I think the point is that there are builds that are too strong for very little effort. As an engineer I play a Bach on my keyboard, while thief can spec for PW, press two buttons and win.

Yes please. We need content. In this state I will probably get bored very soon.

We need new maps. Please, learn from Capricorn and never ever release similar map.

We need more game modes. CtF. Death Match. Free for all…. Get inspired by those FPSes!

We need to have hot join pvp reduced to 5v5. 8v8 is AWFUL. Right now I can seek for games with <10 people and join in. Once there is too many I just leave the massive zergfest and join next game with <10 players.

We need ranked matches (paid tournaments). Right now as a guild we get 1 out of 30 teams a good team to fight against. Rest is random PUG that we stomp badly.

We need rank icons – something to strive for. Prevent people from bsing about their rank.

We need prestige/rating – my vision is: a max rating of 1.000, that is achievable only thru Ranked Matches. You win match, you gain rating. You lose match, you lose rating.
Every 100 pts of rating is .5 star next to your Avatar, so you can see who’s “the pro”. For max rating you would gain + x% of glory gain and of course have the cool starts besides your avatar

What happened to Blowtorch?

ive never seen 2k crits with blowtorch. Must have had a high power/crit build.

I noted this while doing coated bullets experiments.

Blowtorch was always 3 hits. it clearly says that. However, normally it aggregates the damage, and tells you the total. A 2k crit, would be 3 666 damage crits. which would be something like 300-400 damage hits. Obviously, you had a high power to get that.
Blowtorch has low per hit scaling of .1075

When you take coated bullets, the UI stops giving aggregate damage. it shows each hit separately. So now you see, 300 3 times, instead of it added together.

The rest of the damage reduction is just you having less power then before.

I haven’t changed my build at all. I’ve moved 10 points from firearm to alchemy but that’s it. Never had coated bullets traited iirc and never tried high power build, because I hate being squishy pvp-wise. C-Damage build is awesome, because you can melt down your foes with conditions while maintaining high survivability. Now I do a whopping 600 direct damage with Blowtorch, that’s same amount as one tick of the Burning applied, instead of some nice 1.5-2k crits (happened quite often with my 40+% crit build).

You need to use it from close range now for full effect. I often find myself dodging mid animation tho, need to unlearn that :/

1. Put back Juggernaut trait, or give us a guaranteed stability skill.
2. Mooore weapons. Shotgun pls?
3. Sigils on Kits & improve kits in general. Right now only useful one seems to be Bomb kit for debuffs/CC in tournies and FT for knockback.
4. Pistols skills needs to be faster. Just comparing with ranger, shortbow feels so smooth and fast, and pistols are sokittenslow (Autoattack / Poison Valley e.g.)

Have they nerfed Blowtorch recently? I’ve been playing guardian a lot past week so I might have missed some patch. Yesterday I hopped back to my Condition Specced engi and noticed that blowtorch no longer crits for ~2k when close, but rather does 3x very low damage output. 3x 160-250. Did I just make this up or what happened?

I do realize that this is mainly for the awesome burning, especially with CDamage build, but wow, that just got hit a huge nerf bat?

I’ve noticed this as well. Some thieves run some sort of nearly-perma stealth and attack you while you can’t see them. I think it’s just bug/lag tho.

Right, I’ve said it. This map has turned into my least favorite in tournaments. Why? It’s a trebuchet contest. It’s sokittenboring. You destroy it, you get repair kit immediately, you put mesmer with portal and repair it.

This happens all the time, on both teams and the map is really boring because of that. There is absolutely no penalty when you destroy enemy trebuchet, which imho is wrong. There must be a CD on repair, or maximum of 3 repairs available…

Anyone can confirm that this trait is bugged? Every time I try to revive my ally it never knock backs anyone, although they have no stability and there is no miss on me?

This may have some merit, lol. Anecdotal, but both times I’ve had a PUG with double+ guardian vs. 1 or none, we took 1st place. Even against pre-mades.

Personally, I think retaliation is the main culprit behind Guardian bunkers being a little over-the-top. They spec heavily for tanking, but then reflect damage back at you. Why do your own damage when you can use THEIR damage?

That said, I don’t think penta-guardian would be effective. Condition damage and mobility tend to screw them over pretty hard. I have been wrong before, though.

Retaliation scales with power. My defensive/support guardian has 916 power, the reflect is not that huge and does not last that long. Guardians are strong, imo best node defenders in game, can troll forever, but can’t kill anything fast (with my build), but I wouldn’t call it OP.

uhm…1.7k toughness and 18k hp is indeed glass cannon. thats really low toughness, and the hp aint stellar

I’m not shouting or crying OP and nerf (maybe just a little), I’m asking for explanation. I’ve got very little knowledge of mesmer, I dodged out of some of his Quickness combo at beginning, then some more and then he landed this. Huh? No glass cannon build – engi (1.7k toughness / 18k health)

No, it does not need to be changed into stun or interrupt, it needs to be fixed. The landing should be immediate at least…. Right now you are shooting for 2 years and waiting another 2 years for it to land and spread on the ground.

Downed state should be nerfed to oblivion in sPVP anyway. Only one interrupt skill should be available for all classes and then the #4 heal. No damage or more teleports or clones or other kittene….

Why was it even nerfed? The previous Juggernaut was awesome, stability with FT but 30% (or more?) slower movement speed. I totally loved it, great to rezz/finish in sPVP without being interrupted.
