I really can’t tell if people telling Wethospu that no one soloed this are being serious. In any case, I share Sandy’s sentiment!
I can’t believe you kittening people. There are enough kittening threads about this kittening kitten and you have to start another one just to troll. I miss the days when I could find interesting threads in our community forum. I am so kittening done here. I also can’t believe I just logged in to bump this kittening thread. Kitten me.
Thanks Lord Kuru I wonder what the developers could have been planning when they tampered with Belka.
Sometimes I wish I were less color blind to notice changes like this… At Alphard today I was too annoyed by the camera change to think of anything else. Just curious, for someone having troubles with colors like me, was the old palette not consisted of pungent green and shady orange?
Has anyone noticed anything odd about Belka? It feels like her damage has been significantly reduced.
Having fought her solo several times each week since October, I have a pretty decent idea when I’d need to run away from her – and after the patch I barely had to. There’s no change in my clumsy skills and rotations. The difference is quite noticeable.
On a side note, it feels like Brie’s death ray has been reverted, or maybe I just did better at sidestepping… although on the patch day I got hit by her every time she charged it up.
AmbrosialK is one of the leaders of Burning Speed [Hawt] according to its website. I believe this guild was formed by some of the former [IX] members.
You could also interrupt the split with guardian’s binding blade. Bind when the ooze is still vulnerable, and then pull when it starts evading. I learned this from a Charr guardian I haven’t tested it in a while though.
The reflect, however, is definitely much easier. I’d never have thought about trying it. Thanks all for sharing the information! I wonder if this means a simple wall of reflection would work as well.
I believe that there is a trait that grants guards the ability to ground-target their consecrations.
Gah, you are right. How could I have forgotten about it? Thanks for pointing it out!
Edit: And Zelendel already mentioned it earlier. I should pay more attention next time.

Abe is doing something different here. This is like Goku’s “we did it” feedback video. The reflect fields are placed on the wall, rather than on the ground. How do people do that?
So sorry to hear about the rough things in life.
I’ll definitely be interested in Arah tours. Thank you for planning them and for being such a good teacher!
My mesmer idols are colesy and Sanderinoa
Special thanks to colesy. My enjoyment of this game has grown exponentially ever since I changed my build after reading his advice. I still suck at the game, but I am having way more fun and feeling more encouraged to improve myself. I admire the fact that up till this day, despite all the forum discouragement, he’s still trying to help people improve themselves in PVE. Thank you colesy! Your voice is indispensable to the community.
May I join as a student too?
Thanks Laharl, I’ll be happy to do melee training some time, though I most likely will be terrible. One thing I am unsure about is the use of phantasms in phase 3: their movements do cause Lupicus to bubble, and it almost downed a warrior friend of mine when he dodged into a bubble while meleeing. I am guessing I would need to avoid using them when everyone is in melee.
Thanks Iris Also it feels great to see a picture of me dead in the funniest player fails thread, heehee.
I can attest to the patience and helpfulness of laharl, Iris, Nikaido, and their friends. They have patiently guided (or carried) me through Arah paths, while tolerating my consistent failure to reflect Lupicus’ frenzied blast. They are genuinely friendly people, and my experience of running dungeons with them is among the best memories I’ve had in this game. Many thanks to them!
Meanwhile, I’ll continue to make efforts to improve myself – especially reading animations, timing myself, and getting my reflects right. Yesterday I joined a p3 run with some new people and finished the run with them in 1.5 hours! Not noteworthy by any stretch, but much better than my first ever Arah run months ago that never went past Lupicus. Even though I had to dedicate myself to grub killing in phase 1, we only wiped at Lupicus once. Laharl will probably be disappointed to hear that I did the noobish thing of staying in range during phase 3…
Is this what you are looking for?
Also, this other one plays during the undead giant phase.
