would like to know the reason to nerf this trait…
I find it very easy to die. last 3 times I died, twice in blurred frenzy, and once in distortion. “evade all attacks” my fat *. THANKS a-net.
Unfortunately, I think Mesmer is back to where the majority of GW2 players likes it, in Meh condition. This last set of nerfs just proves it. Some skills (phase retreat, izerker, etc) stay broken for months, but as soon as they give mesmers a little buff and BOOM the 50% nerf bat comes out Again in weeks or even days.(DD?) lol . and the 50% nerf to everything (confusion, retal. stealth, ect.) flys in the face of why they made HP so much higher than GW1. It was supposed to be so they could “fine tune” skills and dam. by making “small tweaks” to skills, well 50% again and again and now again does not feel like a small tweak, and shows that they do listen to the QQ and cowtow to pressure, Its a lot easier to crush the mes. community since its only about 9% of player base than listen to the other 91%
Came on to post this very thing. My problem with warr.s is they ARE the best at everything. Best weapon selection, Best armor class, Best HP. pool, Best mobility, Best dps. Best zerg. class, Best HP. regen. maybe or not maybe not Best roaming class but come on. Now some things are obvious for a warr. class like heavy armor but all together they have everything but stealth. Now having said that I think the regen and mobility needs a change for sure, idk how many times warr.s have just run away when they get low, just to come back 20sec. later after cool downs and regen make them full again. As a class with no speed boost, but one, and no stability, its impossible to kill a warr. unless I can spike and get lucky. Ive also been in WvW and had Warr.s with so much regen. I cant harm them. even with 3200 power and a 60%+ crit chance. (just came from WvW where a signet warr. was fighting us 9 v 1 and still got away after about 30sec. of fighting)
I found after a windows 8.1 update that stereoscopic rendering (which was always off before) is now set to on, upon start up. Plus it gets “reset” after every map/char. change. This makes the game very hard to see. Would like to know how to change this back more permanently.
I have this problem too now. I know its the stereoscopic rendering in the graphics option. I have never had a problem before as this option seemed disabled until I installed windows 8.1. Now it seems to want to use this option all the time and makes the screen like 3D w/o the glasses. Would like to know how to change it as the setting reverts back everytime. As a side note, also since the 8.1 update my client wont reset and I cant log back in.
I have to say to wish and some others, that the real problem with confusion is it would proc. on dodge and some traits, which is wrong, and maybe did to much dam. at high cond. dam./stacks, but you had to have BOTH high cond. dam. AND stacks to do high dam. (my cond. dam. is around 700 and only did ~1100dam.@max stacks)not great. Plus the fact that confusion is the main condition the Mesmer class was built around as is evident by the number of traits that effect it. A-net has really gutted the mes. when you also consider the nerf.s to portals(twice), time warp, the izerker nerf/bug,and the glamour nerf. The confusion nerf also makes scepter even more obsolete. Torch is also gutted as the conf./and retaliation are both reduced to almost nothing, and the burning is worthless as no one is gonna run high cond. dam. for it to be decent either. All this means that it would be like telling thieves stealth skills do 50% less dam. or warr. adrenalin skills 50% less etc. on top of making some weapon choices less viable, AND like 20% of your traits are almost worthless. Added to the fact that mantras are way to clunky for any kind of PvP, lets face it a thief would kill before you can charge 2 mantras up. Plus unlike sPVP , yeah people has spent a lot of time and money on gear., this is discouraging. Its made even worse that there was and is lots of was to make confusion more balanced. Ive seen a lot of good suggestions on how it could be balance in these threads. I personally feel if they want to keep it 50% less then just increase the duration. Easy. Sure it does way less dps. but hey it lasts longer. Instead they took the lazy way out and that more than anything is disappointing since as they said they would NOT make drastic changes and instead “tweak” thing to find balance. they also said their would be no GW1 style “PVP” versions of skills in GW2. So yes, this feels wrong on lots of levels, to many people, including me.
I am very diappointed in the fact that thieves can remain stealthed and att. (ie. kill you). And when i played the new snowball areana found what? An invisible thief Killed ME!!!! Im afraid that this overused and unfair (to ALL the other proffesions) skill is going to make me stop played a game i otherwise find very evjoyable. The solution i think makes it fair would be to simply make it so that if they move or attack the stealth ends. Plain and simple. Or reduce the duration to 1 sec. max. since that still gives them , on a ten skill bar, 5 or more stealth skills.
