Imho the best option would be to add a sound option to mute all weapon sounds – quip sounds, dreamer sounds, storm bow one, hunter, astralaria or now beastslayer rifle one (other people also said that). So a player can individualy enjoy/be rid of that noise.
Another thing that came into my mind is that I love my quip sound (and I made it for the sound) but I hate other people’s dreamer’s one so… maybe an option to mute all weapon sounds with the additional option to mute all other players’ sounds but mine. This could also be used in character voices – we have option to mute all voice (retreat!, wahs the pain away! I can outrun a centaur!, etc…) and it would be cool to have an option to hear your character’s voice, but not others…

please! outfits would be sooo much better then. and… I think most of outfits are made with that (hiding pauldrons) taken in consideration (except… noble one). So I think that could easily be implemented.

Furthermore… could helms and pauldrons of outfits be put into wardrobe as separate helm and pauldrons skins?

Re-installing AMD Catalyst Control Center fixed all the crashing issues.

maybe your account got hacked.
try submitting a request to gw2 support team, you can ask for account reset.

Screenshot of latest try to play gw2. I put -mapLoadInfo in shortcut for more informations. It crashes right on 100% and I get an option to send crash report to Anet. I can also hear ambient music going on nicely in the background. After sending report, everything (gw2 and this window) simply closes.

also, to add, all my drivers are up-to-date.

I know GW2 is not fully compatible with windows 8, but since my computer broke I’m playing on my laptop on which I have windows 8. Game crashes very often and has a lot of performance issues. After the last crash, I can’t play anymore.

First with the crashing problem.
Few months ago I played gw2 on my laptop and it had no crashing issues as it has now (only performance ones). Only recently (1-2 weeks ago) I started playing gw2 again on it, and since then crashes are constant.
It crashes very often and I mostly know when. It crashes every single time I press H to get to anything in hero panel (build, wardrobe, stats, minis, finishers, achis…) or when I right click and select “preview” on anything that has that option (armor or weapon) (via chat, inventory or wardrobe).
And every few days, it crashes on loading the map (after character selection screen). Then I make a shortcut with “…” -repair command and after repair is done, it sometimes works good (can load map, but still crashes on every H press or preview selection). But after the last repair, it doesn’t work and game still crashes on loading. And so, gw2 is atm unplayable for me.

(I also sent error report it proposed after every crash)

How can I fix this? Is it possible to fix? Will these new crashes go away?

And now the performance issues I have.
My computer was built many years ago: Intel Pentium dual core E2220 @2.40 GHz 2.40 GHz, 4 GB RAM and Nvidia GeForce gt 640 (and win7 64-bit). I had settings on autodetect and I had mid-low graphics (mostly mid with few options low or disabled). And with it, after the last patch, I had ~35 fps constantly (it was much less before the last patch). On my laptop (HP ProBook 4540s) I have a little bit better stats: Intel Core i5-3230M @2.60 GHz 2.60 GHz, 4 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD 7650M (and win8 64-bit). To fight overheating I have aluminium cooler and I am quite careful for it (laptop) not to overheat – if I notice it is quite warm, I shut it down and wait for it to cool down (but since I’ve been playing gw2 on it, overheating has been quite rarely a problem).
Now, I know it’s laptop and that stats aren’t that much better, but I have constantly awful performance – on autodetect I have almost everything on disabled and low and have around 25 fps. I configured switchable graphics for gw2, and it runs on high performance on AMD Radeon graph. card. It was when I played few months ago and it is now that I began playing on laptop again. Saddening low performance. Constantly.
Just to clarify, I don’t have any sweetfx running with it, nor I had.
Somewhere I’ve read that it is because of win8 and that I have to disable some hibernation options on my laptop, but is it really because of that?

Is it somehow possible to get better performance?

And lastly, is Anet working on getting GW2 compatible with Win8? Because there is only one fix that comes to my mind – to install Win7 over Win8 and, I guess, fix all the issues with game and many more of other.

I’ll try to load game again to put some screenshots of crash I get on loading map.

With the new LS releases, maybe Anet will add Stalwart and Tribal armor back… At least with some karma merchant, maybe in Dry Top… Or some new merchant in (in future) rebuilt Lion’s Arch or with some heart in (future) renewed Kessex Hills.

tried restarting, but it doesn’t solve the issue
(same build, same error)

Got it resolved. Tried restarting pc. After that, upon launching gw2 I got asked to allow gw2 trough firewall (which I wasn’t asked before) and after allowing it, game regularly started, no issues at all.
