People might hate me for this, but In CoH (I know some of you hate it) but Dark Melee had Siphon life that worked exactly like some people are wishing SoV worked. Low CD for minimal heals. If SoV had a shorter cool down and probably the same healing potential for a self heal, then this could be a bit of a game changer.
Hi folks. I started GW2 roughly two weeks ago. I currently have a necromancer at lvl 49 and I’ve been having a good time with it. I do mainly PvE and WvW. Haven’t done much dungeoning though. Due to me not wanting the hastle of having to prove myself worthy. So when I get to lvl 80 I just want to run WvW with this character. I don’t know if roaming is a good idea for necros unless they are speced and skilled. So for me I would like to contribute more to the front line in the sense of weakens, heals, regeneration, rezzing, enemy boo. Stripping, etc. I just want to make it to where the zerg or small group I am with can take down enemies quicker while sustaining team mated a bit in battle. Is that possible? Has anyone tried it with any degree of success? Is it frowned upon to build like this? I’m just trying so find an alternate way of contribution since I can’t seem to evade my opponents… Ever lol. Spectral wall is OK along with spectral walk or warhorn 5, but for me there is a major element of combat missing that I thought I could get around.
Ah, ok. Thanks for explaining that. I been saving up these things. For what….i don’t know.
With the luck things, has it been proven that it increases your chances of “luck” in any circumstances? Do people mainly use them for dungeons or simply for normal events/quests? i have yet to used these things.
I’d like to know about anything really. Like special pieces of gear and how they are obtained. Whether or not it is better to sell gear right back to the vendors or sell them on the TP or salvage and sell, or salvage and keep because maybe some of the prices for items on the TP are ridiculous. Most lucrative crafting skills? Good sites for map completion folks? Just to name a few of the items. I’ve searched a few of these topics and the info I usually get back is either vague or debated heavily.
That’s what I’m saying. Lol. I read the sticky notes, but some things I feel I am missing are by word of mouth.
I’ve been playing and having a blast for a little over a week now and I see there are things about the game that I have no idea about. I’ve heard about them, but don’t know about them. Like key farming. I don’t know what you folks mean by that, but I am assuming it is for the black lion’s chests? How does one farm for these? Things like this, I don’t know about. I think I am pretty up on the basic things so far, but I feel there are events and items that I don’t take advantage of because I just don’t know about them. Tips? Anyone? I read some beginner stickies. I feel like there are more “things you should know” pieces.
I’ll check them out. Thanks.
SO, with the build being somewhat beefy, would I be building for conditions so I can last as long as I can and chip away?
Hi folks. I’m new to the GW2 fold. I started of as guardian up to lvl 19, but I wanted something else as an alt or just a change of pace. Necro sounds interesting. I have my necro up to 6 so I only have a beginners feel for it. Questions I have:
- Is my primary stat power? Or some I try some condition type stats?
- Best weapons for solo PvE leveling?
- Best weapons for WvW and PvP?
- Can i successfully go without pets? I don’t particularly like the way they look. Im not a SC zerg HAHA!
- I know this class is probably least liked as far as PvP/WvW, but what is the state of Necros for those? I hear necro is a selfish or self sufficient character, but I saw some healing and weakening abilities.
- Does the Necro roam well at least solo or with a group of 4?
I’m new, so sorry if my questions seem noob.
