The first ‘feature build’ as we’re calling it, won’t go live until the current Living World story arc wraps up.
…..
I’m sure many of you would agree that some of the changes needed additional eyes on them before they hit live. We want the time to go through the feedback and make adjustments, and we’re already doing that.

I’m sorry if we gave you the impression that there would be a balance update today – that was not our intent.

A bummer but the right move. Hopefully the most requested changes will be in the feature update.

It’s not easy to release new content every 2 weeks – they take the time to process the feedback we gave em so let’s wait and see what happens. ..but consider – next time there won’t be any excuses left, as the results will speak for themselves.

Srsly u revived a thread that was 3 months old….

and why the hell are most ppl here so fixated on a native client anyway. What do u expect an increase of 20-30 frames? How about a new mac? Don’t have the money – don’t buy a mac in the first place?

Well ok that’s not the best argument but even if ANet intended to build a native version in early dev-stages (which probably was not the case) – it still is a bunch of work to really go for it.

I played on a MBA 2012 and now 2013 and the game runs… not the ultimate experience but I’m able to enjoy the game. The wrapper around the client is pretty decent. Sure a native client is nice to have but 90% of the client disfunction is caused by the user itself. I never had a problem and I’m playing since beta (well except the paypal issue and the bird)

I’ve to admit that the requirements are not right – an HD3000? Not for this game. Start with at least the 2012 model or the MBP 2011 15" (not 13").

Forget the idea of a native client – maybe someday who knows – but with a 2 week schedule for new content – no way.

… I suggested the addition of player housing in the guild hall. …

Well that is quite different from my general idea but I like it. After all the game is called GuildWars more depth to the Guild aspect would be really nice.

I do not like this idea because I think it’d take time away from designing instanced housing for everyone or guild housing.

Well a Guild should still have an instance that would be quite difficult.

Catering to people with gold/gems seems iffy to me.

I’m a casual player and do 25 gold a week about 10 hours of gameplay at lvl 80 of course. That as a fee for a monthly rent is not to much and not really an advantage to wealthy people.

And the question here is who would ever see your house? Like in RL your apartment is a reflection of your personality if this would be able in the game too that’ll be nice. An instance is quite useless. Well except for Guilds.

FIrst of all love game just found the sewers in LA great Job

Anyway I read that at some point there’ll be housing in the game (instance style).

Well that’s nice but much cooler would be if it is possible to rent small places in Divinity’s Reach, LA … and so on. You guys put so much effort designing those places and well most of em are just empty.

The Idea is to rent places monthly for a quite high amount of gems. Of course some personal stuff might be added to the place but if anyone is not able to pay the rent the room is available to others again and his personal stuff goes into some kind of storage. That way u guys might make some money from people who really “pay” a small amount to keep their place and this makes the place more lively. It’s not a new concept UO did this back in the day but it was awesome. Of course this is limited to the server your on. Transfer to a different server u have to find a new place if it’s already taken.

I’m not quite sure how many people are there on a server but there are a lot of houses already there and not everybody wants to live in a city. Not to forget the gem-rent will give some fluctuation

Edit: Different approach but interesting Posts by Hawk.3574 and Kraag Deadsoul.2789.

Personal story rest

Hey folks,

I’d really like to play all the different stories (Durmand, Vigil, Order), with my main character. It’ll be really nice if there would some kind of reset future to the point of the story where we were supposed to choose. Why?

Well it’s simple: As a casual player I don’t spend so much time in the game, but I’m satisfied with my achievements so far. I’d love to experience the different story lines though cause I had a lot of fun with the one I’ve chosen. Nevertheless a lot of my stuff is Soul-bind so starting over with a new character is quite a pain in the kitten and I just don’t have so much time to spend.

If some kind of reset, rollover I don’t know, just an option to choose the story I’d like to play (again) with my main character would be nice.

(if this was suggested already sry in advance – didn’t find anything like it)
