I just want to say that some of the coats available are pretty spiffy looking.
I find the medium armor to be a perfect middle ground when it comes to looks. You can easily go from a light, robe-like look resembling that of one of the light armor classes to a heavy-plated gear style, similar to the heavy armor classes.
Great responses everyone!
So if magic can be accessed by everyone for the most part, does that mean that the lesser races of Tyria such as Quaggans and Skritt could become magic using professions if they wished?
Basically I was wondering if the magic used by professions is something that everyone in Tyria has access to, or if magic users such as Mesmers and Elementalists are born with their gifts.
Occasionally when my Asura Ranger switches pets he’ll say:
“I chose you!”
I think this may be a reference to those old Pokemon cartoons, where when they’d send they’re little critters out they’d always say, “I choose you!”
This could totally be a coincidence though. :P
I agree with Chopps here. I’ve been playing this class in my spare time since my Guardian has gotten dull, and I wanted to visit these forums for neat builds and tips but much to my dismay it’s only filled with constant whining and complaining.
It really just turns me off this class, despite the fact that I love my little ranger and his playstyle. I wish there was a separate subforum here for complaints and gripes about rangers.
In one of the Asura storylines….
…..it is explained that the steam creatures come from an alternate dimension where you (the asura) is an evil overlord who invented them, or something along the lines of that.
I’m not sure if they’d be related to the events much because of that.
This is a really neat thing you’re doing!
It’s a shame that the Black Moa isn’t available normally. I love Moas, and that is by far the coolest looking pet in my opinion.
