The strenght of the weapon (from exotic to ascended) increases from 165% to 175%, so the increase IS NOT 10% but about 6%. Anyway, there is a difference. Saying it has no effect on the game is either lying or being stupid.
Alright, it may be a small effect, but there you have it. The game will be easier with these weapons, and this is how you unballance a game.
It is obvious to me that, apart from the ascended slots, the damage should have stayed the same.

I did this DE like a week or two ago with my main character, a Guardian, being maybe level 25-28. At first I flipped out at the deaths and high DPS it dealt to players staying far away from it. But after that I simlpy ran to the fire elemental itself and started doing melee attacks with the greatsword I had equipped and summonning an espectral sword and hammer. I don’t want to exaggerate, but I’m pretty sure I halved -at least- its HP, being killed maybe 3 or 4 times. And, by the way, survived much more time than people staying near the bridge where it does ranged attacks.
So, with some melee warriors and guardians, it has to be pretty easy to get rid of it, because it really has a very very low HP for its (huge) size.

Ending bots is as simple as adding Captchas. I won’t discuss it further, but there are many ways to implement it that aren’t annoying and person-friendly.
