Played Both... Necro or Ele!

I’ve tried a few Classes like Ranger, Warrior, Guardian and i have to say that the Elementalist fit’s well for me. I like the simple fact that you can kite mobs, make use of a bit of movement aswell as switching your attunements wisely when it comes down to killing a larger group of mobs.

I didn’t play the Necro as much as an Elementalist, but it’s also a really enjoyable and funny character… Just level both, every Class in GW2 is great.

For me i didn’t like the Warrior as much as the Elementalist for the fact that melee class is some kind of a “no-brainer”.

Hey Men,

iam also playing an Necromancer and Guardian. Iam not really having any trouble at Orr. Even if my Guardian still is a bit more easier at Orr then my Necromancer, for the reason he has alot of defensiv Skills.

Personally, iam not having any experience in playing Ranger, but friends of mine said their doing also quiet well.

They really not to work a little bit more on that in Guild Wars 2, if this game should be played in competition mode.

There are a few things missing before it can be started in leagues like ESL, ClanBase, whatever. First thing is Spectator Mode.
Second Thing are seperated Servers where everyone can connect (password requiered), so Admins are abled to join the Game too.
Third: Anti-Cheat Engine. There are really enough people hacking around in this Game at the moment. They also have to include something to record demos.

There’s alot of work for ArenaNet before GW2 can start to be competitiv.

This game has "xp grind". We need more ways to gain xp!

You should consider to swap between the Race’s starting Areas and complete Quests.

I was at the very same point like you, Grinding Events to move on, Heart always 3-5 Levels above after completing those ones that were equal. Most times i stood in the World of Tyria thinking about “Is this the Way this game should be played?” I also asked different players if they have the same issues, they always told me that they not.

Okay, so what did they do?

They made use of swapping between different Race Area’s, exploring the Map until 60-90%, completing Quests meanwhile and teleport back to your “Main” Area.

That’s all and those guys always were 3-7 Levels above me without any Quest Struggles.

New player - craft of sell?

The question is, do you want to level up as quickly as possible?

If yes, then it’s an hard time doing this on your own, only by Crafting. It takes too long to gather that much materials and you don’t have that much Gold to get them all via the Trading Post.

With my first Character, i just collected raw materials on my Way to complete Quests. I didn’t do any Crafting with my Main while Leveling, i never had that much material to make it a “profitable craft”.

I suggest you sell all your collected Material for Gold. Otherwise, you can also save it for your ALT.

However, crafting can be the fastest Way to Level your Character, but not meant to make money in low levels.

If you would be one of my Teammates that i already know over a long period of Time and Games (iam talking about Years on that), i would propaply help them to get their level boosted in no-time, supporting them with Gold to buy Materials.

That’s the best thing about low-level Crafting.

Spawn rate is too fast

I seriously like AoE Grinding , but they should really increase the spawn timer of different NPC’s in Guild Wars 2. A friend of mine and me did some AoE Grinding, we hardly managed to stay alive with this incredible fast spawns

I totally agree on viewing a friend and his character achievement for the reason that i sometimes want to know what these guy / friend has already done yet. It’s somehow missing in Guild Wars 2.

Seriously, beginners would propaply like more “in-depth” Tooltips about Skills.

I highly recommend you take a look at Cooking and / or Artificer to level up with Crafting. Other Professions seemed to complex and time consuming for fast progression in ranking up.

is there any way to convert karma into gold that doesn't get you banned?

There was a time, just after the Trading Post has been released, where you were able to buy Cooking Egg’s or other stuff for Karma and sell them instantly in the Trading Post. It’s fixed right now.

Go explore other Race Town’s and Areas, Complete Heart Quest there if you didn’t yet, otherwise move to World vs World and claim some keeps… If your Server seems to be stuck in WvW, transfer for one Day.

You should have a good amount of money too from your other Main-Characters. Use the Trading Post and go for crafting. There are so much ways to boost up levels

Is it just me or are engineers under powered in PVE

Comparing a warrior with playing an Engineer or Mesmer is a different reality. We all know that they are not that “straight forward” in Leveling like the Warrior. He’s just like “charge in, AoE, finish”.

Take a look at the elementalist and Mesmer for example. They are really tricky to play, also when it comes down to Leveling. They are propaply not that fast as an Warrior, but it’s worth all the effort you put in, when it comes down to PvP. While the Warrior doesn’t have any tricks or gimmicks at all, other classes have their very own strength.
