I’ve forgot if I’m red or blue more than once. This doesn’t affect targeting cause yes, bright red names over their heads gives it away faster than the color of their armor. I know what color I want to turn the points into based on what side I spawn (although this wouldn’t help if they roll out new maps) but I just don’t see how else you would know that the red things should be blue (or vice versa) if you don’t have something besides the scoreboard to direct you.
All that said, I’m sure I just came off sounding bad as hell, and I do think the main point everyone is making of unlocking skins and dyes and having it not matter has tons of weight. I’m positive I’d adapt anyway. So signed.
Agreeing so hard. I keep forgetting I have glory boosts because when I do PvE content I put them in storage, and it’s not like there’s not a spot for them in the glory lockers. (Same with [rank] finishers)
I’m sure there’s something about keeping PvP items entirely separate from your PvE items, but I feel like players new to heart of the mists (let alone PvPing) get really confused. I spend more time explaining how to spec gear or salvage stuff from chests than I do talking strategies and such.
Yeah because what we do now is super deep
-mash 1 until they come to finish you
-interrupt their stomp
-cast your 3rd spell when it is up
-revive yourself if no enemies are around
This person gets stomped then waits for a 19 second res every time.
Also,
-revive yourself if no enemies are around
Do you ever get downed with no enemies around? What you trip and hurt your ankle and lose all your health? Holy cow, sounds rough.

see attached. the armageddon coat i got in my first deer chest or a gold tournament chest, can’t remember.
but (not counting the rune obviously) you can CLEARLY see how much better the stats are than the default light armor coat that you start with/the vendor sells for free. I have a large advantage over people.
trolling aside, no. there’s not. you just unlock better skins. all gear is equal.
So you want PvP with less decision making? There’s actually a dynamic to downed state, your suggestion will make downed state the following:
-Mash 1 if you have allies near you
-2 if someone is picking you up
-3 if respawn is coming up soon.
There’s also no reason for anyone stomping you to use quickness/stability.
Either way, not only do you lose downed health over time already, a 4x faster “bleed out” would theoretically make holding the points closer to respawn (mine/henge,etc) harder because people would respawn whenever they want to. Like aydenunited said, leaving you in downed until right at :59,9, :19 is an actual thing that takes consideration.
We are…
*Jaime Le Cheval [HRSE] (We’re totally english and we’re not actually creepily obsessed with horses don’t worry)
*Mostly on Fort Aspenwood
*About 10 members
*Mostly active 7PM-2AMPST (9P-4A CDT)
We need…
*PvP OR PvE players, we’ll make a group/help fill one up for almost anything!
*18+ preferred, not to protect minors like we’re crazy foul mouthed, I just haven’t met one in a gaming community that I didn’t instantly dislike, feel free to join anyway and prove me wrong!
*PvP players that don’t get all angry over losses or cry “OP” over every little thing. At least lean more towards being constructive, positive and willing to work to improve than making enjoying the game difficult for others.
If you want to know more…
I don’t want to give you a 5 paragraph essay about the history of the guild or how we also play or used to play completely different games that aren’t even GW2. I’m not gonna throw another website at you that you’re expected to participate in if you join the guild, you’re here to play and improve in GW2 and the less time you spend shopping for guilds the more you can spend in game =)
That said, it’s probably worth explaining that we’re obviously a small group, mostly people who have known each other for a while and even some who kick it IRL. This makes things entirely non-bureaucratic, as long as you’re not creepy or hard to work with, you’ll have a home with horse.
We’ve been doing grind sessions in free tournaments to practice and learn as much as we can and I can only see that becoming more dedicated as the dust settles from the game’s launch and PvP modes get more fleshed out.
