Hi there!
My guild is PvX & RP, definitely casual (we play for fun!) and family-esque. We’re organized yet balanced and adopt a “play as you like” mentality. Our current RP officer is extremely active as well, so we have a healthy bit of every part of the game. PvE is the most popular department (although that’s to be expected).

There are many people a) over 30 — and even many active players over 40 as well, mostly moms and dads, and b) night owls or (more common) pacific time. You definitely will NOT be the only older player.

My guild shares the tag [HOPE] with several other guilds, and a member of one of them recently requested we change our tag to a different word. I’d be open to discussing it with my guild, but as far as I can tell, it’s not possible to actually change a tag. Is that correct?

ETA: Just read Drigan’s comment. There are quite a few of us, actually. Hope Rides Alone, Hope Remains. I think, seeing as you’re a hardcore WvW Guild and also not on our server, it’s not a huge conflict of interest.

We have, however, discussed potentially changing our tag to [RoH]. I can bring it up again, but I doubt we’ll be changing it. We’re a multigaming community, and it’s [HOPE] wherever applicable. :/

Playing GW2 Socially or Casually
Although we have members doing progression fractals and working on legendaries, we also have many members who play when they have time, or enjoy the simpler pleasures in GW2 like levelling slowly or going on random adventures. We also have a very inviting approach when it comes to difficult content: many of our members are happy to bring along a “newbie” to dungeons or new content, but there’s no pressure for you to join events you aren’t interested in!
