I feel really let down with the daily account limit on SAB chest and dig spot bauble rewards. What a slap in the face! People grinding this would have had no impact on the economy, since you removed obsidian shards from the rewards at Motto. On the other hand, we just finished a month long zerg loot fest that ran without any cool downs whatsoever…
For the first time since I began playing, I am strongly considering the merits of continuing to play this game. Looks like a mix of time gating + rampant zerg loot farming is all that is awaiting us.

What strikes is how simplistic their system is. They could add a simple refinement and alleviate pretty much all those problems. How?
Add loot_counters for [ creature categories / specific creatures /whatever ] that are spawning during events.
for example, during a kill aetherblade captain event, put the champions loot_ counter to 3. What does this do? The first 3 champions killed during this event will give the champion loot box. The following champions killed : drop nothing or very basic loot.
This way, events are gonna get done because a fair number of champions will give loot, but they are not going to be stalled, because they wont drop loot forever.
I just wonder/hope that they have something similar in development…
Boring villain. I immediately though of the Joker, and that is not a good thing. I am kind of sick and tired already of seeing him all the time in the Batman games, did not need to see the same basic villain yet again.
How are you able to do this in overflow? Every time we entered an invasion zone in overflow we get the message that we can’t do the invasion there.
That’s a bit of an issue with all the servers and crap. The only thing I’ve found for that is you either keep in your overflow till the event is over, if it is taking place, or you go back to a town and do something else till the next one starts. Its an issue that has yet to be dealt with unfortunately :<
Might be a good idea to add this info about overflows. It should also be noted that if you are in an overflow and toward the end you suddenly see that message permitting you to travel to the main instance, DONT! This means the main instance just finished the event and you will lose out on the final reward if you travel.
This is what happens when Anet has the brilliant idea of putting PvP content in PVE area. The die hard PvP players behave as usual and kitten off some PVE people that want to win a single time to complete an achievement.
Listen, you obviously lack empathy enough so that you are content to win race after race and knowingly annoy a portion of players that want to grab this time limited achievement. Well, if you are insensible enough to not care about the others, then I suggest you grow some and become insensible enough to not care about their recriminations. Grow up.
Woaw, lots of stuff in there! I was about to suggest you get rid of some tools but then actually read your post. I only have 2 bank tabs and 1 guild bank tab, and they are of course full. But I do get rid of lots of 1 time consumables that I know I will never use because I would always be waiting for the best best moment to use them (Merchant Express, etc). I get one of those? I destroy it right away.
If you are gonna restrict what profession you play based on cosmetic reasons (dont want a guardian because the 1h sword is weak), might as well play a different game.
You got to identify what profession offers the skillsets/abilities that you enjoy the most, and then make the most out of the resulting cosmetic aspect.
I leveled all 8 professions to 80 before finally identifying my preferred ones, and my best loved char is my engineer, which has kitten poor cosmetic customization control, what with the hobo sack and toolkits overriding weapons look. But it is still the one I prefer to play, so I make do with what I have.
You say you identified two possibilities, ele and thief. Why not level them both to 80 then, and see for yourself.
All I can say is those are 2 professions I do not like all that much. I dont like the ele being stuck with basically 1 weapon range at a time (no weapon swap). And I dont like much all this stealthing gimmicky play of the thief, so I made mine in a glass cannon dual pistol that I use from time time to time in open world events.
1. Extremely biased stats system and combat mechanics that encourages glass cannon builds.
2. Too much temporary content lately
3. Too much RNG in acquiring skins via a lottery system in the store

I wanted to keep a good part of the organic sylvari look but with high tech pieces. I would have preferred to keep the T1 cultural sylvari coat, but alas, the gloves dont show at all when it is worn.
