I am late nighter myself, 11-4 CDT. There are several PDT people as well. I would say the crowd is smaller than peak time obviously, but still enough people around to help out / have fun.

Guild RP tonight with some newly-initiated agents of the Remnants Acquisitions! Searching for intel on a prisoner who escaped from our guild hall… among the ogres of Wildlin Narrows.

Big Kudos to our PvE Officer for helping me get all the bandit bounty achievements until 4AM last night — even though she already had them.

Please join us for games and refreshments as we celebrate the fun of being both RP and PvX on Tarnished Coast, the Unofficial GW2 Roleplaying Server, which also happens to have a fun WvW scene.

Tavern-style RP is welcome, but you do not need to RP unless you wish to do so. We shall also provide boxes of fun and other games. Bring a character, bring a friend, or just bring yourself!

After the party, we invite anyone who wishes to attend a WvW Shenanigans event.  You may continue with the RP in a more military/combat style, or simply fight Fort Aspenwood and Sea of Sorrows with our WvW gang!

Songs shall be sung, epic sagas shall be written, and much partying shall be had.  We hope to see you there!

Whew! Just finished Troll’s Revenge and Hidden Garden on our weekly Great Jumping Puzzle Expedition.

What a fantastic time we had racing through the new Jumping Puzzle Obstacle course built by our fabulous Hall Asssistants for Guild Social Night! Congratulations to our winner of an endless quaggan tonic, Bloomins, on being the speediest navigator!

Just had a lovely time doing map completion at 2pm ET / 7 PM GMT. Then Fractals at 4:30 ET… And now hearing up for some raids later tonight! =)

I’d really love to see the shortbow range returned to 1200. I know they originally lowered it to be less than the longbow, but they’ve since increased longbow to 1500… so…

Whether it be World vs World, Team Player vs Player, or just some mini games, the PvP Department is always striving to be a welcoming, fun, and laid back place for people to smash in a face or two!

RP
We provide our members with an immersive and fun experience for the new roleplayer to the seasoned writer alike. Whether it be in-game or on the forums, we want to promote imagination and storytelling that spans beyond just the Remnants of Hope guild borders. By working closely with other guilds, as well as our other GW2 Departments within RoH and organizing events with them, we aim for a continuous living story that people can get involved in and help to continue shaping.

Playing GW2 Socially or Casually
Although we have members doing progression fractals and working on legendaries, we also have many members who play when they have time, or enjoy the simpler pleasures in GW2 like levelling slowly or going on random adventures. We also have a very inviting approach when it comes to difficult content: many of our members are happy to bring along a “newbie” to dungeons or new content, but there’s no pressure for you to join events you aren’t interested in!

About The Guild
Remnants of Hope was founded on June 7, 2009. Originally a Star Wars Galaxies guild, we have since moved on to play GW2, SWTOR and Wildstar, while continuing to have an active, positive presence in our games. In GW2, we currently have a group of about 15 – 25 members who play daily, with many other more casual players who pop in a few times a week, and we are looking to expand our ranks.

So are you talking about going out and taking objectives and killing other players and just generally being an asset to your server in wvw while you do your RP? Or are you talking about sitting in or near spawn and RPing? Because if the latter I don’t think you’d be very popular on any server unless they’re fairly low tier and not trying to rise up.

Ideally being an asset but working it into a storyline. Probably as a mercenary company.

Yea, if you WvW rarely, you don’t really need to all be on the same server.

Or send some of your members to FA so you can do war RP: enemies, spies, star-crossed lovers.

Fort Aspenwood has spy WvW rp?! oH CRAP I JUST GOT THIS. That’s actually an insanely good idea! FA or SoS!

WvW RP is a consideration. And despite megaservers, being on TC allows me to stumble on “wild” rp far more often. I suppose guesting would accomplish the same purpose… but going back to guesting every day is not an optimal solution.

My guild is PvX/RP. So, of course, we’re located in Tarnished Coast, the unofficial RP server. The problem is, we have a lot of new players who can’t get into TC because it’s full all of the time. Sometimes I feel like we’re taking up space when we WvW rarely. However, there is no secondary RP server that I can discern. I think it’s time one is introduced into the community. My whole guild would very likely transfer to a new unofficial RP server, should one be recognized.

Is there any possibility of a secondary RP server happening?

Everybody bumps… Sometimes.
