Guild Wars 2

Well personally, I ran path 2 legit for months and months before discovering this even existed. I don’t mind the skip runs because it shaves off about 15-20 minutes, which I can then use to do other things…it’s also convenient if I want to squeeze in a token run during a 30 minute lunch break without having to worry about running out of time.

However, with the number of people going on and on about this… it wouldn’t surprised me if they made the gates reach to the ceiling or something though.

I finally did manage to get this with a great group and some patience. The trick that worked for us was we all grouped together after the first golem (when the laser beams start picking up speed and the walls pop up). As long as you’re all running together, then the golems won’t chase players all around the room and run into the walls, thus charging up and pulling people. Best of luck to everybody!

You have to avoid horrik’s cannon blasts when it’s him alone too (after running across the bridge.) Then you’re golden for the achievement. Thanks!

I just tried this and I didn’t work. Everybody was fighting Horrik after Mai died and I ran across and it teleported me back. Twice. Did I do something wrong?

I feel like I might be missing something, but I’m finding it impossible to get the Faster Than Light achievement on my guardian. It seems like the golems all make a beeline for me and ragdoll me all over the place, regardless of how much I pop an Aegis or stability utility. Is anybody else running into this problem? This achievement is driving me bonkers! I’m thinking I might have to job change for this one, but I really wish I could do it as guardian…

I was able to get Unfriendly Skies (finally). It was still rough going and we finished with barely a minute to spare, whew! What worked for us was running a big circle around the room. We tried in a previous run the stick-to-your-own-corner method but that turned into a disaster with people stepping into each other’s areas and cannon fire chaos ensuing. I’m sure it works but running around in a circle around the room is much less stressful. Haven’t gotten the Personal Space achievement yet, but practice makes perfect right?

I’m interested in joining up. I’ve tried with run with a few PUGs but we always seem to fall short. I’d really like to get these achievements done!

Also, regarding the Personal Space achievement, do you only need to avoid the blue cannon fire? I’m just not sure which cannon blasts are Horrik-specific or if you have to avoid EVERY red circle in the room during the onslaughts. Anything you might remember would be appreciated. Thanks!

I managed to finally get this achievement this morning. I woke up early and got it on my 2nd run after about 30+ attempts yesterday. There were only 3 other people in the match, including myself! I’d suggest playing at off hours since it’s just too random/difficult to coordinate with 7 other people. Best of luck to everyone!

I’m not having the greatest of luck with this achievement either. It wasn’t until 3 times actually ending the match holding the crab (that’s how I understood the description to mean it) and not earning it did I realize something was up.

That’s when I found this thread and learned about how you REALLY earn this achievement. Can’t say I’m too thrilled about it. Already 63/100 on Crabgrabber and 251/300 on Crab-Carrying Competitor.

If you have to rely on other players to face-plant for your own achievement then that seems goofy to me. How is that YOUR achievement if you have to depend on them to screw up? Meh, I’ll keep attempting it until I cap out those 2 achievements I mentioned above but I’ll probably call it a day if I haven’t lucked into it by then.
