I somehow managed to place in the top 5 after my placement matches (won 9 lost 1). Not really sure how I feel about that because I know I’m not good enough to be here at all. Now I’m really hesitant to play more matches because I’m probably going to get beat down to low /mid plat (where I probably belong) and that just won’t be fun to lose so many matches in a row.
Honestly I’d have preferred to have started low so I could climb instead of starting off high and being expected to fall.
However I’m also considering just playing once every 3 days and see how high I can end at.

This is better than what it was but still not good enough. I hate that empty space to the right of the shared slots and wish I could just move the whole thing to the bottom of the the bags. I honestly am so surprised that they still haven’t gotten this Shared Inventory Slots thing right. Just let us move it like a normal bag slot, honestly what’s so hard about that?
@ Gaile Gray – However by that logic if lots of people are saying something on the forums or in game and we don’t see it in the patch notes is it reasonable to assume it’s not being listened to? Because that’s what it feels like much of the time. And since there’s no way to tell without dev comments what’s being payed attention to people tend to assume they’re not being listened to unless told otherwise, and then when patch notes hits and doesn’t list a change to what they were talking about it confirms they’re being ignored instead of perhaps something just not being ready to release yet.
Has anyone tried a Fang of Tequatl?
I had a chest like this too. Though it went away after I completed Tequatl and got all 4 chests from the event. I have no idea if it’ll work for anyone else but it worked for me.
This so much. It’s so annoying having to listen to everyones stupid mini make noise when you’re in a large group. I get why they’re not wanting to create a hide minis button since that’s part of the fun of having a mini is to show it off, but kitten do they having to be so dang annoying and loud?
Popping in here to say that this also happens with warrior Signets when switching utilities and another skill is on cooldown. It’s very annoying when I’ve got a banner on cooldown for over a minute and then my signet goes on cooldown for the same duration that the banner is on cooldown for.
I’m just popping in to say that I completely agree with the sentiment being displayed here. It’s very annoying to log out in the airship and when I log back on I have to sit through 2 loading screens (the ship, then gendarren fields), and then have to load back into the ship to do my stuff.
This is very inconvenient to have to do considering it’s a Gem Shop item costing 1000 gems. At the very least it would be great if just didn’t have to sit through another loading screen when getting kicked and then again when loading back into the airship.
This whole thing is the only reason I’d prefer the Royal Terrace pass over the airship one, at least when I get kicked from the Royal Terrace I don’t have to sit through more loading screens.
I’ve heard that to activate the Fractal Collection you need unlock a new fractal skin AFTER the update. I know that won’t help anyone who has all of them already but it’s something for the rest of us.
Thats not it, I had several drop since the update
Ahh that’s too bad, I just heard from people that’s how it’s done but since I don’t Fractal I couldn’t really verify it.

The guy in the thread I linked had them all when the update hit. So how did it work for him?
Well he was able to to view the collection by clicking on a skin in his invetory but was it actually unlocked? As in could he go through the Achievement panel and find it, did he get any rewards or AP for having it completed? Too bad the video doesn’t answer any of these questions.
It would be a really dumb idea for the collection to be an all or nothing one like that where it doesn’t unlock until you have ALL the weapon skins and then it’s completed.

Thanks for that info, Maddoctor.
Are you all aware that some of the collections are unlocked with a specific item?
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Basic_Collections
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Collections#Unlocking_Collections
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Talk:Collections#Not_all_collections_unlocked_after_update.3FDoes that information address what some are reporting as a bug? I want to know if things are not working as intended, or if some players don’t understand how things are intended to work.
Well Dulfy.net has those collections listed as "Currently bugged and cannot be activated. " so I would assume they know that you need an item to activate them.
I guess it’s possible there’s an item that’s working properly and is in the game to activate these collections, however I find that doubtful since these collections have been available for about 2 months that such items exist or are functioning properly, otherwise Dulfy.net would have found out by now and updated their guides.
According to Dulfy.net these are the collections that aren’t possible to activate: Brewmaster Collection, Fine Wining Collection, Hero of the People Collection
I’m going to have to second this. I can’t imagine running around in EotM with a couple of those things making noises.
On a similar note I’ve noticed that there are some Miniatures that are particularly noisy too, couldn’t tell you which ones though since it’s hard to figure out which one is being noisy. Whatever mini it is though that screams is probably the worst mini ever.
Perhaps we could have both of these things be muted in the same way we can mute Player Instruments?
Does anyone know if any of the regular dungeons have a decent amount of ambient creatures in them (story or explorable) If we could find another instance where people can farm then everyone can be happy.
Hey all.
…I think this is ok though – no longer can 1 build (the Ham/LB) bring great damage, amazing condie resilience, a lot of sustained power and CC in one package…
While I realize it can be frustrating to have your favorite specs toned down a little…
-Chap
Ok now I’m curious, you felt that these changes have toned down the Warrior Ham/LB build in PvP, specifically that it can’t do good damage and condie clear and sustained power and CC in one build anymore, but how did these changes affect these attributes?
Damage: Since the hambow build doesn’t bring berserker’s power the only change this would be that since we lose adrenaline on a miss that we’ll be using our burst skills with fewer bars than before resulting in slightly lower damage. However hambow doesn’t rely on bursts skills for the majority of its damage.
Condie clear: Longbow is completely unaffected as it triggers CI even if no one is around. Hammer has a decent sized AoE burst and while possible for it to miss and lose the adrenaline for its next shot it’s the 2nd least effected weapon we’ve got. (A note is that all other builds not using hammer/LB were effected much harder and thus less viable)
Sustained Power: If we read this to mean damage not revolving around burst stills then hambow is completely unaffected as they don’t use Berserker’s Power. And if we read it as overall damage there’s little change since longbow is unaffected and hammer is the 2nd least affected.
Crowd Control: Longbow is once again unaffected as its burst always procs (zone control) and Pin Down doesn’t care about adrenaline. Hammer has lots of CC out of its burst skill that are unaffected and while its burst skill can miss and lose all adrenaline that’s 7 seconds to build it all back up for full stun again. Either way the difference between 3 bars and 1 bar is 1 second of the stun. So a small nerf.
Conclusion: It would seem to me that Hambow is actually only affected slightly by these changes due to the AoE nature of their burst skills. However all other builds would be hit much harder by these changes since their burst skills are not AoE and therefore much more prone to missing and losing all adrenaline and perhaps lots of damage (rifle, axe).
From my perspective all you’ve done is a very minor nerf to hambow, and a great big nerf to everything else. If that’s what you guys wanted to do then congratulations you’ve made the hambow build even more popular and viable (by comparison) than before the patch. Though I get the feeling that wasn’t the intention….
Glad to know I’m not just crazy here and others are noticing something is off too.
Does anyone else feel like Rush has been acting a bit weird since the feature patch? I feel like there’s more of a delay when using Rush at point blank range before it hits. Like I spend just an extra 1/4 second running before attacking. Am I going crazy or are other people experiencing this too?
Still isn’t working for me either. I hope they fix this because it was convenient.
It’s a very annoying problem because I often have to swap out signet of fury for signet of might when i can’t crit and I always use a banner. Not to mention this bug has been going on for months, and I can’t remember which patch gave it to us.
Just frustrated of using the in game reporting tool and urging other warriors to do the same to no avail…
I’m not swapping skills that are on cooldown. The skill is completely unused before I try to swap it. But when I do swap an unused skill to a signet when a banner is on cooldown, the signet suddenly shares the cooldown with the banner that is on cooldown.
Also I can reproduce this bug with 100% accuracy anytime I want to.
As a warrior when you have a banner (not Battlestandard) on cooldown and you try to swap a different skill and put a utility signet in, the signet will take the same cooldown as the banner has left.
I use Banner of Discipline, while it’s still on cooldown I try to swap Signet of Might for Signet of Fury, now Signet of fury is on cooldown for the same amount of time the banner is on cooldown for, even if it’s longer than possible for the signet to have.
This has been a long standing bug with warriors and myself and other warriors have submitted bug reports recently and months ago. Perhaps posting this on the forum will have better success…

I can make about 18 gold in 80 minutes doing my daily mining run, more if I feel like doing it on more than 1 character.
seriously? kitten . all maps or just higher level (50+)?
I jump around to lots of maps, mainly aiming for iron and platinum (copper too, until it goes back down in price).
Yeah, i also mainly search for Iron in Dredghaunt Cliffs, and Platin in Timberline Falls.
And trying to find Ori / Ancient wood in Frostgorge, but that takes up much more time now since mega-serverFor the 18 gold in 80 minutes you must maybe farm Ori in Orr, but i hate that area and never was good at training through mobs so i already avoided that before mega-server.
No way I could get that much that fast if I payed any attention to orichalcum/ancient wood (unless someone had previously mapped it out for me). It’s all about hitting places where lots of nodes tend to spawn close together and aiming for iron, plat, gold and copper (until it’s worthless again).
One of the things to help keep things as fast as possible is to do it on a warrior running GS and sw/wh and keep swiftness up 100% of the time. I notice that when running on my guardian/engineer that even with perm swiftness they still end up doing the same run slower, or I just get less stuff because they take too long to get there and makes stuff like that one rich silver node at the edge of the minimap just not worth getting.

Just logged in to chime in here that the chests in dungeons have been nerfed, A friend and me run most dungeons every day and have found that we are getting much less greens than we used to and almost no rares (ran CoF1+2, CoE1+2+3 without a single rare, MF 192%) when before I’d usually average 1 rare per path.
I’ll add one to this list.
If you swap in a Utility Signet (not healing/rage) while a banner (and sometimes frenzy) is on cooldown, the signet will be set as used and have the same remaining cooldown as the banner that’s on cooldown.
Simply put, the +15% karma boost from from Karmic Infusion isn’t working. Did the boar event in queensdale, 202 karma with it equipped, 202 karma without it equipped. Can’t really test if the account bound karma boost is working since it seems everyone else was below level 80, though I suspect it’s not working since the event has always said 202 karma. Also haven’t tested banners/bonefires/food yet, so don’t know if those are working.
Oh and I know that what it lists in the upper right event completed thing isn’t what you get, it’s what’s listed just above the minimap that counts.
I hope you guys manage to look at all the runes that give a bonus to bleed duration, I haven’t checked them in many months, but I also haven’t read anything in the patch notes about them being fixed.
I know there’s a bunch of you up in arms about this change and that’s unfortunate, however ever since Flawless Widescreen stopped working I had to abandon my Eyefinity setup because the UI was on the far screens which made viewing them annoying. I much prefer everything on the center screen so I can see all I need to see. If you think about it, it’s just like playing with one screen like normal (if you were to just run 1 screen) and the other 2 monitors are for far left/right vision.
Perhaps they could release an option for people who prefer it the broken way like they did with the FoV changes?
I get the same thing when I’m trying to log in also. I first received the crash when I went to an event in the Cursed Shore, on of the defend this place from spiders event near the penitent path.
Ok, I restarted my computer and I no longer get that error, however upon logging in as my warrior, I went to run to the Penitent Waypoint, switched over to my greatsword and the game crashed (no error log). and I can’t seem to get back into my warrior again…
(edited by direx.8207)
nvm restarted the game and it seems to have fixed itself…. odd
I just today upgraded my graphics card from a radeon 6850 to a radeon 7950 and I noticed that when I set the frame rate cap to 60 fps that now it’ll only go up to 50 fps where before it would go up to 60. If I change it to 30 fps both cards sit there at 30 and if I select unlimited well then things go way up.
Is there some way I can get it back to 60 fps instead of 50 fps?
First, I’m a level 80 warrior.
Secondly, gear, runes and sigils that are intended to give a + to condition duration are not showing that they do in the skills tooltip.
I had equipped (for this testing purposes only) a standard rifle and blank gear with no traits, and my bleeds said they were at 6s (base duration). So I put on a minor sigil of agony, 2 minor runes of centaur, krait and lyssa into my armor (+15% bleed, +5% con duration) and looked again, still 6s (should have been 7.2s)
So I go out and do some testing and shoot some stuff with no condition/bleed duration bonuses on. When I check the duration on the bleeds it actually applies to enemies, it comes up as 5s remaining (what it should be since the timer rounds down). So I put on all my bleed/con duration gear and shoot another monster and now the duration of the bleeds appears to be just above 7s (it stays only 7 for a brief moment before saying 6s)
I tested the same stuff again but with adding in +30% con duration from the strength trait line and then the +50% bleed duration from the Deep Cuts trait. These were both reflected in the tooltip but the runes/sigils were not (though they still worked).
So this stuff is working as intended as far as I can tell, it just isn’t reflected in the tooltips for skills. This is highly misleading for many people especially since there is a type of weapon with +10% condition duration built into it. I almost ended up putting all new runes into my burning set (2 superior rune balthazar, Flame legion, baelfire, Givers smoldering weapon) to focus on just more con damage because of what I thought were broken bonuses.
Dang, I was looking forward to a match similar to last weeks… Well guess that’s just how it’s going to play out…
Time to work on my map completion.
Where is Kileens grave?
Found Dougal he said Gullik sometimes comes through lions arch, anyone know where?
I’m just wondering where the surviving trio from the novel Ghosts of Ascalon are hiding in game. I found Ember Doomforge at Summit Peak in the Feilds of Ruin but I can’t seem to find Gullik or Dougal anywhere. I’d appreciate if someone could point out where they are in game.
