After the Sept 9 patch, my minions started occasionally dying as I was running around the map. After some experimentation, I found that this was happening every time I crossed a boundary where my effective level changed. It also causes all the pet skills to recharge as if the pet was killed in battle, so I can’t resummon right away. Might not sound like much, but it’s extremely annoying when doing map exploration, and downright dangerous if you happen to be fighting right near a effective level boundary.
This might be related to the patch note that says re-assigning Flesh of the Master causes minions to be killed. I’m not actually re-assigning that trait, but I do have it selected, and it’s possible that the move from one effective level to another is causing the game to re-evaluate my assigned traits.
