Women in pants, men in skin-baring armors and outfits. Not going to happen, because I suspect someone at ANet feels these are somehow psychologically threatening.
I really really want to see Scarlet Macaw wings.
I just want to know whose idea was it to give the mushrooms butts. What medication did they forget to take?
I like to call Arah storymode “Play and Pray” because you can spend over an hour in there only to be disconnected during the final fight and not be able to pick up where you were kicked out.
We’ve really needed a reconnect feature in that storymode dungeon ever since ANet turned the last PS chapter into something that could be accomplished by a single player. The downside of not having to group up is precisely this, spending an hour or more slogging through storymode, only to lose all your progress with an unfortunate disconnection.
Seriously, it’s a pain in the tukis, please consider adding a reconnect feature for solo players in the future.

My sylvari ranger, Aoisidhe: http://is.gd/aoisidhe
This one may be more complicated because of all the colors. If you think this might be worth more than 20g, don’t hesitate to ask me for more. I won’t think you’re being rude. I’d like longbow concept please.

I made a very orange colored sylvari revenant for the beta weekend, and dressed her in heavy Arah armor, because I like seeing the glow. What I wasn’t expecting was the view whenever she used her glider, and I had the camera turned just right to see it.
And not to knock it, but you know, I actually like it. I like being able to see her cheeks hanging out like that. What I don’t like is that I don’t get to see male cheeks hanging out the same way, and those of us who are inclined to like bare man cheeks are not given the equal opportunity to enjoy this unique experience.
So, all things being equal, I’d really like to see my men’s bare butts hanging out in mid-air while riding a glider, please.

I’m still not able to delete the character “We Can Rebuild Him.”
I sent in a support ticket, ANet said the problem was fixed and to try deleting it. Well, the deletion failed, and I was told to keep trying it and if I still couldn’t delete it by Monday to update my support ticket again with the relevant information.
There’s seven hours left until the clock ticks over to Monday in my timezone. So far, I still can’t delete “We Can Rebuild Him.”
Unable to delete a character, support ticket #1686251
I completed the solo player instance about two days after it was first added to the game. There were no problems then with the giants, so apparently this is a recent development.
(Somewhat related, I’ve started calling this the “Play and Pray” story instance, because if you get a Err 7 during this as a solo player, you’re screwed and have to start this again all the way from the top. Guess who got disconnected during the anti-climatic Zhaitan fight the first time around?)
do you have a character in a beta slot? if you do, delete the character in the beta slot, then try deleting the one you want to delete.
Nope, my beta slot is empty. Already checked.
I see this has been an issue in the past, but I’m having it right now.
I keep a spare slot in my account for throwaway characters, always named “We Can Rebuild Him,” and tonight I can’t delete the charr necromancer I have in that slot at the moment. I’d really like that slot back, if possible. Thanks.
So, now that Lion’s Arch is going to get fixed up and remodeled, is there any chance that Kessex Hills is going to get cleaned up as well? That lake is depressing.
As I understand it, Chinese players will be able to buy precursors and legendaries from the the gem shop in the GW2 China release. So, there’s your solution.
I’d rather keep the pay to win to a minimum in the NA/EU region.
I managed to get into GW2 and my connection now does not seem to have any problems. I’m currently waiting for Tequatl when reset rolls around so we’ll see how it behaves then. Hopefully, it’s fixed now.
I’ve submitted a ticket, Request: 502365.
I hope this gets resolved soon!
Yep, Cox cable here as well. What joy.
I don’t seem to be having the same issues with repeated disconnects in Neverwinter however.
Exactly the same for me. None of my computer’s settings have changed since last night when I last logged into GW2, and now when I try, I get disconnected with an Err 7 repeatedly. And sometimes that Err 7 turns into an Err 58 and kicks me out of the client entirely.
Good to know I’m not alone though! Hopefully this will get fixed soon.
I forgot to add to my original post, so I’ll just append another here …
I’d like the writing team to put more thought into adding elements of the Living Story with every game update. For example, I still don’t understand what Scarlet had to do with the Edge of the Mists. EotM would have been fine as a release on its own, but the Scarlet angle came off as nonsensical.
And let’s not forget the Thaumanova Fractal. Having Scarlet pop up in that just added to the no-so-exaggerated feeling that she was responsible for every bad, evil thing happening in the world. Seriously, if the player base had chosen the Abbadon Fractal instead, would the writing team have found a way to shoehorn Scarlet into that too? I really do wonder.
Not every update requires a tie-in to the Living Story, and we’ve seen that with the Super Adventure Box, which thankfully Scarlet never invaded.
Hey, Bobby, thanks for stopping in. For an idea, look at this quote by John Scalzi.
“This is what happens when the Narrative takes over. Things quit making sense. The laws of physics take a coffee break. People stop thinking logically and start thinking dramatically.”
— John Scalzi, “Redshirts”
Having the Captain’s Council ignore a city-sized airship on their doorstep was dramatic, having them ignore Marjory and Kasmeer’s warnings about Scarlet’s attack is dramatic. This resulted in the unnecessary deaths of thousands of people for the sake of drama rather than logic. Restoring the Captain’s Council to power without any criminal charges for negligent mass homicide is drama. Do you see where this is going?
Also, my chief complaint is time. ANet takes fifteen months to do what Star Trek Online can do in six months, and STO can bang out two seasons of a multi-chapter story arc in that time. The problem I saw is that the writing team thought they were writing a book, when video game narrative structure doesn’t resemble book structure, or at least a good book.
I do commend you for putting more effort into characterization, such as Marjory and Taimi. Now give them a story and a plot that doesn’t underserve them.

I went to check it out today. Caithe’s dialogue addresses Scarlet all in the present tense, and Turma is still more upset about the Aetherblades attacking the Dragon Bash instead, of, y’know, burning LA to the ground.
I assume nothing else about that dungeon path has changed. Only it’s kind okittenward that Slick and Sparki and a bunch of enemy NPCs are taking orders from the hologram of a dead person.
I’m having the same problem purchasing through PayPal, but if I enter my debit card information manually, I can purchase gems without an issue. Changing letter case — upper or lower — doesn’t fix it.
I’d much much prefer to use PayPal than my debit or CC, and I’m not sure what’s going on here.
After killing the first mob and rounding the corner on P3, we fell right through the floor where the floor grate should normally be and into the lava. However, we were not burned by the lava at all. So we’re assuming this is a unintended bug, and I don’t recall seeing any changes for SE in the patch notes recently.
I recently used a total makeover kit on my old thief and renamed him. Now I think he’s worthy of posting. Presenting … ¡El Vaquero!
Things I can use as a chef:
Cheese Wedge
Loaf of Bread
Stick of Butter
Things I CANNOT make as a chef:
A Grilled Cheese Sandwich
What gives?
Please include the Moot among the Legendaries that were promised an update on 3 September but did not recieve it.

The Moot was promised a GFX update on Sept 3, but as I’ve documented on my Tumblr here and here that does not seem to be the case.
I’m not the only one affected either. Could we Moot users get an answer for this?

I buy a lot of stuff through the gem store. I have no problem doing so as it supports ANet in making more things I enjoy.
THAT being said …
If I’m going to spend real money, I expect there to be a little give and take. The Dragon Bash weapons are the first RNG weapons I’m actually motivated for and love, so of course I bought crates. I managed to get one weapon ticket, thankfully, but one ticket out of 25 rich coffers is a ridiculously low return.
I’ve opened probably 1500+ regular dragon coffers in search of a second weapon ticket and got nothing but lots of candy and fireworks and six mini risen knights to show for my trouble. At this point, I’ve largely given up getting a second ticket, and resorted to just selling my coffers to raise the cash I need for my legendary. Seriously, when someone else can open up 20 regular coffers and get a ticket versus another person who opens 1500-2000+ coffers and gets nothing, the RNG is seriously seriously skewed.
If I’m going to support you, ANet, I’d like some love back too? I had no problems purchasing the limited Braham and Rox weapon skins through the gem store, and I’d be happy to lay out more gems for the jade weapons if that were an option.
(edited by jciardha.1936)
I’ve gone through about three and a half full stacks of regular dragon coffers. De nada.
I do, however, have massive load of Zhaitaffy that I neither want nor need, as the holographic wing cover doesn’t appeal to me. Was it so hard to program that the devs couldn’t set up a candy exchange program for a weapon ticket?
Just wanted to share this from a little bit earlier, where TC had just stormed Stone Mist Castle when ANet decided to shut down the WvW servers for the new build.
We have the best timing, ever.
I love how the male version of the shorts help complete my human warrior’s casual “dudebro” look, but I don’t understand the allegedly equivalent female version. It’s like it was created specifically to show off as much leg as possible, without regards to the actual aethestics. Like, what are those flappy things on the front and back? If you’re going for a loincloth, just make a loincloth.
I mean, you give me this, and don’t allow me to have Daisy Duke equivalents for my guys.
I agree with the OP that there need to be more casual legwear choices, not just for human females, however, but for all genders and races. The shirts are often lovely, the pants leave a lot to be desired.
And a clothes dresser, or something. My bank mule’s groaning under all the weight.

I play on Tarnished Coast (NA) and I was absolutely crushed to learn I would not be able to play with my friends from the EU side when the specifics of guesting was announced. Some of us have been playing together since the Guild Wars 1 rollout, and it’s painful to be split up like this.
I would love it if Anet could create a server with no WvW or PvP or guild-creation abilities that anyone from anywhere could guest on.
Another glowless sylvari here!
I bought one of the discounted self-style hair kits to use on my female sylvari engineer and after that I noticed she no longer glowed at night. I ended up wasting four total makeover kits to try to restore the glow. One time I used a kit to turn my engineer male, adjusted the glow, and used another kit to restore him to a her. It did not work. My female sylvari remained glowless.
So I used one final total makeover kit to change my sylvari engineer to male because I missed the glow so much, and he’ll remain male until whenever ANet fixes this problem. At least my engineer’s name is gender neutral enough to pull this off.
I reported this to ANet using the in-game bug report, but I will file a bug report at the website when I have more time. Hopefully I’ll be refunded for those makeover kits.
