bl chest are an absolute disappointment too imo, call it a money grab or whatever it is that you feel like calling it, felt really tricked. I really thought that the item automatic wardrobe unlock was made so that you can choose any skin/of the item that you want especially those that are no longer obtainable in game. that’s why you can preview the choices you can make but lo and behold it’s hidden in another BS RNG crap that would give you an even crappier drop of item. I think this update should be removed case tbh id be more than willing to return back all the items i got from this recent BSchest so i could get back the gems i’ve spent really Miniature drop? and really endless batwing? how worthless can it even get…absolute disappointment. it would’ve been better if they just sold it just like the outfits and such but RNG behind an RNG rip off, deceit, and really crappy.

Fast Attune swap burst damage is really the best play for s/f for def. And s/wh offense type of ele never really felt a lacking in damage esp on a zerk/marauder, I play mine with lightning rod trait arcane for faster attune recharge/water for more damage and survivability then tempest for cc and 2 glyphs of summon and watch those cc/lightning rod combo drop like theres no tomorrow…you just gotta learn to move a lot and not just depend on your AA, i only use aa for aggro and when all other skills are in cooldown…at least pve experience wise for me. Damage mitigation arcane shielding and frost aura are your bestfriend condi removal trait yourself with water and regen condi removal and you wont worry about taking DS. As for gale screw that 1enemy kb skill with 40 sec cd lol

Scepter imo isnt made for autos more like fast attune swap still its best forte we’ll keep praying for ele scepters aa to get reworked until then well get by…

Try on a zerk gear + might rune/dps runes/vit runes:

weapon sigils: sigil of fire so it can give a few burst/force for damage/ruthlessness to gain might when interrupting foes

air attune : down mid down
tempest: down – down/up – down/up
trait of your choice: fire prefer…up, down, down

utility:
signet of fire
glyph of lesser elemental
shout of your choice
Glyph of elementals

Main focus is on air scepter/warhorn and overload super fun build imo, keep spamming 2 and 3 in air while channeling air 1, you cast an extra lightning skill everytime you interrupt a foe when you use wh air4, overload air and glyph of elemental stun. Plus you get to be in range away from those nasty rolling dino’s, only bad is too much health loss when aggroed by a lot of mobs

What i like about the new legendary staff is its reference to edgar allan poe’s poem the raven, i was thinking that ive heard the word before somewhere and thanks to google for confirmation that it was the only word that the raven says in the poem, pretty epic imo so im def. Gonna be getting it, but the gift req.s are a bit confusing i dont wanna be forced to pvp just so i can make one...wvw i can handle but forced pvp is like putting a bad taste in my mouth-_-...

Now this thread is what druid is all about!!! i’m also speccing almost the same build as the op. but opted for nature magic, marksmanship and druid instead!!

chose seed of life for the druid just to give it a more plant based feel to it, instead of natural stride. have the warhorn for that

nature magic cause surviving is important for me

Nah people saying druid is just for healing is not playing it right…learn your evades and dodge skills…

You don’t need a maxed out healing stat to play as a druid, you can play it like a staff mesmer, you can still focus on condi, power stats with minor healing.

Equip runes that benefit on the low cooldown of your elite’s glyphs and survival, i never had any problems playing it as a fact i think im going to ditch ranger bows and use staff instead.

And finally ooh those cc and movement impairing skills are awesome kb/daze/immob cripple and lotsa bleeding, I could probably wear perplexity runes just for those effects.

Q: (a kind one^^) how exactly can you remove or give a solution to replace the zerker meta mentality when it is as of now the best and only sought after i think meta build req. for speed clearing etc. And still maintain speed run? Play fast? Simply ignore? You wont read other people just say “speed run lf valkyries, rabids, sinisters” now dont you oh wait maybe you can? Can you?

The solution i can think of right now to adapt to this meta thing is if the devs would make a limit to an armor stat type to just 2 or 3 sets each armor type, the reason for this im saying is bec. right now some people who sports meta run in a full zerk builds are becoming outcasters and that i think is game breaking, in a sense to see people post in the lfg tools to link their zerk gears or dont join gives a negative impact on players mentality pressuring others to just go for a zerk path anyways cutting the idea of diversity. Full Zerk meta also offer the highest offense in game and that shouldnt be because as the game stands for no stat or class should be superior than the other, most of the defense and support stat types are already gone and almost becoming non existent but the offense part on this game is still prevalent so there should be a disparity and typing on each armor stat types which types should be offense, which should be defense and or support gears to make them more in balance with the idea that no build variety should be stronger or better than the other just like the concept of this long uncontrollable argument of whether to run a full zerker build for optimization or to be more diversed on our choices for a more flexible and engaging game play is really dividing the community and a solution has to be found and i think that combining the best of both ideas can be a key for this, then a more balancing for the direct damage, condition damage and crit damage approach should be assessed.

Ex. 2 zerk gear + 2 non zerk gear + 2 non zerk gear /
3 zerk + 3 non zerk (or anything that doesnt make anyone use a full set gear of anything)

Bec. As ive read and i do agree, why are these armor types where even created if only a set of zerk becomes the real flavor and the only optimal set in game? I want to taste something different too other than the sweet tatse of success and speed runs.

Weapons:
- i like staff 3,4,5 though i hope they make 3 be like a whirl finisher and they definitely need to change the auto-attack it’s just clunky and sad as in really sad….
-i like mace and axe combo effects and how stacking might with it is easy plus the aoe’s so yummy
-hammer…well range with it is fine…but at least make the animation more like sonic booms or mist blades the auto attacks are just bad as well as the effect really 1 target you swing a hammer for crying out loud

Jalis Legend:
-Heal is fine
-Forced Engagement should be at least 3 targets and give toughness cause what’s the point of taunt if mobs dont really move at you forcibly.
-Vengeful hammer is ok, works well wih staff 5 and 3.
-Inspiring reinforcement is just bad with the delay in giving stability it should be more of an autocast like other stabilities, instead of that brick thing why not make it be like the necros stability skill the effect is good but the time it takes to set it for the ability is just bad.
-great dwarf is fine as well.

Mallyx Legend:
-Not much of a complain here, i just wish they would give more focus on the Unyielding anguish more and as i’ve posted and said it is the most unique skill that a revenant have in their utility. << works wonderfully with mai too.

Ventari Legend:
-Ventari ventari ventari…only thing i like is the unlimited shield/projectile destroyer other than that everything else needs a buff and an offense, healing is low, if it could at least have an offensive parts on the healing like immobilize or cripple foes while giving swiftness, grant quickness and slow and more regen or daze/blind would definitely make up for its lackluster appeal in usability.

Traits:
- Of the 4 traits currently implemented i just had this idea that corruption seems to be the odd one out by name at least that doesn’t fit well with the bunch of traitlines as it somehow is just a ripoff of a necromancer’s utility type. Could at least name it to Temptation. Since you have Retribution, Salvation, Invocation and if the last trait is related to Shiro tagachi might as well name it to something close to Betrayal or Desire.
other than that the traits are ok so far.

Others:
-Taunt mechanic needs work
-Skill charge needs work
-Energy regen is annoying

Unyielding Anguikitten
his skill, if they would focus more on skills like unyielding anguish with its displacement and shadow-stepping can be a real deal and fun to play with in pve.
-the skill cooldowns are quite a pain and the energy regen is so slow,
-needs more mobility
-taunt is the revenants bestfriend

I think unyielding anguish, give revenants more flavor i kinda like it with the displacement and shadowstepping aoe combo minus stealth (staff and mace axe combo superb btw) by far the best i’ve seen for a class it’s like a shadow ninja warrior class it really needs more displacement skills, and well it can have a bad effect on pve teams with enemies randomly being placed around the aoe but that’s why you have taunts to work up for that

Ok just to confirm…I’m no longer getting disconnected and my connection doesnt drop anymore found out it was a faulty wiring on my isp’s end. hope you all will be able to get your game back on.

Still been having this error for almost a week now same issues, same answers from support and solutions not working had my isp replace my modem as well…if it’s really per individual case/router/connection then why are we all having this same error codes right now???

I’m also getting the same issue, never had this kind of problem before. I’ve done everything that the tech support told me to do from disabling antivirus/firewall, increased my pc memory, called my isp, checked my router, redownload client, guest to another world disabled windows programs etc. to no avail… I’m just getting furious and kittened that i disconnect every 5-10 min. or so at times even less. I even set my settings to the lowest possible and i still get error codes and my connection drops to oblivion and whenever i close the client all goes back to normal…

Boomerang. Atlatl. Blowpipe. Brass knuckles (Kilroy!). Bullwhip (yakwhip?).

Heck, why not the classic ray gun. Seems like something an enterprising asura might create. With crystal power packs that store magical energies which can be released as beams of varying effect based on which focusing lenses are used (kinda like engi kits, maybe). “Blah blah scepter and staff blah blah.” Well, blah blah right back. New animations, new skills, something at least visually different.

New racial/cultural skills —

Sylvari: Stuff Happening – the sylvari emits a mind-altering floral-scented neurotoxin which can cause an opponent to attack himself, or flee for a few seconds at the slightest hint of a breeze rustling any nearby leaves.

Norn: Call Polecat/Become the Skunk, which causes foes to flee and/or become incapacitated due to gagging. Or some sort of portable ale launcher that shoots ale into an opponents mouth, causing momentary intoxication. Alternately, the norn could take a big drink of something and gain momentary benefits. A ‘stiff drink’ skill, if you will.

Charr: The Red Dot. A device (carefully guarded secret/self destructs when a charr is defeated) worn by charr which produces a bright red dot. When a red dot is projected onto an opponent, any charr who sees it (including the charr who produced it) will immediately pounce upon that target, potentially knocking it over or interrupting it. Alternately, forgo the dot device entirely and give charr a pounce attack (or a ‘bull rush’ attack) which knocks down/interrupts a foe.

Asura: Conundrum Projector – when activated, this device analyzes the target’s behavior patterns/tactics and then projects a personalized psychoholographically distracting conundrumic image onto the retina of the target’s eye, causing the target to briefly ponder the conundrum thus presented. Highly intelligent targets might be presented with some engagingly stimulating complex differential riddle, while less intelligent target’s might see before them a choice of two nummy treats.

Human: Inappropriate Public Displays of Affection – the human activates an inflatable, barely lifelike significant other which can be pre-programmed to say things like ’O, Sweet Bee-derived Substance, you are my sunshine, my only sunshine, and should aught ill befall you, I shall surely keel over and die, die, die until I am dead from loss of your invigorating presence," which causes confusion and possibly nausea in up to ten nearby opponents (and allies).

This sylvari neurotoxin idea is awesome!!! that’s already a hylek – sylvari concoction there! it can give stun/paralyze/ or the much hated immobilize condition that prevents evasion though that’s too racial centered. keep the ideas coming you never know when a dev/mod might pop in and read this thread!

> New race is certainly out of the picture as of now, though i would love to play the hylek kodan and ogre. Though I do have this odd idea regarding the connections of races in tyria as i see it in arah…like:
jotun > norn/mursaat > sylvari /giganticus lupicus >charr (this one is laughable but yeah) / seer > human and forgotten > asura. My point is seeing if this races will return to the land of tyria would be epic awesome, other classes i think as how scarlet puts into her doodle arts are really somewhat connected obviously, and among the top choices of players when it comes to race are basically the tengu, skritt, quaggan, dwarves, hyleks. With that being said, lets just hope for the best for the anet team to really surprise us with their work and hope they make it fast.

I am still scratching my head on that “Monkey King mini,” though it’s a mini, I don’t quite understand why it is in game lore-wise i really don’t get it. Yet, looks to me like a new race idea, uses a bo staff for a weapon which is a new weapon and could possibly be a new class too me and more like a grawl connection than that of a human monkey one….im still confused as to why is it in game…maybe the monkey’s of maguuma has evolved too just a thought.

Ok…im writing this message now to inform the other players affected that i happily got my account back after a day of no-playing…so don’t lose hope guys!!! thanks to all players who initiated this and ask for the support people’s help, of course now that i’m a happy norn again i wish you guys could have more patience with this matter…if it is clear that there’s no issue you’d get your account back…although i know the feeling at first which is depressing. JUST BE PATIENT….“coz it’s a talent” and thanks to arenanet for the quick fix…and lastly, I’m still waiting for the reason how and why it happened coz it’s really really scary…if this was a mad king post-halloween trick then it definitely got me….!

Am still waiting patiently for a response for my ticket…could it be a prank report that got us banned as botters because of that report user button, but im not sure how that thing work too, i only see it in mail especially if there are gold sellers spamming msgs in my mailbox?? it’s really almost impossible for accounts to be hacked now i assume because of the log in authentications and what not…i don’t know how long i’m gonna wait for this to be fixed but it’s really frustrating…i even talk a lot with my friends in-game so this is really maddening. dunno who else to talk to regarding this matter but since it’s already up in the forums im sure this’ll get fixed in time…but i really am starting to get worried to death knowing my account is permanently banned because of an issue i did not commit and it’s depressing…

I really just have to reply to this topic right now because i can’t take my mind off of this account problem issue that i was wrongfully accused into…I almost exploded mad just seeing my account being banned for using bot and it’s really heart breaking, i was playing normally too…went to kitchen to eat lunch then boom! when i got back i had serious panicking moment trying to understand what happened…i even vented out my anger on Facebook which was my bad and i apologize for it before i found this post in forums…i just hope that this sort of circumstances gets addressed to players in-game mail or account-mail if it is already affecting greater number of people so as to avoid rage posts, confusion and etc. I’m still waiting for support response while doing this because i really got nothing else to do for today…
