So here’s Iggy Popa, my level 80 Ascended Necro/Reaper. When she not corrupting foes in WvW she likes to hang out at the Dead End bar singing karaoke. She’s fond of Broadway showtunes……

I would like some “plain” armor sets. Call the town clothes if you like, but things like Tee Shirts and Tank Tops, simple shirts with collars (both long and short sleeves). Blue Jeans, Kahki pants, cargo short, etc.

6,356 hours played over the past 1,412 days with ZERO precursors dropped.

However, I’ve just finished making my 14th Legendary weapon so I don’t think I’m too concerned about a free precursor at this point in the game.

FYI, for what it’s worth I’m 57 years old and have never won a single Lotto jackpot either. I wonder why folks think time spent doing something increases their odds of winning at a random event.

just an FYI….

I bought the shared inventory slot when released and after reading the forums and found that my “extra” tools and salvage-o-matics were not consider refundable (due to age) I went a different route – I asked for a refund of the Shared Inventory Slot. I owned the slot for less than 24 hours when I submitted the request but was denied the refund since I had installed it.

Buyer beware I guess (see below)

“Heya again,

I apologize that I misunderstood your request at first. Normally, we would refund your gems for the items that you purchased within 24 hours. However, since you used the Shared Inventory Slots, we regret that we are unable to offer you a refund. We are unable to remove inventory slots from your account.

Regards,

So, the response from ANET has bothered me enough that instead of trying to get a refund for the extras tools and salvage-o-matics. I decided to request a refund for the “Shared Inventory Slots” item.

I can’t justify spending 2800 gems for the QoL improvement that make my previous purchase of almost 10,000 gems worthless.

Sorry ANET, I just can’t support this.

I thought this was an amazing deal, I couldn’t wait to buy the gems to purchase them. I thought we’d get to exchange/refund the previous purchased tools (like in the past) but then I came to the forums and found out that ANET is not doing that.

Wow, I went immediately from very happy to very sad.

This just doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve always thought their Customer Service was great, they’ve always treated me well. Their current response has stained that perception and I don’t like that.

I’d really like to see the top notch Customer Service I know and love return.

LFG Fractal Guild (NA) with a Special Request

in Looking for...

Posted by: dbill.7483

dbill.7483

I’ve basically reached a point where I’m stuck trying to complete my Central Tyria Mastery lines without help. I need 7 more points and the biggest source for these are tied to Fractal Achievements 12 or Living Story 2 achievements 8. I figured that it may be a little easier to get help with the fractal ones since people run these on a regular basis.

I not a fractal runner but I need to learn. I’m looking for a guild that caters to Fractal Newbies that would be interested in helping.

I have 11 alt’s (all 80’s), 1 of each professional and all specialization unlocked. I have 3 sets of ascended armor (1 of each weight class) and various ascended/legendary weapons, backpacks and trinkets (just don’t have the AR).

I don’t think I’m the only one stuck trying to finish the Tyria Mastery line, so if there’s a guild out there that could help, I’d much appreciate it. And as a bonus you’ll get an active guild member in the bargain.

thanks in advance

I’d like to think Anet was trying to do the right thing here (hey! we released new boosters); but once again, their execution ended up screwing a portion of the existing player base. Why does it always take the vocal “pitchfork and torches” crowd to get Anet to do the right thing here?

Instead of removing the karma or badges, why not add the “player kills” to you servers score? Give the WvW players a reason to fight in EOTM. Right now, it only dilutes your server and doesn’t add any benefit.

you missed the point, its not about how easy it is, its about how interesting it is to start over, versus how interesting it was before.

My point wasn’t really about how interesting this would be to a veteran player.

A new player wouldn’t know the skills, traits have changed. It appears that Level 8 can be achieved fairly quick so I don’t think most new player would have known the underwater skills are missing.

I didn’t level my 2nd, 3rd or 10th alt the same way I leveled my first. but at least I had that original experience to help guide me to make interesting choices on how I would level those alts. New players don’t have that knowledge to help them.

A “veteran” player would just pick those underwater skills with a quick jump in any body of water probably after using a scroll, tomes, writs, EOTM, sPVP, etc.

I bought a second account on Monday (for the extra bank space, storage expansion, etc). So just for grins, I deleted my bank alt mule and started over to see how long this really took (I actually didn’t want to level these alts because of all the “hate” for the NPE).

On a thief, It took me an hour to get from start to level 8 (where underwater unlocks) and I wasn’t even trying hard (no food, boosts). Really? all this complaining about an hour? I honestly didn’t even notice, I was running around unlocking stuff roughly every 10 minutes.

Previously (old system), I had to spend an hour just running around unlocking each weapon skill for each weapon.

I really don’t think this NPE is as bad as all the forum folks make it out to be. Yeah, traits are probably in the wrong place, but I could level this thief all the way to 80 with just dagger/pistol and sword/pistol (blinds and interrupts can go a long way).

Why Can't Farmers understand

in Guild Wars 2 Discussion

I was there up to the last minutes and I didn’t see the “toxicity” during the Amber Fort events. I thought the map I was on was awesome, a large guild organized it, dropped food and banners. We killed stuff, always complete the breech event, collected chest.

I really enjoyed this fight, it was large, messy, with lots of players, lots of mobs. I think it was one of the best example of what Anet can do. I wish they’d do more dynamic events like this, let the farmers come, it made for a great scaled up event.

Looking for family friendly NA Guild

in Looking for...

Posted by: dbill.7483

dbill.7483

Well, it’s been almost a year since my WvW guild disbanded and I’ve basically been running solo ever since. I’ve tried answering map chat guild recruitment’s and it’s not working for me. With the new Living Story just around the corner, I think I’d like to find a Guild that “fits”.

About me….

Well, I’m new to MMO’s, my son talked me into GW2 (playing since pre-release, currently on Sea of Sorrows). I normally play Guardian (WvW) or Engineer (open world). I have 10 characters, a level 80 of each profession and a male and female of each race. I consider myself a casual player although I am on most nights (between 7pm and 11pm EST). I’m not much of a talker but I’m always respectful to others and I expect to be treated the same way.

About you….

I want 2 things from your Guild

1) I want a “family friendly” environment.
My definition of mature doesn’t include slurs, bullying or non-stop offensive language. I can’t filter that on Teamspeak and I don’t want to listen to it 3+ hours every night (I’ve left a few guilds in less than an hour because of this).

2) I want a Guild that actually does things as a group.
You want me to “100% rep” but I want more than a once a week guild mission for that rep requirement (I’m in TTS because they plan daily events).

Are you an active, friendly, respectful Guild? Tell me about, I’d love to join.

I also failed to get credit for Blazeridge Steppes earlier today.

I thought that maybe I made a mistake tracking my completion progress but after reading through this thread, I don’t think the mistake was mine.

I agree that it would be nice to have some in-game progress tracking available so that I know which invasions I have left to go, instead of just recompleting all of them to find which one I’ve missed. Without that, I don’t think I’ll spend any more time trying to complete this achievement.
