I might be wrong on this didn’t check it myself, but overheard on map chat that in BL Store there is a reset appearance item that allows you to change all aforementioned traits as well as gender.

Official wiki says otherwise – http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Vigil_Asura_Gate

Try zooming out all the way on the map and see if you get the story warp somewhere else, because if it’s in another region one of the warp icons would point you to first available transition zone.

As much as I loved RIFT you have to admit it’s not without the issues (and since we’re on topic of dynamic events neither was WAR for obvious reasons), how many times I couldn’t do anything good because there wasn’t any people around.

I am really sorry, guys, though, I am on Tarnished Coast, and I’ve seen nothing but great populations in all areas, you’re welcome to switch. And I know I am starting a kittenstorm by suggesting people move away from already ghost town servers, but I guess I just lucked out, everything people complain about in these forums, I just can’t bring myself to apply to TC, and I am not even in the guild, though I am anxious to join one in anticipation of my upcoming 80 when I want to dedicate my time for some dungeons and crafting.

Not to start another kittenstorm about endgame, basically what it comes down to is that there is no change in gameplay when you hit 80 compared to when you’re 1-80. You still get to do all the stuff you’ve done while leveling while also working on long term goals like finishing your achievements (crafting, exploration, PvP) as well as working slowly towards getting exotics and legendaries. It’s not that there are/aren’t issues with the endgame, the large chunk of that is that GW2 tries to avoid gear grinding in a typical sense. I hope I could be objective, as I’d hate to be a guy who turns such a positive and light-hearted post into yet another sidist thread.

+1 for a ranger, though I am a Norn (wurm and animal forms are awesome).

I heard people say they aren’t enjoying ranger much, I gotta say it took me some levels to understand what the class is truly about.

Now floating at lvl66 I have a hard time creating an alt (I wanna try Necromancer, or Elementalist, no, Engineer!) or spending some time on my Charr Guardian

What kind of game play do you enjoy most? That would be a good start. Though the typical roles have been somewhat blurred in GW2, everyone can do what they want to.

Good timing starting it before the weekend, be prepared to not have any sleep. Enjoy the game! And welcome!!

Level suggestion too low for missions?

Also back walking is very slow, turning around and running away is a lot more efficient if you absolutely need to run, otherwise dodging is a much better alternative. Learning to move with a mouse, like others suggested is a must.

Have to agree with others, you’re a ranger for a reason, the way aggro works in this game you can easily make sure mobs that are even on you at the moment can lose interest in you if you disengage/survivor skill (like lightning crack). You’re pretty much doing the opposite, grabbing everyone’s attention. You also seem to dodge only when you’re already in a pickle rather than avoid being attacked at all. As a ranger with some attention on toughness I still have to be very careful around multiple mobs. I also notice you haven’t used your pet for anything at all, he just follows you around. Don’t forget that you get to control your pets skill which can help you with AOE or tanking. Let alone you can switch pets on the fly if they get into too much trouble. You rarely pay attention to your health, sitting with 10% health and heal off cooldown. Basically practice dancing around your enemy and you will have a better time. Hope my 2c can help

I’ve read posts you’re referring to. Plenty of them.

I’ve also read posts that had the similar vibe to yours. I like the latter better.

I too enjoy this game a lot and it’s coming from a person who was interested in the game when it was first announced that it’s going to be made. I followed the updates for a very short time as I eventually got bored. I get bored with games easy.

Like I’ve mentioned it to many people I talk about GW2 to, this is a first game in a long time that I want to be playing when I am not playing it rather than log in and get into it as I go along.

Thank you ArenaNet and thank you to people like you who appreciate what was done for us for a measly $60. I know this game has plenty of people like that as I’ve seen some great members of the community and they single-handedly cancel out all the negativity.

So what if I get bored with it slightly less quickly than the typical game. It’s the most amount of fun I had in a while and I have a feeling if I step away from the game for a while when I decide to come back there is going to be more awesome things that have been introduced.

As a Ranger player myself, we get some good DoT (poison on short bow, burn with torch), but it’s still quite a mix of nuking/DoT/pet control, which only makes it more fun than just being a one trick pony. But it seems this game was made for being a jack-of-almost-all-trades and actually doing it well.

I might be stating the obvious here, but from I understand (I am still a bit low level, only 40+) WvWvW has exporation content too, have you accounted for those?
