I would vote for implementing a slider for this in the settings. This way it would be customizable. So basically the slider would alter where the attach point is.
The slider should be character based as different characters might need different slider settings.

I dont think that choosing between clipping and floating would be the right way to address this issue.

Hi all,

Im one of those guys who HATES these sounds (Dreamer, mini super banana) really, REALLY annoying. Whenever somebody joins my party/squad with such annoying things, I give them 10 seconds to change them, or I kick them. If I cant kick them, then I leave. I have never understood, why such annoying things exist in the game without being able to mute them. In openworld Im forced to turn off the game sounds completely, otherwise I go crazy.

In my opinion there should be two options related to this in sound settings:

  • A volume slider where you can adjust the volume level of legendaries and/or minipets
  • A checkbox something like: "I want to hear other player’s legendary weapon / minipet sound effects

With these two settings, the problem is solved.

Bytheway, its not just those 2 legendaries, which are really annoying. As mentioned some, minipets are even more annoying, some examples:
-Super Mini Banana and other SAB related minipets
-Mini Toxic Híbrid (I think, this is the one)

  • Opening bank, either via the normal bank NPC or via permanent bank contract positions the bank window to the default position which is the middle of the screen instead of remembering where it was on the screen previously. Im tired of moving it to the right side (left side is my inventory) of the screen. Make it remember for its position!!!
  • Harvesting in general is frustrating. A normal ore can be harvested 3-6 times. If the node has 3 uses, then you have to press the interact button, then just wait, and thats all. But if the node has more uses, like 4, then you have to press interact again to harvest the 4th resource. Why not harvesting with 1 button till the node goes empty??? Additionally, even if the node goes empty after the 4th chop, the harvesting animation continues till all the 3 chop long animation ends. Sometimes its hard, or not even possible to interrupt it for some reason. Suggestion: Make the animation of the chops identical, so not 2 fast chops and a slow chop, but 3 identical chops. Harvesting should start with 1 button and should end when the node goes empty.
  • Allow change skills (6-10) without having to wait for cooldowns when we are out of combat. Its annoying to ask the team to wait 30 secs, just because I need a skill for the upcoming encounter, but the skill I used in that slot in the earlier encounter is still on CD. Example: Skill in slot7 still has 40 sec CD, but the game would allow it to change it to a different skill. The new skill wouldnt be usable immediately, it would be on the same CD as the skill previously in that slot, so on 40sec. This way you dont haeve to wait first 40sec, then change the skill, but you can immediately change it and go fight. The new skill would be become usable after that 40secs.
  • Its hard to track boon effect icons as they come and go quickly and we never know where to look on the screen exactly because all effect icons are aligning to the left, making all of them changing positions continuously. If there is a hard fight, I cant check quickly enough whether I have stability for example. Suggestion: Make the position of specific icons (like stability boon) customizable. I know its not gonna happen but it would be nice.

QoL suggestions:

  • Add sound effects to TP transactions: Items sold? Beep. Items bought? Beep.
    Separate optins for buying and selling and also a separate volume slider. A ‘cooldown’ for the beep as well, in case of mass selling/buying.
  • Bank window position on screen should be saved. Now its always opening in the middle.

Mushroom is blocking at Vale Guardian

At vale guardian the mushrooms are blocking projectile attacks. This is very annoying, as most groups are tanking the boss at the mushroom so we lose a lot of DPS by not being able to hit him with projectiles.

Thanks for the tips. I like the idea of the chryso orb, its indeed better as it gives 48 stat points, instead of just 28.
Im fully aware of the downsides of not really having power. It always causes some funny moments for example on the seal fractal map on the top floor whem Im caged….
Im not doing WvW, at least not with this char. Neither PvP.

I started with Scepter+Pistol as a 2nd set, but I didnt like it
There was no reason to swap to it, as it doesnt really have AOE, and it does less dmg. The pistol phantasm is ok, but for me its not enough alone to swap to scepter+pistol. This might change, when DD trait will be fixed.

I run almost the same build as posted by AlphatheWhite. (Only 1-2 minor changes)
I use 5 nightmare runes to have the +175 condi dmg and the 15% condi duration. (6th rune can be anything with condi dmg. Antitoxin is the best as it gives 28 condi dmg instead of the usual 25.)
I use dual staff but the 2nd staff is only for corruption and swiftness stacking.
To keep 3 clones up all the time, I use mirror images.

Dont tell me I should learn selective hearing. I have to use that at my workplace constantly. After work when I play, I want to relax instead of listening to the idiotic mini banana which is playing 4-5 times in every f.ing minute.

The problem is the frequency of these sounds and the problem could be eliminated easily with a volume slider which is dedicated to mini pets.

Somewehere I saw that anet didnt want to make its duration unlimited, because that kind of stuff (necro minions) is already in the game

It would be awesome to have unlimited spirit weapon durations and I dont care if they become similar to the necro minions.

Thanks for the detailed build and usage, I appreciate it.

I had almost the very same build, but not with earth sigil for example. I used full sinister gear, but as I can see, condi dmg is higher with rabid, thanks to the nourishment.
The main difference was that I didnt pay enough attention to my skill rotation and that was the key for me for such good bleed dmg. Thanks for pointing out how important the skill rotation is

I was doing some maths, because I still dont get how you did 11k bleed dmg.
Assuming for example 3314 condi dmg (25 might, 25 corruption stack, food, nourishment, FULL sinister gear, bursting sigil) 1 stack bleed does 221 dmg. Counting the 25 vulne stacks, it will be 221 × 1,25 = 276 dmg for 1 stack bleeding. So to do 11k bleed dmg with this condi dmg, you will need 11000 / 276 = ~40 bleed stacks.
The best I can do is around 25 stacks which matches my previously mentioned peak 7k bleed dmg.
I noticed you are using the charr racial skill (Shrapnel Mine) as well, which can do ideally 4 bleed stacks. Counting that skill as well I can imagine maximum 32 bleed stacks but definitely not 40.
In theory, its possible, to copy bleed stacks from a nearby mob onto the boss, but you dont have epidemic, and there are no mobs on the screen, and in the combat log.

Arcades, can you please post your build as well? Including the gear, runes, sigils, weapons, foods, everything?
I went to the same champion on sw to test how much bleed dmg I can do.
For 1 tick I reached 7k and at that time I had 25 might, 25 corruption stack, the champ had 25 vulne, I had food and nourishment. Basically I maxed out my condi dmg, however I have only 80% bleed duration. Im really curious, where does your +4k bleed dmg come from on top of my 7k. Probably Im missing something. My guess is that I dont apply enough bleed stacks and thats because of the skill rotation.

If necros had the ability to apply 5-10 bleeds as a start, for example similarly to how opening strike works for rangers, that would lower the painfully slow ramp up time. This starting bleed should be applied to all targets (only once) which are hit for example by the autoattack. An other idea is to apply more bleed stacks but with lower duration.

Well… you have 25 corruption stacks, 22 might, 25 vulne stacks on the target and you have foods as well. The mob lives long enough to ramp up the bleed to do 11k dmg. In such perfect scenario the 11k bleed dmg is not a big surprise. I thought Im missing something and thats why I have only 5k bleed dmg. I was just counting it under normal circumstances.

OP: Tell me please how you get 8k+ bleeds. I have over 2k condi dmg without corruption stacks and without might, but even with these I cant get bleed dmg over 6k. Sometimes I do, but only for 1-2 ticks, then it drops back to 4-5k.

Actually I would like these sounds, if they were played for example once in every 5 mins. Even with this setting we would still hear them quite frequently because many players have these annoying minipets but it would be much more tolerable.
But really, the best would be to be able to alter its sound volume, including the possibility to mute them completely.

Dear Anet,

The sound effects of minipets can be REALLY annoying. For example the mini super banana is playing its sound VERY, VERY frequently, like in every 15 seconds. And this is just 1 single banana minipet and many players have it.

Please, PLEASE implement the ability in settings/sound to change the sound of mini pets, like you did with the sounds of player instruments.

I have to mute the entire sound of the game due to this as it is driving me crazy… and to be honest, not just me.

Is there any kind of workaround for this?
