I am having the same problem. I uninstalled the game and then redownloaded the client, thinking the client might have become corrupt. I can’t launch the game. The client is at 148KB and stuck.
I had the same trouble last night, and on a whim this morning, I started my computer and managed to launch the game. This evening, I can’t update the client. Of course, now I’ll have to download the entire game so ugh, another day lost.
I am in Indiana. I have Comcast.
Same problem here on my 280×. DO you have your browser open in the background when you play? If so try disabling hardware acceleration or close your browser when you play the game and see if that helps. This may be a driver problem causing a conflict between 2d and 3d clock of the cards.
I have the same problem with my 280×. Much of the time, the card runs flawlessly, and I look at the graphics with my mouth open in awe.
However, I have had some severe artifacting—and that’s what the original poster shows. Those aren’t mere flickers. They’re really bad artifacts!
My card is an Asus R9280X-DC2T-3GD5, and one of my questions is whether this problem is a hardware problem (I’m currently testing the card via OCCT) or a software problem.
