My opinions:
- Remove Agony and Agony resistance. Its not skill based it entirely stat based and sounds like the new Agony resistance will depend on RNG to aquire drops. Add more interesting/less predictable attacks to bosses at higher levels (eg snow boss is super predictable) instead. Its just agony right now is just dumb…
- Be clear about what difficulty the new level 30 fractal level is compared to the old levels. Since it was feasible to do levels up to 49 before this may have been a better point to change at.
- Don’t reduce the level fractal weapon skins become available unless you intend to introduce a higher level of fractal weapon skin. Having a fractal weapon skin show a lot of dedication to fractals at present which would be removed if you lowered the requirement (you should also remove the need to transmute them).
- for leaderboards it would make more sense if it was time based on a specific level on 3 fractal levels with a specific end boss. Reset monthly and provide unique skins as rewards (obtainable nowhere else).
I’ve been waiting for new fractals for ages. Hopefully they won’t remove any of the old ones and will give us 3+ new ones and some new end bosses, bit dull getting the same one every time
The level 80 stones are really supposed to be bought. This is part of what should replace the subscription fee…
Yep milking it…….1000 gems now is definitely not worth it, since we can buy full sets of tools for next several years for all toons for less. There’s paying for convenience and there’s being gouged for convenience. This is on par with the pet rock.
But this isn’t convenient… to use on another character I must go the the bank and put them in and then go to the bank to get them out…
If however they did it like the Zenith skins then I would buy a cool set of them. I’ve been waiting for something worth buying from the gem store but still haven’t seen anything worth it…
I would be more inclined to moan about the very poor mechanic which makes you less effective against higher level mobs than the fact you are a few levels too low to do an area.
I don’t think its fine that technical limitations exist.. in this case.
What other game has an issue with DoT users using their DoTs? I mean thats just ridiculous.
No other game has to calculate condition duration and damage as extensively as Guild Wars 2, though.
Are you implying ArenaNet is lying? I doubt it, considering there’s no other reason bleed cap should exist.
But just client side condition damage for champions and world bosses and send the damage to the server every second, problem solved…
I accept the argument about PVP bleed issues but not about PVE based combat. In PVE combat damage inflicted by a player can be worked out the the players computer and just relay that to the server. The same can trivially work with all forms of damage be it bleeds, burning normal attacks, crits and area based attacks. This would also allow for more than one burning effect on the boss (if it was wanted). Then you can just have a 25 bleeds player cap and show how many total bleeds are on him (updating every second from all but your own pc which updates your bleeds in real time.
This solution feels so easy to impliment I don’t understand why it hasn’t been done. Especially since this mean many builds are useless in world boss fights to the point of afk’ing deals only slightly less damage than actually fighting…
Good post, deserves a proper reply. Even suggests a sensible solution for PVE cases.
This is especially important since I can easily get 10-20 bleeds on an enemy on my own so even in a 5 man dungeon we can often max out the bleeds at 25…
I have the same problem. Its not my computer, plenty of spare memory and processing power, and my internet connection is fine too… Its got worse over the last two weeks…
I have nearly the same problem. I have turned in 5/6 of the items have one in my inventory that no-one wants and can’t pick up the item for the guy who claims to have lost something…
