It’s very pleasing to see other people using a “healadin” build. I’ve been using a special brew myself, and it has worked pretty good. You have to keep in mind that this is a very selfish build, and offers little to no support. Here’s my build:

I’ve been playing ranger for over 1.5k hours and this is the power build that has been the most succesful. It does lack on demand condi clear but the condi reduction is definetely noticeable. TU, SoW and Oakheart Salve gives you a very warrior-like feel. I hope you find it as useful as I have.

Now with the updates it seems CC lockdown and condies are the meta, that’s why I run that food, + it complements itself pretty nicely with Melandru runes (if you can, please buy lemongrass). NOTE: this build is the result of MY playstyle. The sword is incredible, 2 on demand evades, leap, poison, chain. You can use it defensively and offensively. To get out of trouble the combo is Hunter’s shot, for stealth, and sword 3 & 2. Warhorn provides distraction(4) and utility (5).

LB is your main source of DPS, ranger is all about positioning. We simply can’t play as we’re warriors or guardians, we are better when we’re at RANGE. I’ve been able to take pretty much all classes in 1v1 and some 1v2s. The worst matchups are condition HEAVY builds and thieves in general. Please feel free to use this build as a guide, and tweak it as you please. The important thing is to know what you want to do in WvW, support, roam, DPS, zerg, etc.

TIP: never stop moving standing ranger = dead ranger.

I’ve been playing my ranger for a lot of time now and it it wasn’t until a humble CoF Path 1 run that I noticed that the Slave Driver boss killed one of my teammates with a WHIP… Then it immediately came to my head… a new weapon for the ranger. It fits PERFECTLY our class, a MID-range weapon that deals high single target damage, cripples and whatnot. I don’t know how you guys feel about this but to me it would be AWESOME to have The Whip as a new ranger weapon. For all those who have creative minds I would really appreciate if you could give the weapon skills from 1 – 5. If we want something from Anet let’s rip it from them!!!!

That’s a sweet ranger you got there, I am pursuing to get both legendary bows but it’s taking a lot of time… I am playing a full zerker too and I feel they lack something like most popular classes. I believe the ranger is an excellent class and they are the best at what they do: RANGED damage, currently I am trying to find a build to play in dungeons and in WvW and I have come up with this:

In dungeons I use Sword/Warhorn and the SB.
In WvW I trait for power in Nature Magic and use LB/SB.

How do you have so much power? I’m sorry If I got off topic but I am also looking for something better for my ranger, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
