I’m on HoD and the last two skirmishes, Green has managed to get over 10K points for the skirmish. Do we have a duplicate Green BL again?

I’m just wondering why Wednesday? Did the snow storm and subsequent power failure cause all updates (not just Head of the Snake) to get pushed forward from the normal Tuesday to now Wednesday, making Wednesday the normal patch day from now on?

I agree about blade shards, chak eggs, mysitic forge stones, etc. I also suggest resonating slivers.

I undertsand why you don’t want to put crafted things in. Would it be hard to at least make more things stackable in the bank, like the various salvage kits, harvesting tools, etc.?

Every month I end up getting quite a few BL salvage kits. It’s great to get them for free, but it would be even better if they stacked.

It would be extremely hard, if not impossible to make those things stack.

I’d be quite happy to have a MF recipe that lets me put in X 25 item BL Salvage kits and get out a 250 use one, or even a merchant

Just a thought….but couldn’t these in fact be considered currencies and be added to the wallet instead?

No because the rubies/wood can be salvaged and sold to merchants.

Except this was the case with pristine fractal relics and they just changed the merchant so one pristine relic, instead of being salvaged into 15 normal relics could be used to purchase the normal relics. Do the same for Bloodstone Rubies and Petrified Wood. The only problem is that right now they salvage for a random amount and instead of being a direct sell x rubies / wood, get y magic, it would have to be sell x rubies, get y boxes that open and give you random z of magic.

I for one would love to see the storage caps raised, as I’m sure anyone who has whole bags – or even whole alts – reserved for storing bloodstone dust and empyreal fragments can attest to. Why can we only store 250 items? Why not 500? or 999?

Aside from that, writs and tomes of experience, and boosters.

The desert borderlands should have it’s own battle wide effect rather than just copying blood-lust.

For instance restart the core collection event, however this time make it for an ability that causes any enemy siege near towers/keeps that makes them take 20% extra damage.

Or make it so the cannon, rather than hitting every gate, is a target-able effect. You get to pick 3 gates for it to hit, in a similar fashion to skyhammer.

I like the idea of simultaneous, however IMO, I think a third distinctive BL should be created eventually, with the goal of making each BL one of the 3, randomly picked for each match up. IMO, the simplest method would be, this week all the Red BLs are ____, but I think having it completely random for each of the match ups would be even better.

The current plan is to rotate the borderlands maps each quarterly update. That said, now that we are actively polling the community, perhaps we can start exploring other options.

For instance, nothing is really stopping us from having a combination of ABL and DBL maps running simultaneously. 2 of one and 1 of the other. If we polled that, and players approved it, then there’d be no need for the rotation, and players on both sides of the issue could play on their preferred map. The downside of course, would be any perception of imbalance that may arise from one map being considered the stronger “Home” map, but we could always give the more defensible map to Red/Blue and leave the less defensible map to Green.

I like the idea of both maps at the same time, but I think a 3rd should be developed so each color can be randomly given one of the 3.

First, love the stuff added in the new patch, but having some issues in LA, namely depending on where I look, things turn green. I’m linking 2 screenshots to show what I mean. For both i’m standing on the Gate hub Plaza Waypoint

Things worked fine yesterday before the patch, and the other zones I’ve been in tonight, a couple fractals, wvw and both guild halls all seem fine.

On Shadowsteps and No Valid Path

I have no problem with the changes made to shadowstepping / teleporting, with one BIG exception, consistency. Sometimes my thief can shadowstep up stairs, etc, while other times, depending upon the keep / tower/ etc I can’t. Ideally all of these structures should act the same, if I can walk up it WITHOUT jumping, I should be able to shadowstep up it, but this is not currently the case.

If you know of someone on SF that’s hacking, let us know an account name (pm me) and we’ll be certain to let everyone know we don’t want them on our server. As for us teaming up with AR against you, it’s laughable. We beat both of you up an equal amount. Both servers need to improve their tactics and learn that if we’ve just rolled through a borderlands, that BL is now paper and the other server should perhaps go take that rather than banging their heads against our T3 keeps. Easy target vs hard target, it’s a no brainer.

I like the addition of the Siege Disablers, however there needs to be more of a counter on them than just reflects. It’s hard to plan for a reflect when they can effect things through gates. Perhaps a stacking buff on disabled siege that results in immunity from the disabler when x number of stacks are reached.

Please tell me you’re not being serious in this question, cause if you actually read the blog post, you would have seen the following.

“With dyes becoming account unlocks, the demand for dye will decrease and unidentified dyes will no longer drop as loot but will still be available from the Mystic Forge and select in-game rewards.”

Guildwars 2 Soundtrack from DirectSong

As pretty much everyone is aware, the people who ordered the soundtrack from DirectSong fall into 3 categories

1.) got it without issue
2.) got it after a long wait
3.) never got it

I happen to fall into category 3, as I’m sure quite a few others do. Last summer I contacted ANet support looking for some help or guidance in resolving my issue and was told they couldn’t really help me. At the time, I was fine with this and I went on to make a BBB complaint against DirectSong, a complaint they ignored, which annoyed me even more, but there isn’t that much one person can do.

Recently however IGN went to bat for one of the GW2 players;

Now while DirectSong never replied to them according to the article, ANet did help out and sent a copy of the soundtrack to the player. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m happy he got a copy, but some of us have been waiting a lot longer than he was (28 weeks), I myself have been waiting for about 15 months. I don’t expect ANet to suddenly give out a copy of the soundtrack to everyone who can prove they’re owed one, I doubt they have that many copies laying around, hell the copy they did give was probably someones personal copy and they thought it would be a nice thing to do. But I’d really love to see ANet stand behind us, the players, and put a bit of pressure on DirectSong to honor their commitments. DirectSong took my money ($10, I think it was $10 and I don’t feel like checking my records right now, cause I had the coupon for a signed copy of the soundtrack from buying the physical collectors edition), and gave me nothing in return. In my books that is THEFT. Maybe it’s a small amount of money and not worth going after them for it on my own, but when I think about how many different threads I’ve seen on this subject, I think that number is quite a bit bigger. Perhaps it’s big enough that lawyers should start to get involved.

Ideally I’d love to learn that ANet or NCSoft unleashed their legal department against DirectSong to try and get things set right, IMO, that would generate a HUGE amount of goodwill in the player community, but at the same time, I’d be just as happy if someone in the player community who has the time and/or resources also took the reigns on this. Surely someone in the GW2 community is a lawyer or knows a lawyer who might want to do a bit of pro bono work to set a wrong right and show DirectSong and other businesses like them that we don’t like being screwed over.

There is a chat option if you have a ticket, just select the right option, it’s not there if the ticket isn’t in your inventory

Ascended Rings from FotM

Let me preface this with I’m not sure if there is a bug here or not.

As near as I can tell, 4 rings are now missing from the vendor in FotM, Circle of Light, Yakkington’s Ring, Snaff’s Gyre, and the Marriner’s Compass. This is understandable since they had magic find are were of the Wayfarer and Explorer types of equipment. My question is thus. What happens if we have an unascended version of these rings and then upgrade them in the mystic forge to create their ascended version? As it stands right now, I have 2 of these rings, as yet unused on any character, so I can choose some stats for them. I’d like to be able to upgrade them in the MF at some point, but I’m not sure what I’ll get, if anything. Would I get an ascended version of the ring that I can then choose stats on, would I get a ring the same as the one I picked the stats from, for example, if I picked Berserker stats, would I put in for example the Circle of Light with Berserker stats, and get out a Red Ring of Death, or would I get nothing since magic find is now gone?

ArenaNet set this precedent many years ago… They’ve extended an event in the past, when there was a natural disaster in Asia. They’ve even repeated events a couple of times (although, those were because of technical failures, IIRC).

This is however a different game and companies are allowed to change their policies.

why is it that almost all of the enemies in the sylvari world are massively over powered. the story is my first example i am doing a level 16 part and all of the enemies do 90 to 200 points damage. i am a thief with little hp. then there is the krat witch she is impossible to kill. i have tried with about 15 players to kill her and we all die in two maybe three hits. i thought this game was supposed to be balanced. I would mind have a couple high level players come and help but they are level capped because of the area. So at this point i wasted money and time trying out a uncommonly played race. i now understand why no one wants to be sylvari. what i think need to hapkitten the devs need to blance out the entire area so that it will be enjoyable to play a sylvari.

You obviously haven’t tried the event with the elemental in the Asura newbie zone
