The forum community is mostly made of a bunch of people who can only complain and whine , in every game ever.
The in game community of GW2 is actually one of the best around.
And no one’s gonna ever bring it down…
Just had to log in and say this is the best thread I’ve read in these forums :P
Think of it as a Heisenberg principle- Until you arrive at the map- you don’t yet know if the cat is dead or not.- you could of cause wait a bit and see if it smells worse but that is not the point.
That would be “Schroedinger’s Cat”. Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle is something else…that I only know about from Star Trek :P
These are not your characters.
This is not your game.
All of it belongs to ANet, they’ve said so multiple times.
They can do anything they want.
So they’ve stripped your characters of any sign of personality.
Fits the game.

Great, they’ve finally implemented what a lot of people have been pining after for ages, yet they’ve also cynically monetised it.
Came to the same conclusion. Unless Transmutation Stones and Crystals start dropping like rain from monsters, I don’t see this new feature changing much.
Bay would write a much better story, he’s not a bad writer but his detail lacks and he loves explosions too much, kinda like how Anet loves shoving Scarlet in our face and letting us smell what they consider right.
Hey man, nice shot.
This boss is open world content, in a game that promotes and encourages spontaneous participation. You cannot expect everyone to know scripts, to know where to be and not be, and you cannot expect universal voice communication. You CAN expect the clueless. You cannot expect raid type coordination. This is Casual content.
You cannot even remotely compare this with raiding, no matter how much the psuedo raiders would like to do so.
In Game hints. “protect the golems!” “watch the ledges”. Perhaps a conversation with a Vigil Tactician. Anything to help prepare the player who doesn’t live on forums, reddit, dulfy and any other venue and just logs in to play a game.
Logged in the forums just to quote this text and completely agree with it.
Had to jump in here…
From my experience in the Queensdale champ trains, it seems like some players do kill champs “out of order” not due to personal play choice but simply to annoy the other players. When people object, the player’s response could be described as “entitled trolling”. As has been noted in this thread, a player wishing to kill a certain champ can just join the train briefly until their “stop” and then go on their way.
I don’t think Queensdale is the only map in all of GW2 that has champion-level monsters to challenge solo players who choose to fight them.
tl;dr There’s griefing on both sides of this issue so maybe it balances out and we can get back to enjoying our time in Tyria.
PvE
1) PvE armor/weapon skins lockers or bank storage sections
2) Things learned from the Tequatl boss changes, focusing mainly on what shouldn’t be repeated
3) Additional storage and/or methods to deal with large amounts of dragonite ore and bloodstone dust besides making them rarer drops
Um, you spelled “Excelsior” wrong….
Heh.
Yeah, that’s the problem. Didn’t know it saved those settings :P
Alrighty, slinking off in shame now…
I’ve noticed that when relogging with a different character (using F12 and choosing Character Select) then accessing the crafting interface at either a crafting station or through the Hero interface, all the recipes are missing. The progress bar is still as before though there is no list of items to craft.
It reverts to normal after a complete restart of the game. Also I note that I am experiencing the Gw2.exe process remaining active after choosing “Exit to Desktop” in the Esc menu. Might be related, I do not know.
