Ah ofc, I’ll do that
Thank you
For the first time I’ve gotten a mini that I actually think fits my character perfectly. So naturally I want to have it out all the time. Problem is that whenever I use the “Deposit all collectables” button it also deposits my mini.
I can’t imagine that Anet would create these wonderful minis just so they could collect dust in the bank. So I am wondering if I am missing something here… Is there anything I need to do to avoid my mini being send to the bank each time I use “Deposit all collectables”? Or do I have to deposit all collectables manually from now on if I want my mini to stay in my inventory so I can have it out?

What kind of upgrades can be put into this book? I’ve tried various level upgrades and none will fit
I’ve had many unforgettable moments in GW2. WvWvW, DE’s and so on.
But there is one moment in particular that stands out and that was when I first came to the Ashen Waste in Mount Maelstrom. That place is ripe with atmosphere. Seriously Anet I wish there was a whole map that was like this place.
Indeed, it is one of my favourite zones now as well. It is beautiful and has a lot of atmosphere.
So I’ve been playing since early access and levelled a Norn Ranger to 80. A week ago I decided to try something different and rolled a Human Guardian. During the cause of my personal story I came to Harathi Hinterlands for the first time.
I just want to say that the Dynamic Event chains against the Centaurs in this area are absolutely epic. They really make you feel like you’re making a valuable contribution to an ongoing war effort on a constantly changing battlefield. I haven’t had this much fun in GW2 before and I have actually been having a lot of fun since day one. Just as I thought the game couldn’t get any better it blows me away yet again.
I would love to see this as well
First of let me start by saying that I really enjoy the personal story and the challenges it gives.
I am a ranger and in the PS mission “Munitions Acquisition” where you’re supposed to steal explosives from the Inquest I was very annoyed that my pet managed to trigger almost every single mine in the map. I can only imagine how annoying this particular mission must be for a minion master necromancer.
Now I don’t know if this is how you guys at Arena want this mission to work for pet classes? If so, then so be it. However if it is not I have two possible solutions to the problem.
1.
I noticed that Demolitionist Tonn could run right over mines without triggering them. You could implement the same for pets.
2.
This is actually my preferred solution and something I’ve asked for in the Ranger forum as well. Give Rangers the ability to dismiss their pet or the ability to command their pet to stay.
Anyway, thanks for a great game and keep up the good work
Indeed I agree with this
Magnificent post op, couldn’t have stated it better myself.
Playing as both a Necromancer and a Ranger I’d like to add that pets in this game is probably the worst I’ve ever experienced in any game.
In relation to the Necromancer. My pets (Especially the elite one) often run of on their own and attack random mobs that I am trying to avoid or sometimes (this is limited to the elite one) just stand idly by and watch as I fight an enemy. Also they don’t always activate their abilities when I command them to.
In relation to the Ranger. There is still the F2 unresponsiveness problem, especially with my Brown Bears “Shake it off” ability. And often when I attempt to get close enough to a node to mine it without agroing enemies standing close to it, my pet will run several steps in front of me and agro the mob anyway.
What I would like to see in relation to some of these issues is more command options for my pet/pets. Like a “stay” option and a “Only attack when I am attacked” option. As for the F2 responsiveness problem I know Anet is working on it and I assume they’re working on the pet AI as well.
Apart from these issues I really do enjoy playing both classes and the game as a whole
Part a) varies depending on each pet, so perhaps a list of the ones that are particularly troublesome could help to get them looked at =)
The brown Bears “Shake it off” ability is the most anoying for me. A lot of times it activates to late or not at all
I must agree with all the above stated. It is kind of surprising though, considering all the care that seem to have gone into creating this game that the necro minions are so poorly designed. I really hope that Arena net will give them an overhaul soon.
I do have the stone. I can get there. Kimmes just doesn’t want to give me anything.
I had the same problem. I solved that by login into gw 1 and going to the hall of monuments and talking to historian Kimmes there. Select the second option when speaking to him. When next you log in to GW 2 your hall of M achievements should show on your char and when you go to hall of M and talk to the historian you should be able to get your rewards.
Doing this just took me to the front page of the calculator. You did help me realize that my GW2 account doesn’t even have the HoM points in the achievements. There’s seriously something wrong. :\
Indeed, in that case there is seriously something wrong. When I asked him it also took me to the calculator and after that everything worked fine. I am sorry it did not work for you. I know how frustrating it is. I only got mine working yesterday, so I’ve been waiting in frustration since head start. I hope you get it working somehow. Good luck

I generally spend a lot more money on f2p games than sub based games. But that is because I have a vanity weakness and a huge bank account.
In relation to GW 2 I haven’t bought a single thing that I need to actually progress in the game. It is my choice to do so and not something I am forced to do by Arena Net.
Creating and running an mmo cost money and those money got to come from someplace. In GW2 they come from game sales and micro transactions. Take it or leave it, the choice is yours.
