I think we’re on day 9 or 10 of not having a guild and it’s been almost a week since Cam gave us an update on here. I think he have to assume that they won’t be making any more updates on this via the forum. The sad thing is we can’t even recreate our old guild because it says it already exists. Less people are logging in every day and frankly if this is not fixed soon I’m pretty sure we will be done playing gw2. It is what is it and I’m not really complaining. It’s a bug that isn’t there on purpose which is obviously very difficult to fix and may not ever be able to be fixed. What I will complain about is the sudden lack of communication here. Cam was doing a great job of keeping us apprised of the status, but the last post saying we would be updated was almost a week ago. I will keep checking the forum for an update but I don’t have my hopes up.
Just to keep you guys updated, I’ll be working on this problem tomorrow and trying to find out why the remaining guilds haven’t returned. I’ll let you know how things are going.

Ok, it’s great to hear that missing guilds are coming back online. Phew :-)
We are still working on the remaining problems also – we’re doing an update tonight which will give us a lot more information about what’s happening. After that we’ll know more.
For now, switching between maps will fix some (not all) of the problems with using guild functions.

The Knightwatch [KW] Jade Quarry is still not working.
Sorry, sadly I got a lot of PMs about this and can’t reply to them all. We’re using the information in each PM to look up the broken guilds and work out how to fix them.
I know it feels bad and I’m sorry it’s taking a while to fix. Trust me that we’re on it.

Are you only looking at PM’s or are you also looking at the forum posts for a listing on guilds?
My guild completely disappeared on me. It’s like I never created it. I had 10 members and a bunch of upgrades and such. on Tuesday when I logged on it first had all my upgrades gone and inflence gone. and no members besides me, that was when I checked in the morning, but my brother and boyfriend said that on their guild menu, it was still there. Later that day though, it had disappeared for everyone.
Anyone else have this issue?
I think there are a good number of people who have this issue. We ran into the same or a very similar issue 3 days ago. They are working on the fix, but we are still broken. There are a couple guilds who posted around the same time I did that appear to be fixed but no luck for us so far.
I’m still in the same boat as well. My guild has been gone for 3 days now. Filed a ticket the moment it happened, sent a PM to Cameron, made multiple posts here, and haven’t heard a peep from anyone. I know they say they’re working on it but It feels pretty awful regardless.
At this point, 3 days in, that small roster I had spent time building – hand picking people – and all of the guild rep we could have built in those 3 days is as good as lost I’m sure. I was about to get my guild stash before this happened. That’s a good amount of rep for a small 12 man guild.

I am also 3 days in and no word about mine either. Cameron never replied to my PM. We had our stash done but I had refused to start any more upgrades until guilds were not bugged. Now we have spent the last three days with no guild at all. Ive been able to contact most of the members to let them know they did not get kicked but couldn’t reach all of them. Hopefully they go to our website and read the post there. It sucks leveling with no guild and the blind invites are irritating.

Very similar situation to what we have gone through. We have actually lost 2 members during this time. They just decided to quit playing at least for now. It’s definitely frustrating, but we just have to ride it out. I am sure AN is doing all they can to get the guilds restored. My guess is they have to manually fix all the guilds and that takes a lot of time and man power. They can only have so many people working on the issue. With 2 million people purchasing the game, I am sure they are quite burred right now. We can’t do anything but sit tight. They are aware of the issue and have at least been updating us daily on the status.
I will say a number of our players are not interested in starting over with the guild and would most likely stop playing if something is not fixed in the near future. I don’t know if this is just frustration talking or something they are serious about it. The ability to not work with the guild has really taken a lot of the fun and excitement out of the game over the last 3 days. All that said I am sure AN is aware of the implications of guilds not working.

Realm Ranks would definitely be interesting. They would just need to make sure that they were only able to be used in WvWvW and maybe PvE. I don’t think anyone would want Realm Ranks in sPvP. Warhammer had a pretty good Realm Ability system that was a bit toned down from DAoC if I remember correctly.
Thank you to everyone who responded and PM’d me. As predicted, the fix worked for some guilds and not for others. We’ll continue to look into why the non-fixed guilds are still not working.
Just a note on the other issues raised in this thread : We’re going to focus on the problems with guilds entirely disappearing, and also fix the issue with having to move between servers to represent the guild. Once that’s working we’ll get back to everyone about the other problems they are seeing – we know that those other problems are important to fix too!

Thanks for the update Cam, I know you guys are working as hard as you can on this.
Had a quite strange update regarding my missing guild. The guild went missing on Tuesday and all our members but one could see it, he reported that everybody was still in the original guild but nobody was representing. Then on Wednesday another of our members realised he could see the original also. However it was not correctly named.
The tag [DoB] was correct; upgrades, message of the day and roster correct. However it was named something Rabbit?
We had a similar issue. Our guild was tagged something else right before the whole thing broke. It seems to be that there is some corruption in their database that they are going to have to fix.
I would have assumed that by now someone would have given us an update on the missing guilds.
Sitting here in the dark, not knowing if we should or should not create new guilds isn’t a very comforting feeling. Especially when each of our guilds have invested gold/inf into their research.
Please, an update would go a long way.
They updated us last night. They think they may have found the issue and deployed a fix last night. Unfortunately, it did not seem to work for most if not all of us. I’m sure they are working on it, but are unable to produce a fix for everyone yet. I would expect them to update us as soon as they have information. This has been a huge pain point for our guild and yours too, I’m sure, but saying we’re working on it is not going to speed things up.
I can’t see any situation where they would force us to create a new guild. That would be catastrophic in my eyes. The amount of money and time spent getting guilds leveled up and created is too great to force a new guild to be created. We’re just going to have to wait it out until there is a fix. Hopefully we will also be compensated for our lost time as well.

Problem: Even after all the “fixes” and a patch our guild is in the same situation. It seems like a majority, if not all, of the Guilds who were posted here are also having the same issue still.
There’s 2 issues being discussed in this thread : I’m going to talk about the guilds which have totally gone missing.
We found (and fixed) a bug with a number of different guilds which were causing them to no longer be available. This probably isn’t going to fix every broken guild, but it should fix a lot of them.
For people in this situation please check their guilds and let me know whether they’ve been fixed or not. You can PM me or respond to this thread.

The Knightwatch [KW] on Jade Quarry still does not work. Multiple Guild members logged in and out , zoned, etc. Still no luck.
Another guild member mentioned to me that he was invited to another guild, so perhaps it’s not just a display issue. Again the guild is The Knightwatch [KW].
It seems like we’re dealing with perhaps two different issues. One issue is people are losing connection to the Guild Server in different zones, the other issue is that guilds have apparently been “disbanded”.
If you search the web, you’ll find this issue of guilds vanishing has been going on for at least a week now. Please, could we have some resolution on this? This is a serious drawback for many of us.

A guild member who plays late night just logged into Mumble and said around 4 AM PST last night he saw the guild name change from [KW] to [MIZ]. Don’t know if that will be helpful or not, but I thought I would relay the information.
Created a ticket in game, posted on twitter, and made a post on here. No response to any of the request in regards to our guild [KW] missing. Some kind of update would be much appreciated. We have a lot of confused guildies who think they got booted from the guild.
Guild appears to be completely gone as for this morning. All members I have spoken to are currently not showing any guild affiliation. Obviously, this is a huge issue.
