Thanks Yak’s Bend, for double teaming us, constantly, all the time, while Crystal Desert’s borderlands almost always remained untouched. I guess taking stuff from a server that can’t challenge you is fun. We had second place for a while, but even a server as skilled as ours can’t hold off 100x the amount of players we have.
Next time, attack Crystal Desert more.

Haven’t seen [ECHO] yet, but then I haven’t been playing much this week.
I thoroughly enjoy fighting [GH]. It’s always an interesting fight because they have this never ending supply of nasty little tricks they can pull.
That [Seks] guild takes turtling to a whole new level. I’m not bashing them at all, btw. They are REALLY good at what they do! They are really disciplined. It is a lot harder than it may appear to get 30+ people to stay close to a commander. It takes a lot of bulldog-style leadership to do it.
I think you hit on a big reason why I’m objecting to archer. We have a number of quality commanders taking charge. Its pretty kitten unfair to dismiss them as lol zerg.
I think what Jehk means is that you/EB only knows us as an offensive server because offense is the only interesting thing to do in this tier, because our opponents rarely attack. When YB was originally climbing the ranks and in T3 (Nov-Dec 2012) we were known as a defensive server (just ask TC). So, YB is a naturally defensive server that happens to be bored in its tier.
It also has a lot to do with coverage of both the map and timezones.
Why is holding 5-15 pts + farming the enemies zerg meaningless? It took yak 25 people, 3 trebs, 2 balistas and three arrow carts to retake a supply camp from what I think was 10 people, I would say those are the people contributing to the loss of your servers score sir. Let me ask you something too, what do you see SM as for yourself? Do you see it as the 30 points only that will add to the ppt and merely just siege away brainlessly? We go for SM because it is fun and when we hold it, it takes an army to get it back, and by that time we are tired and fat from all the loot we farmed.
Back capping. Do you understand how the score updates? Do you understand what those people holding you in are allowing the rest of us to do? Do you understand how little effort is required to take points when you’re pinned down / turtled like that? Small groups often take a number of points.
I’ve rarely seen effective counter siege from ebay so the biggest benefit from SM is moot. We just flip it so it’s defenses don’t get built up. Right now you guys are trying to siege OL from vista hill while we hold SM. That’s brainless.

Honestly? As much as it grosses me out I agree with Archer. Holding SW camp and badge farming is great fun. We’ve had a similar situation where Kaineng had to bring like 30 people + siege to dislodge us. It was a lot of fun and our guild learned a valuable lesson. While I think ole boy should chill out on the forum trolling, I don’t think anyone should bash the guy for playing how he wants. He likes small team stuff. That’s his thing and he has fun doing it.

Now you are just picking apart things to make them sound nice. I never said competition in terms of score, I said in open field combat. So you sent 25 people to take 1 supply camp while the others were busy doing what? Because it was the only red spot on the map and we held it for around 2 hours until yaks just gave up and sat outside bay. So fielding 25 people is easy for you then? So my point is proven, it’s just numbers?
Effective use of our numbers is the point. Something you and ebay aren’t doing. I know you like to cry zerg but ebay has been fielding solid numbers during NA primetime. Try leaving your comfort zone. How often do you work with the rest of your server?

Nice fight on EBBL tonight. Almost had Bay on numerous occasions, but I think EB must have summoned their entire WvW force to save it… barely.
We actually didn’t have that many people. There were hardly enough people to man the siege for the most part. The only reason it seemed like we had so many probably was since everyone who died would use the waypoint whenever it reset in the bay, and that waypoint is right there in the lords room where all the fighting was going on. You guys would nearly wipe us then we would revive in force enough to surprise those not expecting 25 more people suddenly to be in the fight.
We also had groups protecting dolyaks, running supply from garrison, etc etc the whole time… almost completely ignored.
Naw, I could count you guys pretty well whenever you pushed out into the open, you had at least 40 for sure, more if you count the runners and yak escorts. Meanwhile you lost everything else outside your BL, so the rational conclusion to me is that all your dudes were defending Bay.
Speaking of runners and escorts, yeah we did kitten that up pretty bad. I think everyone was having too much fun farming bags to go do the chores. =/ You guys are still pretty squishy out in the open but you’ve definitely improved your keep defense, props.

Laughable, nice flame bait though. EB has some guilds that can wipe our pugs, and apparently you can defend 1700 Keeps if you summon your entire weekend NA primetime force of “20 people.” But YB dominates open field equal numbers, when our main guilds are actually present.

CL plays different maps than I do (due to guild sizes)- so I can’t speak for them but – I can say its would be pretty impressive to see you regularly beat Rawr or War open field in group fights.

Ebay’s biggest weakness is their over commitment to defense. I’ve seen your server turtle so many times. Sure you hold the point. However, its comes with noticeable point drop from losing other stuff. Sounds like you’re contributing to that.
Uh..theres maybe 8 people taking and holding this point..and continually farming you, so I’d say we contribute just fine? Holding Points, Check. Killing enemies, Check. And last time I checked, I don’t care about the ppt. Go figure, I do it subconsciously.

Which EB guilds are you so proud of? GH, FTF, pk are easy wipes in the open. Hell, our pugs can do that half the time.
I’m curious, were any of your main guilds in EBG last night? Or the night before? If so, then you might want to rethink the above statement. If not, then I suggest some of you show up tonight because you pugs aren’t having a very good time.
Not much of anyone was in EGB last night (at least until I went to sleep). Some treb operators. Some spotters. Handful of pugs defending SM. Seems to have worked despite “not having a good time” because SM finally just flipped now. Good to see that CD is finally awake.
