Yeah I do have HoT. Also what you’re saying I can’t solo living story season 2 can I?
Hello, as returning player or well I can pretty much call myself a newbie since I never did much at GW2. And main reason for that is I never had enough time to play multiple games so I rather stick to one I knew really well (WoW).
Anyways my question is as the title follows. What living story events can I do right now? Can I do that ice and fire dragon or is only ice dragon story available to me right now? I know I can purchase season 2 if I’m not mistaken and I know that part with ice dragon is ongoing but I’m not sure if I can do that fire dragon thing too.
Thanks guys. Nice feedback I’ll put it to good use, I’ll focus on unlocking my mastery spec first I think and then I’ll finish off my personal story, I don’t have Season 2 I thought of buying it or if there is some good resource to read upon it I’ll do that instead for now.
Since I got boosted items which seem to be quite bad do you think people will accept me into fractal groups as someone suggested?
Thanks for answer. Yeah I like lore alot at games if it’s weak I lose interest into games really fast. And GW2 seems really to be loaded with lore. So guess I’ll finish my lore quest first, but only mistake I did is when I boosted my guardian to max level wish I haven’t, I only did 52% of world map exploration so that kinda nailed me down.
Hello, today or well just now I decied to boot up some GW2, I haven’t played for a long time and I just purchased HoT. Now that I’m max level once again with some gifted items I’m ready to jump into Jungle. But here is my question, as I haven’t finished my main story quest yet including I haven’t done any of previous living stories~ scarlet thing was it?
My question is simple should I continue my journey into jungle or should I go back to finish my main story quest first and after that previous living stories which are available as far I noticed ingame? Or is there some general guide around that I could look into what to do as “newcomer” once max level. I think I have been away for more than year and half so there is alot of new stuff around and I’m just a bit overwhelmed now and not sure what to do, as people on general chat don’t really answer my questions.
Thanks mate! Fast response!
Hey guys, I have been afk for a very long time and missed out huge chunk of the lore. Could some one be so kind to point me out to a good source to watch all living story videos from First chapter to latest one.
I did check my self but I really can’t tell which story is the first one…
~Regards.
Basically I’m stuck in between necromancer, ranger or elementalist! Recently I have returned to game and I just can’t pick the right class for me.
What I’m looking for is the class that performs very well at PvE content. I’m not much into PvP, but that doesn’t mean I wont do occasional PvP from time to time.
Please if you could share your experience trough dungeons, which class performs awesome, and I don’t want to pick a class that people will want to avoid!
-Thanks!
I’m looking for EU server. Sorry for late response did some hallowed stuff!
Hello fellow gamers/players could any one be so kind to answer me few questions, thanks!
Basically I played GW2 like one year ago due lack of content and lack of time I had to leave game, but now when I’m back I would like to get fresh start on a new server and maybe a new guild!
Some things I’m looking for are:
I love to pvp: So which server would be best to suit my needs? I want active WvW server so please point me out to one.
Also I like to do PvE, it was always side thing for me to spend some time if I get burned out from PvP!
Also note that I will be starting fresh from level one as I have deleted my old level 80 warrior.
Also if any one wants to acompany me with leveling I’d love that!
Hey, I’ll keep it short… I have just returned to GW so I just need few answers and thats it.
Basically before I left GW2 I have played a warrior dps build. But class kinda became way too repetitive and boring. Which resulted as me leaving game…
Now I can’t decie what to play, I’m torn between Guardian, Thief and Ranger maybe even necromancer.
I know that Guardians got high survivebility and a low dps but I’m worried it’s a class that is not really wanted at dungeons. Is this true?
And what about rangers? Are they still over populated class? Are they any good for PvE dungeons?
And necros? Are they still weak for dungeons, I can’t seem to find any proper info when it comes to PvE content. Almost all builds are pure WvW or spvp.
Just curious, since you think GW2 has no real end game…
Could you please tell us about an MMORPG that in your opinion had a good end game? And tell us what was so good about it?
Lineage2 had in my opinion best end game so far (yeah leveling was long and boring grind but eventually it paid off) (GW1 had lovely end game too) (WoW had nice itemization and decent end game when it was new~ not that many raids but still it was nice due properly balanced PvE) My point is pure PvP games simply can’t be sucesfull and fun without proper and balanced PvE content. GW2 currently feels like Counter strike 1.6 with leveling system.
Look at Aion it was pure pvp game for 2 years and it faild misreably now when they added PvE stuff game gained quite few milions of subs/players (even while it was pay to play players returned thanks to PVE content and less grind)
I’m not sure why do you bring your arogancy here… if you can’t accept my opinion please just leave. Once you get to max level at GW2 and after some farming you will realise how dull and boring “end game is”
I do know that not every one is bored but players are already drop like flies… I had full friend list of people that I played with and not it’s empty including my guild that had 223 people there are less than 18 peeps online at daily basis.
Not trying to be arrogant, I just honestly don’t understand why a lot of people feel like GW2 has an end-game inferior to other MMORPGs, and I’m trying to see your perspective.
Also, just for the record, I have never really played the end-game for any MMORPG, except for maybe UO (if it can be considered to have an end-game) because I normally get tired of them before I get to the end-game, or the end-game seems unappealing to me.
The only thing that I think WoW had for an end-game that GW2 doesn’t have is raiding…is that what this is essentially all about?
And in response to your statement about a “pure PvP can’t be successful and fun…” First off, GW2 isn’t a pure PvP game by any stretch of the imagination. And second off…League of Legends?
Seriously dude did you just compare Thug game to mmorpg… It’s like comparing Bf3 to bloody Eve…
Just curious, since you think GW2 has no real end game…

Hello there I will mostly give feedback on stuff that I dislike so in before you turn on your fanboy mode on read trough. I will accept every one else opinion on the game so I really hope you’re gonna be mature enough to stay away from trolling.
Alright…
End game~ There is simply lack of end game (yeah Anet thinks end game starts at level one this is false and reason behind all of this because questing is not that much different from other games .Difference between GW2 questing and other games is you get instant quest here once you enter specific area. And most of the time you’re forced to do every single quest to be able to progress further trough the game. Unless you want to craft which in my opinion is long and boring grind.
Guild wars 2 lacks proper Content at level 80: At current state of the game You got 4 options: Do PvP, Farm mats for Crafting, Do dungeons (Mostly CoF since it’s easy and yet long and boring grind and last Go AFK at Lion’s Arch which in my opinon is what most of the lvl 80 players do.
I had quite few conversations with different type of players and every one shares same opinions “No end game no pew pew”.
WvWpvp- It’s pretty much copy paste from Aion sieges… nothing new just boring and imbalanced groups.
Anet promised no Grind which was another misleading (crazy amounts of tokens requierment, boring quests (Decent story line) boring and long World dragon fights etc… If you don’t want players to grind lower amount of tokens needed for level 80 gear and increase difficulty of level 80 dunegons.
Poor impletation of Dungeon difficulty Low level dungeons are insanely hard (mob damage output is freaking ridicilous… also their HP scales way too much) While level 80 dungeons are faceroll Yes arrah too with decent group even oozes drop down in few seconds.
Combat is not melee friendly This is what every single melee is gonna agree on. Take Arrah for example or some of dragon fights. You get hit by spell damage for retardly high amount that I feel like my warrior is wearing cloth and not full heavy exotic body armor. At most of the fights I’m forced to pull out my gun and start shooting…
Class imbalance Warriors= way too high burst and hard to counter (My warrior can smash 25k+ crits. Yeah sure I’m a bit over geared but any decent warrior can faceroll around) Thiefs= HoS is way too op. Elementalist I won’t even mention anything further.
Crafting. Seriously what the hell did you think when you made crafting so complicated. Yeah sure, option to discover recipes on our own is fun and all that.. but at least make it easy to skill up (easy to learn hard to master- or something). I seriously went nuts when I spent time on skilling up cooking and armorsmithing to 400……
Overal I give GW2:
7.5/10
Obviously Anet wants to add more PvE content but that is gonna happen next expansion as we know gaming companies like to Milk down customers as much as they can with almost no effort put into game… But since then I bid you farewel also excuse my poor Grammar skills.

Hello fellow Guild Wars 2 players I just got to level 80 few mins ago it was quite fun journey and I enjoyed every bit of it. But now as freshly dinged level 80 as most of us I got quite crap items so I’m looking into way to upgrade my stuff.
If some one would be so kind to share some tips and ideas how to gear up it would be most welcome!
People keep talking about using Mystic Forge but since I’m total newb to that I seriously have no idea what to use and where to look up on some working recipes.
I’m level 80 warrior with 400 Armorsmithing and most of the stuff I can craft with Armorsmithing is quite bad. Is there some exotic karma vendor that sells exotic recipes for armorsmithing?
Anyway thanks guys!
