I would enjoy if Stronghold will be a WvW for just two guilds in lesser scale. In any other case i doubt if will be interesting.

Just imagine a possibility to fill a special query ( questionnaire? ) in game ( age, language, city, interests and hobbies, game activity ( PvE, PvP, WvW, RP and etc. ) ), and a possibility to find friends and new members in guild through that kind of system, setting parameters you need.

For example, i am looking for russian players from 18 to 30 years old, just to make friends or invite them in guild. Maybe i am looking only in my city, for example.
The same goes for interests. It’s not a secret that players collaboration and community is one of the strongest parts in any mmo game. So why it should be great only if you already have real friends who wish to play with you?

Why it can’t be allowed for players to actually find friends in game instead?

Finding potential friends by tagged interests? Maybe not everyone will use this feature, but still wouldn’t it be kitteneful tool for some players, who especially enjoy an online game via relations, meeting new people with same interests and etc?
Because now it’s like a random chance to meet someone in game who has the same interests as you, not speaking about age, country and etc. And the more exotic interests you have, the harder will be for you to find randomly someone with it.

It’s not that hard to make, but it will be very useful. Wouldn’t it be great?

Just put “+” or something if you like/support this idea.

Allow to save Traits Builds in PvP

It would be nice, if i could manage my friends list – making different folders for my friends. For example: “Friends from RL” folder, “Guild Buddies” folder, “Just comrades” and etc.
It’s hard to remember every one’s account name, when you have a lot of friends and to finally get lost.

Also, it would be nice to make possible to save traits builds. I need it in PvP.

My aim is to make the best WvW guild in Guild Wars 2. I have enough talent, enough patience and a good reason for that. First of all, i am making guild from scratch with random players , without any help – we already have 95 members where 15~ are active WvW players, but it’s hard to rally more than 5 at the same time.
Reason why i want that is simple, i want to become game-designer in ArenaNet. So my will to make the best WvW guild is linked to a real aim in real life.
I am purposeful. I started playing the first day of the game, i reached 80 after 11 days. I maked enough efforts to gather around 30-40 active WvW players and i could rally 10-15 players at the same time, but then i had some troubles in real life and i wasn’t playing for 2-3 weeks. But due to guild members, guild didn’t lost in numbers – but now i can rally only 5 players at once, because half of active WvW players left during this period.
And i have a good plan how to make the best WvW guild in Gw2 – my “best card”.
1. Recruitment Strategy – i perfectly understood that i can’t recruit enough players alone. Even if i would be a zombie who could do so – my recruitment speed would be “slow” for guild progress. There is no much free players in RoF server and our guild isn’t big enough so players could find us themselfes. And because we are a growing guild – we need recruitment like air. So i decided to make Recruitment Tax – you need to “pay” 25s per week, money is deposited in Guild Bank. For every invited active WvW player you receive 25s back until “money pool” in guild bank is empty the current week. So you can easily return your 25s every week by inviting one new player, if you don’t want to invite – no need, someone will invite extra players and get your 25s. Only for 80 levels. Better have small growing guild than many “dead” members.

2. Qualification level – i understand the main keys to victory in WvW are: tactics, combat, defense, scouting, siege strategy. And i will rise guild members qualification level to new heights. Now we “passed” “newbie” level – i maked Rookie Guide and maked sure all knows it. The next step is basic level. So step by step we will become professionals and we will have good “qualification” system for all rookie players. It’s hard to explain how i see all that, but i will try do so on example: Imagine a team who is coordinated and disciplined, following orders; few tacticians who is making awesome and hard tactics to trick enemy ( diversions, sabotage, false attacks, retreating, dividing enemy ); players who not only spent many hours in sPvP, who has 80 lvl with full exotic, with good skill builds and coordination, with RIGHT skills in current situation ( mesmers can use portals and mass invisibility, guardians can use shield of the avenger to protect comrades from projectiles, elementalists use signet of earth to ressurect 3 players at the same time and etc. ); scouts who report every enemy movement, wardens who secure supply roads always, saboteurs who are ready to take a camp any time when it’s not defended and tacticians who give orders in dynamic situation so our troops attack enemy forces by parts; defenders who can place 10 ballistas and stay in Tower, who knows that we need also place catapult in front of the gates inside , rams outside ( to prevent enemy to build their rams ), 2 catapults on the heights to destroy enemy catapult, maybe even trebuchet; and etc. etc. etc.

3. Career Boosts – i really need officers now. You can make a fast Career in this growing guild, if you are good enough though. Later all “hot” spots will be closed by other players. I need combat officers ( who can rise combat qualification level, who can understand what he’s team did wrong in this current battle, how to improve discipline, coordination, battlefield tactics and etc. ), tacticians ( who can make tactic guides for every possible situation and who can lead troops to gain tactic advantage ), marshals ( who can make so heavy defence of every point, so enemy will never take them; who knows what siege weapons and where to place ) and siege masters ( who knows every good spot on map for siege weapon and etc. ). I don’t need you to be so good as i described – you need to want to become so good.

If you was trying to get weapon skin from Black Lion Chest and you didn’t, you have second chance
Place Candy Corn + 6 Mystic Tonics + 2 different Boosts in Mystic Forge and you will receive Mad King Chest. It has a small chance to give you weapon skin, as it’s described.

“Merciful Intervention” – i am not sure that it teleports to ally with lowest health. I think the distance plays more important role and that’s why it works bad. It should teleport to an ally with lowest health in restricted distance from Guardian. Or even better – to downed player ( maybe it should help downed player faster than without using this skill ? would be good skill then )

“Signet of Mercy” – i am pretty sure it don’t work at all ( active )

“Sanctuary” – don’t protect from AoE damage ? really?

“Shield of the Avenger” – don’t protect from AoE too, but i guess it can be made for balance

I founded a good way to stay safe while in stealth. I thought it. A Trait that blinds foes when i go stealth. But it works awful – they are blinded only in really close distance and always somehow they clean blinding in 1-2 seconds.

I am passionate mmorpg player and my fav class is rogue/thief. I played DAoC, i played WoW and now i am playing Gw2. Also, i am game designer.

I really love to use invisibility and backstab my foes. I don’t care about effectivness, i just love this playstyle. And Gw2 provides what i need ( for example, i couldn’t use that playstyle in WoW; even when they maked Shadow Dance ). But there is some problems that affects my fav build and i can’t enjoy it.

First of all, i spam “Cloak and Dagger”. And i don’t understand why my initiative is used when my foe is out of attack range and automatically says “miss”. Sure, now i use it carefully only when my foe is close, but that’s not very comfortable.

The main problem is that while i am in invisibility – i can be attacked by aoe. And because even normal attacks are some kind of AoE, it’s totally not fair. Stealth – is the core of my build , but when i enter in it, i am easily attacked and knocked down. Because of that i have to spam Backstab right after i get stealthed , otherwise i will be punched / knocked down or something else. So , please make a special Trait somewhere in Shadow Arts:

It can be named: “Shadow / Dark + Cloak / Sanctuary” , personally i think the best is “Dark Sanctuary”

It makes thief invincible while in stealth ( because stealth can be used only for 3-4 seconds and it can’t be spammed , i think it’s fair ).

And i don’t really appreciate the idea that i can’t trigger stealth right after i used backstab, so maybe another Trait in Shadow Arts that allows Thief to trigger stealth right after leaving it could help ( it sounds very logic as a Trait , but i am not sure about balance; maybe it should be restricted to 1-2 uses in 60 seconds – so you can reenter stealth right after leaving it only 2 times every 45-60-80 seconds ).

Both Traits are very logic and it would be awesome for my playstyle. I really hope your game designers can read my topic
