[OPED] My Names Not Bobby (Guard)
Garnished Toast
Happened shortly (or maybe even at) the NA daily reset.
I think the troll issue is more about he troll destroying siege rather than placing it.
I’m unclear why Alysia thinks this would make lower tiered players leave WvW. I hate having to run around three keeps and four towers trying to keep siege refreshed. This would make this unnecessary, allowing me to throw and build siege and then be able to roam or zerg without having to keep one eye on the clock.
You obviously have not seen 15 ballistas facing a keep lord.
Maybe I’m just a god but it takes me much less than 5 minutes to tap seige and then catch up to the group I had been running with. I don’t see any way this is a problem except that you’re lazy.
I am on TC but have been in a guild on CD for about 6 months for my guild missons. I am currently guesting on the server and repping the guild but getting no credit. My guild completed it and I would really like commedations. Do I have to find a new guild on my server?
Sounds like an excellent way to make 75% of the playerbase quit!
Lords vs Zergs
I’d like this but say you have an enemy zerg trying to take SMC (just as an example) and you have 50 friendlies at the lord, take him down and then an enemy zerg (say 50 again) come in, banner the lord. Now you have most of your strong players trying to fight the zerg while all the militia are trying to kill the lord. That lord will take forever to kill because you have many doing the event but not enough actually on the lord. You can make the bannering of a lord not available (as I see being asked on the forums often) but thats a different story.
Coverage Issues
This would alienate the oceanic players, while they’ll still be getting points, they’ll be worth less. Not just the points earned but the way they are seen as players. Many guilds are oceanic, and this would pretty much alienate them and make them seem like “lesser” guilds because they aren’t doing as much PPT as the other guilds during peak.
Spreading People Out
Again I like this idea but it would most likely encourage servers/large guilds to lower their play time as to look like an underdog and attract these guilds prior to the beginning of a season when in fact they are perfectly active (just not in WvW).
I feel at some point I read a dev say that they were thinking of putting it in the game (possibly about a year ago) but as I can’t find the post so it may have been just a dream.
Trying to force people to stay on a bad server will not result in players staying and helping it will only cause people to resent WvW and not help the community .There is no spies, only people who do not want to take orders from a few bad players who buy a tag then think that gives them the right to rage at others..That is where you are getting people that Sabotage, it’s not spies from other servers..Don’t blame the good servers if yours is just plain bad, put the blame where it belongs, if people do not want to follow or help there is a good reason for that..They do not like those who are controlling and commanding, commanding is not about just barking orders , if you can’t keep people’s trust then just realize you are not meant to be in command and let someone who can get people to follow take over..Again My money and I will never agree that this is a good rule no matter how many reasons are given, If we pay 30+ dollars real money then we should be able to play what ever part of the game we want.
You’re being sarcastic right?
No spies?
Lawl.
You could convert them to stars, 100 fragments + 2 obsidium shards. Its easy to do, and you could get rid of a lot of them quickly.
A trap or two? I thought traps were one per map per player lasted an hour or until triggered.
Yeah for 2 or more you have to be playing with others. I might be running solo but that doesn’t mean pugs don’t follow me to the camp. I ask if they can put one down, about 10% of the time they’ll actually put one down but its still really useful.
They already had to use their supply to build them, I don’t understand how this would make sense. I tend to place supply traps all over the opposing side as often as I can, usually in random spots in hopes of getting small groups of them.
How this would make sense?
Place them in front of the gate thats about to get hit by a golem zerg.Normal siege:
*Players take supply
*Players take supply to gate
*Players use supply to buildsomewere in between it can be countered by the trap
Golem siege:
*Players take supply
*Players use supply to build right away
*Players take golem to the gategolems can not be countered by supply trap
This trap will now have more use, and will counter golem rushers.
My plan is to prevent them from making them at all. I roam solo a lot and when ever I take a camp I put a trap or two on it.
Golems cost a lot more to make, thus why they are allowed to move. You try and bring golems somewhere and you get a zerg bigger than the group you brought, that golem is going to get stuck in combat and die. A zerg will purposely keep it in combat and slow it so it can’t get away while destroying the players around it. If a keep is properly defended the golems are going to have trouble doing anything.

I like this idea but the fact stands that people will probably abuse this. Taking fall damage just to heal yourself, or having a buddy do the same thing. If they were to separate fall damage, it could be more successful but at the moment it probably wouldn’t be possible.
Kinda a cool idea, as long as they don’t try to make each have different stats (ie one having slightly faster run, 1 slightly more health, and 1 that can carry a little more supply) I think this could be an interesting idea.
[TORK] has a pretty strong presence on Tarnished Coast, also on JQ you have [foxy].
Edit: [Choo] on TC as well

A WvW guild would be ideal. I think if you run with a small havoc squad a good number of times, you’ll start having more fun. Think about what you want with a guild, and it is probably out there.
I’ve seen many people join a WvW guild to try to farm lootbags, which isn’t going to happen all that often as you’ll be taking mostly camps and every once in a while towers. You’ll get a good number of fights, but no where near as many kills. What you will be doing is actually playing your class (instead of spamming AoE), using a more precise strategy, and my favorite part, actually seeing the specific player who is hitting you with large amounts of damage.
I don’t have much experience playing with elitists. If I find that they’re like that, I won’t play with them. End of story. But this hasn’t been that much of an issue because, as far as I have seen, this game has much fewer elitists than I have ever seen in any other game.
That all being said, if you are just doing WvW to finish your achievements for the season 2 title then I can’t really help you as you obviously don’t care about WvW at all and thus don’t really wanna be in there in the first place.
I have a lot of success on my ranger using a LB, as the 2 skill (Rapid Fire) follows them in stealth. They are going to have trouble mitigating the built up damage of the weapon skill. This being said, I run a trolly power build, which is pretty bad for general roaming besides thieves.
-Mostly skill lag, but not uncommonly rubberbanding
-Tarnished Coast
-Usually everyone notices it at the same time
-Same as above
-Doesn’t have to just be zerg vs. zerg, we can feel when zergs run by our small havoc group. Anything with 40+ players seems to do that for me.
