It would have to be Guardian. Warriors have more health, but if you took the time and gave it a thought you’d realize why. It’s because a Guardian can potential fill their life twice easily. It’s what I do.

Guardians might start out with 15k, but when you can fill that twice (and probably then some) that becomes 45k. Where as the Warrior might have 20k or if hes totally topped up 36k (max buff/wvw) and you can fill it just a tad bit when you go to heal. Really as a Guardian you should shoot for 20k minimum life.

Not to mention the Guardian is constantly regenerating.

Now sit down and ask yourself why everyone is basing best off of life and survival. It’s because every kitten mob at level 80 hits to hard and has to many instant kills. So ever think maybe the game is just a bit unbalanced in some areas?

I say no its not that hard, i can easly survive as necromancer 26k health no unbalance i think its even to easy sometimes and i see warriors many times die while i have to revive them im doing most of time the kiting the boss becouse warrior dies alot when tanking.

Love my necromancer and my pets, survival is rather great with necromancer also:)

In a way your right with your reply but i think what OP means(maybe im wrong?) is they only doing fractals, result world is empty and you eather follow the TREADMILL FARM train or left behind playing in a empty pve world.

GW2 is maybe less instance then GW1 or WoW but playerbase 90% still occupied inside of those instance and only care what they can get there as reward.

GW2 these days open world almost empty, instance full, for the well know farmbug and treadmill desease:P

These days most waypoints temple bosses contested and boss never challenged.

They dont care about temple sets, they are doing dungeons lol.

The problem is when you collect dungeon tokens you dont want the temple sets anymore result nobody doing them these days.

I did the temple bosses but that where the early days many where still in open world pve and doing everything with large groups that time is long gone.

Oh and pls i realy dont want GW1 its INSTANCE INSTANCE INSTANCE i hate that.

The reason why GW2 is failing becouse of people still playing instance same as all the ex wow players and GW1 players.
GW2 suppose to be different then both GW1/WOW.
If you think GW1 was so good why you guys still dont play it then?

GW2 as i thought it would be when bought the game in may a open world with dynamic events and no need for LFG/LFM in chat and no need to worry about treadmill or endless BORING farming.

GW2 started worng with CHEATING goldsellers and constant dungeon runs.

Result empty pve world majority farm dungeon and nobody cares anymore for events or killing a boss.
treadmill farm and cheaters plus mentality that i thought i would not find in GW2 im very very dissapointed in GW2 and devs:(

I keep playing solo(empty world) from time to time maybe or hopefully someone join up in my adventures in tyria but it looks GRIM:(

Gameworld is so nice and good looking why on earth you guys constantly farm boring instance is beyond me.

DEVS should give better drops and rewards in open world or your game dies slowly and painfull death.

Alot is solo so i dont understand the whining and some part is not solo for obvious reasons.

Game failed becouse for most events there are just no players world is empty even primetime weekends:(

But also player base is terible not only many are cheating also doing instance only for farming and with WvWvW plus sPvP PvE world dont have enough players to do most events let alone doing the temple bosses in high lvl70-80 areas.

I refuse to farm instance for better gear or just mats im not playing game if its like work. No fun in constantly doing a instance so i get tokens no way.

Im also very dissapointed with community who for most part dont help or let you die they go straight for farming mats like mines or there skill point realy sad how game has developed:(

If im playing and someone follow me and start doing same mobs or events i dont mind thats beauty of Guild Wars 2.
You dont have to party just stick with someone and maybe its a blast partying together if not seek someone else:)
Im sure you eventually find someone to explore and doing events or farm mobs then have great time:D

Im not playing Guild Wars 2 for gear grinding tier1 tier2 tier3 tier4 ext.

But i must first see if its realy gamebreaking so ill see what the future have in store for us?

First rush to 80 ans skip most content well what can i say. econdly you can easyly go back to lower areas and have as much fun as in ORR even when your lvl80.

Constant dungeon runs is own fault game is so much more.

If most of you open up your minds and realy explore what GW2 has to offer you would not have made this topic its realy SAD most of you always limited your own experience and blame it on developers and game.

PVE in this game is RICH and with PVP WvWvW/SPVP game is awesome.

P.S Many times im in a low lvl area where i find some event and with maybe 2 or 3 fighting some boss is a experience ive not seen in any game ive played thats beauty of GW2 the fights can be tence and GREAT.

Only thing i spent money on is buying the game and expansions i wont spent one eurocent on itemshop ever i hate cashshops. I have what i get ingame by playing thats all.

4gold lvl80 playing sinds launch my max was at some time 12g when i sold alot from bank. Got everythink in exotic transmuted all my gear into tier 1 sylvari racial and not realy paying attention making gold.

First and second sentence i agree.

Third sentence is bit old now and is not accurate at all UO had no realm vs realm games idea came mostly comes from DAOC and i even see some ideas from Darkfall and not from UO at all. My best by far is Asheron’s call 1 btw, but im still not comparing them with GW2 it make no sense compare games from more then decade ago with game from 2012.
Free transfer is DISASTER and destroyed mainly WvW. Price for gems i dont realy care.

This is my biggest issue also with exploiters/cheaters arenanet did not enough bah:(

I rather see game difficulty increased like harder mobs and specially champions are way to easy. Lvl 80 area is a joke way to easy.

I feel the same as you OP, thats why GW2 is such a GREAT game no carrot on a stick. Still plenty to do and play everyday.

I just hope a steady 2million true fans stay and all cheaters/goldbuyers/hackers/rushers/exploiters leave the game. Im still enjoying the game alot sinds launch im playing everyday.

Underwater combat and whole underwater world is awesome i realy dont understand your problems, i dont have them at all its one best underwater world’s of all games.

Combat is not bad but challenge mobs give and events bosses is rediculous simple and weak and with zergs its even more simple. When i walk around orr im not feeling one bit of thread all mobs are easy and even some champions you can solo.
About cheaters and gold sellers this will be downfall of GW2 if arenanet not come up with good solution.
Hope in future it will all improve after all ive bought the game already but im not spending one dime more as long all cheaters and goldselllers can keep going and no bans for exploiters is no respect for legit players.

Its only getting worse becouse many losers transfer to server they think are winning team thats why WvWvW for many servers sucks:(

These constant transfer is killing WvWvW.

Desolation is terible un-organised server where losing big time. Big guilds are not doing much on desolation WvWvW on deso seems only getting worse:(

Why you people LIE is beyond me i go to alot of zones as 80 becouse finally game i can END from lvl1 to 80 (this seems majority still not graps lol) and plenty of players at events.

Ive only one character to lvl80 have 2 craft jobs around 40s craft lvl, few gold on bank and only few areas complete.
Around 50% world completion.
Im doing some events some exploring some gathering mats some crafting some WvWvW and some other stuff so im never bored.

I also dont look DB/WIKI’S/WALKTHROUGHTS or cheat sites any on info of the game, i find it out all by myself ingame how to figure out things work or where somethings ALL INGAME are, i dont even ask my guild for info of the game.

And i prolly will enjoy the game for long time no rush here!

This the first game where i also as a lvl80 with my exotic weapon and armor set go back to low lvl areas and still have to work hard to kill mobs or getting drops for my lvl even when your in lvl4 area(yes you can go back to low lvl areas as high lvl:P) KUDOO’S to you Arenanet for give a game that offers endgame from lvl1 up to lvl80.

Game is not boring if you know how to enjoy and play it, PVE/PVP is great fun and GW2 is worth your money.

Learn to enjoy have fun with GW2 instead farm farm farm work work work whine whine whine :P

Others will heal you not it same way as you use to but by placing things on ground or have skill that heals you alittle overtime. There are no real super healing abillitys that some class can use its all work to gether and use some heal that also give others some. No one will stand at some spot keep spamming heals at yah lol this is not the game for that:)

I like many of you learned about Guildwars 2, and was sold instantly. I have been scouring the web for a glimpse of this game’s content for the last 2 years as it was slowly revealed. The game came out and I began the leveling process. I remember thinking “hey this story is pretty well done for a start in building up to the end game”. I remember being occosionally interupted by a “dynamic event” while trekking from heart to heart and picking up every vista and point of interest. I though “this beats the leveling process of most mmo’s I have played”. My only critisisms of the leveling process was the large amount of kill quests, and how the quests seem to lack depth. That is fine for pre-endgame content. It wouldn’t really be an mmo of leveling wasn’t a grind.
I reached level 80, and was extremely excited to see what the endgame held. I didn’t really see much going on, so I assumed it was just because of the lack of people at 80. Then I read the post named “The Endgame Reimagined”. It was a complete slap in the face. It essentially said, the endgame and leveling are exactly the same. I was livid and felt cheated. In the past week a few posts defending the “endgame” have been poping up, and each one has the opposite of the intended effect. The endgame is a shell of what it should be. Below I’m going to eloborate on why I think each aspect of “endgame” needs work.

Dungeons:
The lack of anyone having a defined role makes it impossible to distinguish who is doing good or bad because they could appear to be doing anything. Healing and support are tied in to offensive abilities. When a group is dying, how do we know who to blame. When a group is thriving, how do we know who to think and to learn from. Winning or losing, everyone appears to be just aimlessly attacking and running around like chickens with their heads cut off. There is abolutely no structure. There is no way to see if someone’s gear/triats/utilities make any sense without interviewing them. I have played with a group in skype/vent, and tried to coordinate. Interviewing people to get just 5 decent players was a nightmare, and anything that was accomplished through our planning could have easily been acheived without. Combo feilds don’t have to be planned… they are just there. CC is so short that attempting to line them up would require someone dictating everyone while speaking at the speed of an auctioneer.
My final and strongest complaint about the dungeons are the waypoints. Dying over and over only to run back to the same fight is completly ridiculous.

World Bosses:
These are even worse than dungeons. As a caster, I can just stay my 1200 range away and spam a few abilities. Dodging is rarely required, and you can usually just sidestep when it would be useful. Adds have a short aggro range, so if you take a few steps in any directions they will leave. Without any cast sequence or priorities, this large scale model is simple and boring. If you are meelee, you are at an extremely large disadvantage. It is much more dangerous near an enemy than far away even if you’re behind them. The way these bosses behave is worse. They act as if no one is there and simply attacking places randomly. A few seconds of observation should clue you in on the places where you shouldn’t stand because the boss really hates the dirt in that area and feels compelled to smash it over and over.

Before today gold sellers were just that annoyance you right click and report.
they were mostly on the overflow, not on the main server.
So tonight I log on thinking yeah weekend play, and they are everywhere!
you cannot read map chat anymore.
My server has a great community and you cannot see them because you have gold-sellers spamming map chat!
I have spent my entire play time this evening reporting gold sellers!
this is not acceptable to me- when I log on to relax and play a great game- I want to be able to do so.
I do not want to be spammed by bots using stolen accounts!
I love this game and I love the community but this needs to stop.

Just ignore them and don’t buy gold they will leave its simple as that.

So seems to me from all the information i have slowly been compiling, a vast majority of folks are just saying " spec tanky " or " gear tanky" so what i am getting slowly from all of this is. Use a cookie cutter build/spec that uses tons of toughness/vit or get one shot constantly? cause what sounds like to me…and more i read about it more i feel inclined to agree with them.

One might say just dodge everything but we all know dodging every attack in game is impossible. Worse it seems that AI in game is actually designed to detect any class/player has lowest possible defenses and seek them out. SO again…not only did Anet lie when they said could play the way you wanted, they designed the game to PUNISH anyone that isn’t spec’d heavily or moderately into defensive lines.

i kinda feel lied to by Anet everything i heard was that old system of trinity was gone, wouldnt be any cookie cutters and we could play way we wanted and do all the content but that….clearly isn’t the case here. So i guess will end up like every other mmo with everyone just finding cookie cutter spec and using it and anyone wants to be dps, being tossed to the wayside for more tanky specs?

Dodge-skills-traits and the right runes will help alot, if you stop thinking that alot of hp and toughness kill mobs you’ll be ok:P

@OP … learn 2 play thats all i can say dodge use your skills and traits wisely and don’t try playing like you did in WoW and your OK.

I dare saying that you belong to group thats leaving a group after 2 deaths, i hope you all leave soon those who keep trying to force Arenanet making GW2 more like the avarage mmo’s WoW and hundreds of other mmo’s who have same trinity.
