I don’t play anymore that way I don’t see any more balance issues ! it’s super effective
in gw1 you could swap weapons, you had 4 slots and swapped with f1 f2 f3 f4, I don’t know why they didn’t keep it that way.
Why aren’t we allowed to acces all our weapons skills, with a 10s cooldown that would be fair , right now it’s too narrow , you just take the most powerful weapon and a ranged one and that’s it.
Now it’s worse, (not like having to browse your inventory to change weapon was good), take your best weapon and forget about the others.
I didn’t log in for 3 weeks and that’s not helping for me to come back.

problem is : it can be blocked , so it’s pretty bad against guardians, it can be easily dodged , move slowly and if there is a difference of terrain level, your target will just fall on its butt and that’s it. Also the damage ? what is it, like 300 …?
Basically shadow refuge and signet of shadows are always in my builds, they’re too good so I spend my time switching between scorpion wire/shadowstep and blinding powder when I play.
Edit : the base damage is 122 , ahahah!
I have a thief and a guardian both fully stuffed, PvE is a piece of cake with guardian , even with MF gear and I would say that a guardian is mandatory in a group, I would never consider buying MF gear for a thief.
That said I think you’re right, thieves don’t bring much in PvE, that’s the only class that slows down your group the more there is in my opinion ( you can do anything with 5 war/guardians for example.. but 5 thieves? no way).
The good : shadow refuge to rez, skip mobs, lose aggro, your downed skills can help you move away from the trap you died into/ lose aggro with#3 skill), you can spam the interrupt of your offhand pistol on bosses against their big attacks, thieves you summon do good dps. But that’s pretty much it.
The bad : D/D has no AoE dps, you’re squishy and most mobs hit hard and have a lot of HP, your skills don’t really have any synergy with your team.
I don’t think you can really improve this though , that’s how the class is designed.
They just used the easy way to solve problems : no chat , no problems.
Much like blizzard did with starcraft 2 and battle net, there was no chat→ outcry
So now , when someone beats you , you don’t know what skills he used , don’t know his name and can’t talk to him =/= fun

the tooltip has +2 seconds yes , but nothing has changed for the actual duration
The orb of light speed ?yeah whatever.
The main problem with the staff is that it has huge problems with elevation , misses target under or above you , same with the orb , it goes in the direction the terrain you’re on is pointed at. Also the animation with female human is terrible, and the auto-attack damage is delayed, it’s very annoying. That is what needed to be changed

^ the tooltip shows the increased duration but it remains the same in game so nothing has changed

also I don’t get how scepter does more dps than the GS and sword.
From my personal experience in terms of overall DPS : GS >Sword+torch>Scepter+torch>Hammer>Mace>staff
it’s even more frustrating when your places are taken at night, so why would you pay 1gold to upgrade the fort when you know you will lose it instantly
P/D was weak, it’s now weaker
P/P was bad and still is (0 utility, bad dps)
S/D was kind of weak and is now weaker(damage = auto-attacks , skill #3 misses on non-moving dummies)
S/P : decent,#3 skill is useless in dynamic fights
D/D : every single skill is good, just weaker dps now so you guessed it everyone and their mothers will still play with D/D and since Pistols are bad , you will still be forced to used a shortbow for its amazing range.
you seem to have a really good computer , it doesn’t look like that on mine
also rendering issues need to be fixed… -> lots of people using a mesmer’s portal -> you killed all the attackers and they probably didn’t see you
that would be ok if they fixed the buffs’ priorities, 99% of the time you heal/buff the wrong target (npc/pets/minions) , and some skills like orb of light require an ennemy target to cast so the healing part isn’t really about your “skill” but about chance
Same problem here, I’m not in the US , my usual ping is 230 wich makes the game playable ,but any problem server side and it becomes unplayable wich is the case right now. I just logged out after a few minutes, I had like 3 seconds of delay. My server : Arborstone.
Right now i’m grinding the ascalonian catacombs… it will take weeks to get an armor that makes me look like an NPC although I already have a mix of tier 2+tier 3 armor, whisper armor and karma armor… makes me angry!
I’ve been playing with 5 ogre runes and 1 rune of divinity on my guardian, they’re good and all but after hundreds of hours I really want to experiment new runes like Dwayna’s or Earth’s so I have 3 solutions right now :
Either
1) I salvage my armors to get the runes back… (never going to happen , I have some T2/T3 parts)
or 2) I overwrite the runes with new ones wich I might not like after all.
or 3) I buy a complete new set of armor and put the new runes on it.That would take me another 400 hours just to try some runes?(need power/tough/vit)
So yeah , title, please add some 100% chance to get the runes back without destroying the armor , thanks!
Ps : I’ve tried all the runes in the pvp arena already, but it’s hard to tell wether it’s worth it or not without long testing.
