Guild Wars 2

Hey, in the recent patch, the archives seemed really interesting and me and my friend would like to play guildwars 1 to learn a bit better, but the complete game is quite pricey in the ncsoft store. Could there be a sale on it or something by any chance? Would be great.

Well, new characters or double the amount of skills. More variability like gw1 had.

I would like to see return of Ritualists, Dervishes would be okay too.

mesmer doesnt use chaos magic? He is using illuminations and mind twists, chaos magic is a whole new element of magic.

Dervish (well duh) from gw1, the beloved class everyone liked and would be heavy armor and scythe weapon. (or bring paragon/ritualist to medium armor)

There is so much lore to this game that its insane that living story adds a new level to a dungeon. I mean, since new dlc isnt coming anytime soon, so would be epic to have a living story story line with something deep lore, new permanent area and such. This game has the best lore I’ve crossed, and i really want more of it. Like multi-storyline mission to fight mordemoth or primordus at fire isles. Please, you got an epic lore. Use it for more than new dungeons or election of some sort.

Yeah but is it ok for me to be ingame racist, as in if i would hate charrs with my human character. I mean it makes the lore richer. But still racism is wrong and can be mirrored to real life racism. But it makes the game quite different in the terms of lore and since we are in the internet, people can be easily offended but can they be offended in charr-human racism?

So yes, ive been wondering this for a while and now im wondering, is it ok to be racist in the game as in human not liking charr/asura/norn/sylvari just in lore mind. I, my self am a lore rat and enjoy all the lore there are. So if i meet another race lore rat and we start to discuss is it ok to be racist since its just a game and happens ingame world. Since for example humans and charrs dont like each other? This is not a serious thread but just wondering

I have. Let’s explain a bit. a lot of young people say OMFG or F….. yeah! This is however a generation thing. For those young generations it is rather normal to say that, and I know it isn’t said to intend the maining of a celestial being engaged in reproductional behaviour.

However for some older generations it is not a normal thing to say.
On top of that it is only popular by the younger generations in what is called ‘modern’ world. In more traditional community’s it is still seen as very unrespectfull.

Last off all, for many christians, the meaning behind it is offensive and it violates their believes.

This is a game played by many generations from all over the world and with all kind of backgrounds. Guilds are there to group together with people who are like you. But when talking in public you are kindly asked to communicate in a way that is not disturbing by anyone. On top of that you actually agreed to do so when you agreed with the user agreement.

Personally I don’t have an issue with the use of this word, but I totally can see how others can get shocked by it. So thanks for understanding.

thanks for the nice answer, it is just quite rare to find a Spark precursor that costs over 500 gold, so my first reaction is to do a small freakout. I sended gw2 support a question to get the exact words that got me banned to see if those were the ones.

So if i would get a proper reason for ban if it wasn’t that.

So i found a precursor and spammed in chat like “OMFG OMFG OMFG” and then the game says “you have been suspended for 72 hours”. Seriously? Would nice to know a good reason for suspend. please

I said the “OMFG” 4 times in /say chat and in guild chat

Happened to me a couple of times when putting cooking stuff in the collectibles it eats them. Some of the items are parts of recipes but cant be put there which makes the character to eat them, just a small thing.

-1. There is no point in race change, it would totally ruin the whole meaning of personal story and the game. You made your choices,now live with them.

I don’t think its a good idea to “make your own book”. Someone just reads it and copies it and sells it.

So yes, i’ve come to this request by thinking a bit and such. Since the lore has holes between gw1 and gw2, the books would help with it. I personally enjoy the lore of guildwars 2 a lot, I enjoy reading lore articles and watching lore videos and such, so you could add a library or Book items (consumable, read it over and over again). Would really give some deeper information about a few things. All the lore “books” we have is gw2 wikipedia. Wouldn’t it be a good idea?

Let’s open this discussion! The last update has shown it’s possible to make adjustments to the point standings. Any additional points or freebies would be the icing on the cake!

well, you got all the items and now that we have achievement chests the 200 achievement point bonus is nice, quit complaning. You don’t need anything extra.

Yeah but wouldnt it be epic to invite friends to your hall and brag with all the trophies and customs? Like hall off the monuments but taken even further, and the larger chest price is just ridiculous. So it would be nice for Arenanet make home instances something to brag about or work on.

So the home instances are now basicly a waste of space on the map, arenanet should consider adding more stuff to affect the home instance with money, missions ect. Like adding a living story section that is somehow based on home instance. Also another thing you could add there would be like buying a house. With some “trophies” like zephyr sanctum model, eye of zhaitan statue ect. And also you could buy chests with in-game money (gold). Would work like a bank but you cant access it from anywhere else than your home. The bank is small and this would be a nice addition. Currently there is absolutely nothing interesting in the home instance and i think there are some great opportunities. And some other things you could add there with, well, like achievements.
For example the dragon bash would get you a Dragon fountain in the middle of the village. You could custom it with with different trophies and stuff you have done in your characters life.
