New feature: once all fractal weapons and tonic is unlocked, you receive an account buff that no longer lets you enter fractals. This is to promote a less toxic environment and to prevent elitists from screwing up fractals

Hahaha that made me giggle, but then again the statistic for people having those items is guaranteed to be 0.. If a player has those said items they now convert the fractal tonic in the toilet to receive the Rngesus tonic. Skill 1 of tonic: ‘Confusion Cleanse’ Steal all skills (minus the auto attack) of anyone under level 80 to allow them to think clearly in Guild Wars 2.

‘If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it’ I believe the term typically goes. In this case it’s ‘If we believe its broken, break it more’.

+1 To this. I’d also like to add that despite several stealth changes to fractals such as enemy damage and missing chests, THE REWARD IS STILL A JOKE. Its the same laziness that occurred with the Cliffside ‘fixes’.

After all these jokes in the feature patch why couldn’t they consider to add something worthy; a vendor eliminating this rng. Dungeon and fractal runners will love you forever.

Like OrcishFury mentioned, that sounds like the ‘free camera’ setting. You can remove it by unchecking the box on the first tab of options half way down the page.

Favourite: If fractals count, then its definitely Grawl. The end fight with Imbued shaman is one of the best in the game in my opinion. Second to that, the path that was removed, TA fw/up.

Least Favourite: Aetherpath! Do I need to elaborate on why I don’t like it? :P

I went through TA story last week too, my god does that look beautiful in ultra graphic settings. Don’t really do much arah unless its with a solid group since i’ve grown bored of dungeons but I like the Balthazar fight in Arah p4 as a melee without a typical fgs nuke.

Honorable mention has to be CoE, looks epic. I love the sci fi feel to it.

So tonight I entered for a level 50 fractal with some decent pugs. We had a nice group and the first two fractals went fine. The third fractal was Cliffside, which recently bugs out when you fall with the hammer rendering it impossible to complete. I assume this fractal breaking bug was introduced when the developers decided to fart around with removing the double seal hit, and hitting seals from the side… (What was the point of that minor fix anyway?)

After rerolling and re-completing the next three fractals, we roll Mai Trin. All was going well, at around 80% health we all lag out a little bit. I mentioned it in chat and everyone else stated the same. We continued to the next phase after 50% health and I begin to see everyone running into walls and off the cliff. I mention lag again in the chat, and then I get disconnected. I log back in from character select screen and the whole party have had a 5 man disconnect! The disconnect was at 1:45 AM GMT time. I was not the party opener so there was no worry about the dungeon owner issues.

So all in all, 2 hours wasted in fractals. I’m kidding myself to say they wouldn’t be wasted even if we completed it anyway :P The joys of another Magi ring and 1.4g for the highest content in the game is so worthy of my time.

One of our party members joked that a fractal tonic was going to drop so we got disconnected intentionally which kinda made me laugh, and disappointed at the same time. I will include that in the bug report too that the fractal tonic doesn’t exist considering it has 0% chance to drop.

362 Pristine fractal relics and 21,000 normal relics not counting the amount i’ve broken and spent for obsidian shards. Let me spend these on a tonic, fractal skins and ascended gear already!!! Rng sucks and anyone who has ever done fractals will agree. I remember after fractured someone data mined the fractal weapon chest. Considering there are new Npc’s and vendors created every patch, why can’t a few fractal rewards be added to the merchants in the Mistlock.

Fractals are the only PVE content I still thoroughly enjoy, yet their rewards are an absolute joke day in day out. I know most of this post changed direction but i’m another one to add to the list for being unhappy with fractals.

TLDR: Fractals bugged twice in a row + Fractal rewards are (in a sense) bugged

I have 4 other sets for my engi but that trench coat is the only reasonable looking one for black dynamite lookalike In fact…. I wish arena net would stop giving us trench coats! its all we have for kitten medium professions. Also would have used different colours but red silver and gold work best with the aetherized rifle

Party chat is not wiped when leaving instance / changing maps.
Debug messages for party join/leave (or even vote kick) in chat log?
If not, allow a ‘recent group members’ tab in lfg tool that lists the players we were recently in contact with.

I agree with these 100% since I can imagine there will be a few people dumb enough to try hijack dungeon/fractal seller parties to freeload or resell the path.

You are posting on the forums, which is a clear indication that you are not banned. None of the people in this party chat are banned. So while the “Legit” is being put into say (according to this screenshot), no action was taken against anyone here.

I know you wanted to post a screenshot of an account being banned, but you are posting a screenshot from the launcher back in 2012. We are on build 38057 not 15377.

My guess is that the GM was putting into question the validity of the tactic being used, but did not action as there was nothing against the rules.

Finally leveled my engineer after 2 years of gw2! Sucks making alts after the trait changes, but here’s a roaming video of a build I decided to try out. I can edit it into a build editor if anyone would like it.

Bump. I never want to see this thread die until fractals are actually addressed and the bunk rewards are changed for the better.

Just had the instance owner rage quit Mai Trin after about 20 attempts. The real problem is people not even understanding that THEY HAVE TO BLOCK OR REFLECT THE PISTOL SHOT. 20 times over and people still do not get the mechanics, says a lot about the player bases skill after the game has been out 2 years.

Guardian – Mace block, Focus block, f3, Retreat, wall of reflection, sanctuary, shield of avenger, sword reflect, renewed focus, f3 again! Plenty of access to blocks.

Mesmer- Feedback, iwarden, temporal curtain, distortion, evades, blocks. plenty of access.

Ele-Obsidian flesh, reflects, arcane shield, mist form, enough blocks to be self sufficient.

Thief-Dagger storm, Smoke screen, plenty of evades, stealth. I’m sure thief is painful with a bad group but nonetheless, utility is available to make it work.

Warrior- More blocks than you could ever ask for, mace block, shield block, sword block, endure pain, defiant stance.

This isn’t even counting the option to retrait whenever you please. I bet people who failed repeatedly didn’t even think, hey, I should have a look at my traits and see what helps.
Don’t know much about engi, and I don’t think I have to go into ranger or necro for higher tier fractals since they aren’t as group oriented as the others.

There has been so much fuss over the new and ’’improved’’ Mai Trin, how about a-net makes the rewards actually worth our time. Before long this content will never be played because they see how pointless it is to complete.

Edit: I forgot to add that people should probably move when they facetank 10 or more stacks of bleed ^^

I had a sigil of generosity sat in my longbow and needed to replace it, so I thought rather than replacing such an expensive sigil completely, ill fork out 31 gold to convert to gems and get the upgrade extractor. My intention was to sell the rune on the trading post and cut my losses, but nope! For some idiotic reason they have it covered that you won’t be trading the upgrades after they have been implemented to your armor or weapons.

Rngesus has weird ways of doing things. Did a 50 yesterday, me and 1 other in the party got lunaria the celesial ring. Half an hour later completing a 40, me and the same person got Solaria, the other celestial ring.

Fractal rewards are still borked. After every single fractal I ask myself why I still do this content. Got over 400 pristine fractal relics not counting the ones I double clicked.. Maybe ONE DAY they will introduce something other than rings that you can trade them for.

Haha, I guess it depends on ones concept of fun. If you consider sitting behind a clown car that the enemy can shoot through for 15 minutes while they spawn invulnerable as fun then fractals is your place to be! The only ’’exploits’’ we ever really took advantage of was the quick mesmer skip in harpy. It stopped your party from mindlessly attacking invulnerable mobs for an extra 5 minutes. Maybe if it was fun interactive content then we wouldn’t skip it!

Back to the point anyway, where it my fractal weapon chest >:P Anyone else experienced normal weapon drops in 30+ or is it a bug..

There could have been a multitude of options regarding fractal items though, once you have your suitable rings what do we do with pristine relics.. I have gathered over 100 of them and they still sit in my bank, waiting for a chance to be spent! It could have been a great idea to eliminate the rng by allowing fractal skins to be purchased with these. I would say 50 relics or something is fair so they still retain their rarity.

As a whole though, this fractured update was a disappointment to me. Game breaking bugs, money grabbing gem store armors, 3 of my characters efforts in fractals getting wiped, and finally the ’’update’’ only took notice of the newly implemented fractals. All the older fractals are still as bad, if not worse now the things they consider as exploits were removed.

So my friend recieved a fractal weapon box on level 31 today… Does that mean original skins and the weapon boxes will drop. This RNG system is still a joke, its getting out of hand. Why put rng on every single aspect of this game. Over 900 fractals completed and still no axe skin! For the past 2 months I have done two 38 dailies, and two 48 dailies. What are the chances of not getting what you want eh?

Completed a fractal about an hour ago and received a fractal warhorn rather than weapon chest. Is there a level the chests begin to drop or is this a bug. Thanks

Sooo I completed a 33 fractal today and received a fractal war horn, my fourth too.. Is there a specific level you have to do to have a chance at the weapon container. I’m pretty disappointed considering the fact that I have done over 900+ fractals and still never received an axe!!

Thanks a bunch, I sent a report ticket in and explained the date and time I salvaged it, later receiving an in game mail with a fresh Energizer! Hopefully this new bag rarity will stop me from reenacting such a mistake :P I’m very surprised yet glad that arena net acknowledged it.

Hi folks. Today at approximately 17:10 UK time, I was clearing my characters bags from a previous fractal run, accidentally salvaging the moot precursor, the energizer. I only acquired it a couple of nights ago but have been working towards the new legendary, buying recipes such as gift of entertainment and working towards map completion. I am very doubtful that anything will be done about this, but I suppose making this thread is a last hope as I really don’t feel like playing or progressing any more in this game if the error cannot be reversed.

Just as a note too, I really do believe that the icons need to be altered for precursors and several other items in game. The energizer icon is the same as a basic white rarity weapon! Its ludicrous. I certainly wouldn’t have salvaged it if the icon was unique but the deed is done. I have also had similar problems with Norn cultural armor, sharing the same icons as the items that come in dozens waiting to be salvaged.

Please, even if you cannot restore or reverse my idiotic actions, take some of the points I mention into consideration to stop others from making similar mistakes.

Not an exploit? If you really werent exploiting, you would destroy all 6 walls and the event would last about 2 minutes.

You should really get more informations on what an exploit is :

Ok yeah this has been posted a few time allready.

Why there are no official statement on this?? They banned player who bought the ‘21’ karma sword on release but for this exploit, they did nothing at all.

I dont know if i am the only one seeing all the harm it does to the game economy but enough is enough. I farmed all the day for material, i usually sell t5 materials for 1.3 to 2 silver but tonight its at 0.8 silver for every t5 materials.

Seeing all those people clicking on the first skill with a staff for hours is making me sick.

Please hotfix this arenanet .
