The game wouldn’t let me name my characters certain things that I’m sure have no kind of offensive meaning whatsoever.

I tried to name a character “Charrgineer G” and was told it was an inappropriate name. But “Charrgineer V” was fine. Now, I’m trying to name a character “Mindgame G” but it’s also inappropriate. However, “Mindgame J” was fine.

Is there something wrong to have a standalone “G” in the character’s names?

A friend of mine is trying to download the game but at the moment is having some continuous problems with internet signal. As such the internet will drop at any moment or the download speed will be halved (if so much).

Because of this I was wondering if maybe I could copy the necessary files from my installation folder over to his system and let the installer do whatever necessary procedures with them. Would that work or does the installer need to download and process the files itself?

My group and I have gotten to the final battle. Group vs Nightmare DE

Eir and Zojja are a pain from far, Logan and Rytlock a pain from up close. With that we decided to take out Eir first (because of her knockdown). That didn’t turn out too well. Instead we decided to pull Logan into the hallway and kill him. Pulled him fine, killed him fine. But Faolain didn’t appear to rez him and he popped right back up after a couple of seconds.

So my question, does killing Nightmare DE in the hallway not activate the Faolain rez?

Feel free to give input on your strategy(ies) for this final battle.

Wow. The “pro” players really seem to mess up the experience for everyone don’t they? Well do you have a server that you’d recommend?

I like to walk up to people and start random conversations about nothing in particular. And no one breathing down my neck to go into WvW or about our current WvW status.

tl;dr

What’s up guys? A friend of mine told me that the last event was only useful if you were lvl 80 (which I’m not). At least I got my Reef Drake pet and don’t have to go back in Southsun for a while

Players on Shiverpeaks! Can you tell me what it’s like over there in terms of population, player willingness to assist in dungeons, quests, etc., guilds, general sociability, etc.

I’ve been thinking of switching but the 7-day waiting period can be quite bothersome…

Additional Comments: I say what comes to mind really. I like a good chat every now and then. Either by whisper or via guild chat. I’m a serious altoholic to the point where I grow bored of my main before he hits max level. The highest I’ve ever gotten was 49.

Honestly, if you didn’t like early game mesmer then you may not like later game mesmer. But I do think that level 15 is a little early. I started getting bored of my mesmer around 45 or so. Currently playing Ranger and I’m 36 and already a little bored.

It’s up to you ultimately but my advice is to stick a little while longer.

When I saw the t3 medium cultural I thought “now this is gonna look cool on my Asura”. And when I previewed it, I was right. Imo, the cultural armor are made to fit the race, not any particular class. Even if it’s classed as light/med/heavy. What would make it more suited to the class is the colourset.

I am now totally hooked on my Asura! I know I’m not the only one so I wanted to see why everyone else likes them.
My main reasons are:
1. When I dodge she looks like Yoda jumping around
2. The unnecessarily large vocabulary aka “structural integrity has been compromised”
3. So cute and sarcastic

*All of the above
*My Asura Ranger’s pets are all bigger than him so it looks like I should be riding them (especially my Moa)
*The way their ears perk up when you go into combat mode

So is this being done or what? I love the idea.

Should we all be on one server or are servers not a problem?
What about the name? I like Asuran Research Coalition suggested by FlashbackJon
