Hi,
my kids got me into this game, Im in my 50s and my wife has joined in as well. also in her 50s. Our boys have long ago moved on but my lady and I enjoy gw2 together and individually on a daily basis.
Great game for us oldies but dont know till you try it.

hi,
If you go for greens the trading post isn’t too bad.
Limit search to a few levels around what you want then sort by price and buy what you can afford. Usually at each level a couple of items are very popular and expensive but many are available for a couple of silvers. Do this every 10 or 15 levels and it works ok.
Also maybe sell some of your mats, if you have been harvesting everything you will have quite a bit of coins worth of mats in your bank. But I would advise not selling any of the top tier mats, they are hard to get and you may want them for ascended crafting latter.
Just want to say I am one of those that love the underwater combat in this game, want more as
Poisonwell.1209 says
" I wish there were more events or cities there, anything, marine events there will be just spectacular! "
But be sure to update your weapons, aqua-breather and set your utilities (must be set underwater).
cheers
have you read all the stickies at the top of this forum?
another hint is the gw2 wiki (done by players, about 98% or so accurate),
this can be accessed by /wiki in chat, and you can put item your interested in after that(with a space) to get info on that particular item.
also read other posts by inexperience players, lots of good advice already given.
Ive also had great success in asking specific questions in map (especially in lions arch)
hope some of this helps
cheers
Hi Tomer,
welcome to our game,
I hope you persevere, I too had a lot of trouble adjusting to this game.
I got very frustrated for a little while, but with help from lots of peeps in game I got used to it, and have now had about 16 months of fun. Though some things do still frustrate me, but you get that in anything you do.
I always found asking in map chat good most of the time. Usually someone is around to point the way, and give advice.
I now play wvw almost all my play time, once you get the hang of the game and a decently high level its a blast. check it out sometime.
cheers
All of the above
very cool,
there’s a worthy project for you Mr/Ms Stein,
convince the rest of the team!
yes sir
I agree with the need for a lore vehicle, and info about whats going on in Tyria being in game.
This other thread is good

Midnight fire also looks black on some armor and iron is quite dark as well, so be sure to preview.
! be sure to remember the 5% listing fee and the 10% tax (= 15% of the list price)
yesterday i popped a number of halo’s in an arc that could be ran easily, ( kill the undead critters ) and went back to start as they re-spawned and about half ( 50 %) had aetherblades, pop all again and keep going in circle till done. worked for me
pop a few of the halo’s, in a nice arc to run. kill the holographic undead and then go back as they re-spawn. once killed they have a 50% chance of coming back as aetherblades.
I did this in dredgehaunt cliffs yesterday and got what i needed, ( if everyone killed the halos all would be good)
Eidolo has it right, if noone kills the holo’s then they cant respawn as Aetherblades
this is because peeps are only running past and not killing the holograms, 50% spawn as holo’s but these ones are never reset by most, so the 50 % that are Aetherblades then get to re-spawn and only 50 % of those can re-spawn as Aetherblades so the number of Aetherblades keeps going down each time they are reset, unless someone resets the holo ones as well
Hi,
Had a commander and her/his Hench persons flogging and qq ing about how crap the noobs are and how if they don’t do what their told they are hurting the server.
Well if a commander makes www more work than my job, and alienates all the noobs,
our coverage will never improve. This is what hurts a server more in the long run, not some noobs making a few errors of judgement.
On the other hand a Commander that “leads”, “teaches” and “inspires” the noobs may just turn noobs into valuable experienced warriors for the server. :P
good idea and +1 for it.
Even better why not make it free to travel between any of the cities to any other city.
For my 2 cents worth, Arkhaios Daimon.6813 ideas seem right on the money.
if this was a democracy I’d vote for him.
I agree with the original post in full
Still the same, I have tried this with 3 characters- 2 are now 80,s this has been bugged for at least a month
same on the tarnished coast server
Same for Tarnished coast server
similar on tarnished coast, he is visible but you can’t interact with him.
I logged out just now and when I logged back in I went to the overflow server and I was able to activate and complete the challenge
