You can always delete all your characters and then change your home server. It works that way.

That’s how we say it in-house and how we have NPCs say it in-game through VO.

Hey guys – Error 7 can often pop up for a number of reasons. Unfortunately there isn’t a set “fix” that will resolve it every time and so usually there is a bit of troubleshooting involved. For any of you experiencing this issue, specifically when you are trying to log in, I’d like to have you guys try two things: Winsock reset followed by a DNS flush.

Let’s start with the Winsock reset. To do this, please follow the steps below:

1. Click the “Start” button to bring up the Start Menu.

2. Type in CMD into the “Search programs and files” field but do not hit enter. Doing this will change your start menu to show the program “cmd.exe.”

3. Right-click on “cmd.exe” and select “Run as Administrator.”

4. Type “netsh winsock show catalog >C:\LSP.txt” without the quotes. This will save a file to the root of your C drive called LSP.txt. You don’t need to do anything with this – this is more of a confirmation that these steps were done correctly.

5. Once complete, type “netsh winsock reset” without the quotes. When the command is completed successfully, a confirmation appears, followed by a new command prompt line.

Next, please try clearing your DNS cache. To do this, follow these steps:

1. Press and hold the Windows key and press the R key. This should bring up the “Run” dialogue box.

2. In that box, type “cmd” without the quotes, and click the “OK” button. A DOS window should open.

3. Enter the following command below and press enter: ipconfig /flushdns

This should clear your DNS cache. You may need to perform this command a few times.

Did this and I still have the same problem.

Login on your home server, move to enemies server, troll and kitten with their supply and/or keep upgrades (get funds for all that stuff from your home server).

remove hardcap of dmg skill (AOE spells etc.), leave it on buffs only

It’ll fix zergs very fast also it’ll finally give a chance to small groups to stand against braindead zerg

I’m curious why didn’t devs make is randomly assigned, instead it depends on your server’s rank? It’s boring after a while. I know it only matters for Eternal Battlegrounds, but still come on…

I’m asking because I just fought a guardian from VS who used it. It didn’t help him much but I’d like to know why the hell all of those stupid bundles aren’t banned from WvW!?

First of all I couldn’t be bothered to use search and add my 3 cents to someone’s topic. Hate me, love me, I don’t care.

Now back to the topic.

Lately I started to play more sPvP than WvW and I enjoy it more and more every time I join a tournament (especially those paids 1v1 – great job, leave them there!). Ofc there are some ballance issues, but I’m not going to talk about it. I thing which bugs me recently is that since armours and weapons for characters are all about cosmetics (good!) getting something you like is weird. Cool, I play the game, I gain glory and chests, craft stuff from salvage etc. etc. But… yeah but, in order to get some fancy stuff I need to play a lot and basically win a lot since glory boosters gives only currency not so called RANK and from what I saw in streams of high ranked players you don’t really need glory booster because you have tons of it (glory) anyway when you play a lot (rank 50+).
Back to the point. Things which are only sold (for gems) for sPvP (correct me if I’m wrong) are glory boosters, dyes (which are universal for sPvP and PvE/WvW) and tournament tickets. When for WvW/PvE there are cosmetics (like armour skins), boosters (more than 1 kind) and some other stuff like minipets etc.
My suggesting is to introduce lines of special (fancy) skins (armour, weapon and maybe even skill animations too) for sPvP. So players would have an oportunity to spend their gems Look at DotA 2, LoL and probably tons of other f2p (semi-free2play) games. They have skins for characters (new skins or revamp every now and then), weapons (DotA 2) and other stuff. LoL has exp boosters (we don’t have rank booster), IP boost (we have glory booster).
Also (probably others will hate me for that) stuff like runes, sigils and gems are free (0 glory cost) and you can put them into the bank and pull out and use infinite amounts of it anytime (why when the cost in glory is 0 ?) etc.

TL;DR:
Introduce more gem sink in sPvP (thing worth buying ie.: new skins/animations, rank booster). Take LoL and/or DotA 2 as an example.
Add glory sink (ie.: runes/sigils/jeweles/weapons cost something) to make glory boosters worth using in the LONG run.

I’m not going to spellcheck it so I’m sorry for any mistakes I’ve made.

make so public games would be played with players with similar ranks. I don’t really like to be face rolled by 30+ while I got matched with 1st or 10-.

I don’t care which server I’m joining since you can’t pick a next map nor I can’t filter some maps I don’t like. Make it like in LoL rank matches when you w8 in a queue so you can be teamed with players around your rank.

Seriously why can’t we have the same system we had in beta. Home servers for WvW and if you want to carebear somewhere else just use guest system. Also 1st home transfer for free and you pay for others. Right now this mechanic provide something like flavour of the week server. For example we have huge influx of totaly worthless garbage on Blacktide server. Quality of team chats and wannabe-commanders went down, not to mention long kitten queues :/
