I meant join a guild as an option. I mostly just want to find someone or a group of people to play the game with.

Ok so I bought this game on launch and got a character to around level 60 before I took a very long break from the game. Now I have wanted to play this game again but I wanted to start a new character.

All of my friends have quit this game more or less just to play Dota 2 which I do play also but now I always find time to play Guild Wars 2 aswell. I am looking for someone to play the game with, maybe even to join a guild. I am on the Whiteside Ridge(EU) world but I guess that doesn’t matter much because we can use guesting which seems really cool.

I have Skype if anyone prefers to use that than the in-game text chat. My Skype username is inathanlite.

I am looking for a friendly social guild that is based on PvE (but I don’t mind a bit of PvP every now and then). I am on the Ruins of Surmia EU World so the guild needs to be based there.

I have Vent, Skype and Teamspeak with a working microphone.
I am not stuck on one profession all the time, I like to play on different characters depending on my mood (probably why I don’t have a character at 80 yet :P)
I am not a very active player but I do play quite a bit and don’t plan on quitting this game any time soon, even though I play other games such as World of Warcraft and Minecraft.

Any more information about me then just ask either on this topic or in game.

I have noticed I am never in an overflow anymore, but I wouldn’t say the games dying. Maybe some players did quit, but other players like me would be hooked to this game due to it being so awesome.

Yep same here, it’s why I want to see this feature in Guild Wars 2.

Bad idea. Server resets could mean Guild Wars 2 losing players due to them getting annoyed picking the same world over and over again. Guilds and other communities will break apart.

Has anyone noticed recently, that now there are a lot of members listed as “unknown” in the guild roster?

I have, not on the names, but on the location they logged out in some of them said unknown.

You can turn that chat option off you know.

As a guild leader, this would be nice to schedule events and such.

Games that have been released recently won’t just add a trial straight away else Arenanet can lose money. A trial will most likely be added, but for sometime in the future.

yes, as a guild leader this is a must, just so you know who is active and who is inactive.

I too is a guild leader with currently 44 members, this is why I would be really happy if this feature was added.

Yeh maybe a recurring subscription feature to get gems every month instead for people who want to keep on receiving them monthly. You will be also supporting the game too.

As for trading, I think it’s been replaced by mail and the trading post so that friends can still give items; but business has to go through the trading post and be taxed. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s the only reason I can think of.

I guess this makes sence. It’s just if people decide to trade through the mail, scammers can easily scam. I haven’t actually seen or heard of it actually happen but I bet it has done.

My new guild Champions of the Light are recruiting new members of any level. We are a social guild which like to do all sorts of events. We do PvE, Leveling, Dungeons, PvP and WvW so there’s something for everybody.

My friend has set up a Vent server. So if you want to join the Vent and be able to talk to us through a microphone, you can get that information from us when you have joined the guild. We also have Skype.

Yeah this is annoying. In the main city’s, all you see in map chat is gold selling sites being advertised. Hope Arenanet do something about it.

Ok also I have found out it seems to be worse in the snow areas. Other areas it isn’t as bad but still noticeable.

Been a few hours and still haven’t managed to find a fix.

This is one of the most annoying things in guild wars, especially in dungeons.

Still can’t hurt to try, an error 7 usually means you security software is preventing you from playing.

All I did to fix this was close the client and open it, no repair needed.

Same happened to me a bit ago when a friend of mine couldn’t join my story mission.

Asura are not human so their design in footwear will be different to ours.

Try temporarily disabling any security software (Norton, AVG etc..) and try playing again, see if that helps.

I am wondering if this shadow quality I am getting is a bug or something that can’t be fixed due to my setup. Even when I put the graphics up too Best Appearance it doesn’t change.

Ok so I am getting low FPS and a few lag spikes and it is frustrating to play. I was hoping that someone could help me fix this.

My Specs:
Windows XP Service Pack 3
AMD Athlon 64 X2
ATI Radeon X1950 Series
2GB RAM

I know my specs are not the best but my friend has a way better setup than me with a HD Radeon yet he gets even lower FPS than me.

Anyway hope someone can help.
