Guild Wars 2

Hey People

I have been thinking about getting a new computer, mostly because many of the newer games are beginning to run slower on my old one and because im beginning to miss seing the great world of gw2 in high grafics. I hoped someone in here could tell me what i should look for in a new computer to make games run smoothly while still looking great.

i dont know if this means anything, but because of the beta we might already have the first map and the specialisations downloaded. this could mean that we only need to downloade very little before we can enter HoT and that we can downloade the other stuff in the background, this would mean that it would take some time to downloade the maps we have not seen, but that we can start playing relativly fast after release,

There is theory that the gods and the dragons er part of some kind of naturel wheel, where the gods creates and the dragons destroy, also it seems that in the story the gods have left the world and nobody knows why, another theory out there is that because we are killing the dragons, we are disrupting this cirkel because of the weird scene in scarlets machine (this might just be Mordremoth waking up) but as far as I know we dont have any solid answers yet, but it would be a cool expansion some day I think.

I really like these idea´s i think it would be really cool to have some cultural outfits, with greater ties to the personal story, maybe given norn a more shaman/hunter outfit with alot of fur and hunting trophy´s (building on their seeking glory culture). I would really like to see more outfit inspired by the humon gods. since the Balthazar outfit i´ve been hoping for a Melandru outfit. I really think this could be awesome. but i think its very unlikely. Maybe they could do like one outfit that change depending on the characters story so they could sell many of the same item. But that might be to much work.

I have now read most, if not all the post on this forum, and would now like to give my opinion.
First I´ll say i´m for the concept of player housing. I have played both wildstar and LOTRO, both games with great housing. One of the reasons I think it would be a great feature is that it would add a lot of end-game, like legenderies, it would give you a reason too go out in the world and do stuff to get different things for your house. I have been playing GW2 for about 3 years now, and currently I feel like im running out of stuff to do. The main reason i log in every day is to get ready and play the next living story update. I think housing wouild be a great way to add a lot of lifespan to GW2.

im the open world you will find animals with the word Juvenile in their name, these animals are non-hostile (i think) you have to interact with these to tame them. this might also help http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Pet

this is an outfit from the halloween vendor in LA, it costs 3 candy corn cubs, your picture is the female version. but the male version looks very different. a little like the witch outfit from other halloweens.

just to give my opinion, I see the mad king as a bad joke on the english king Henry the 8th. who had around 6 wives and kill most if not all of them (sry if my english historie is bad). I hope this can give a new view on Mad King Thorn.

hey I think i can help a littel, 2 years back when i startet playing GW2, I was paralyzed in the hole left side of my body. my salution to this was to by a http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-naga by doing this i could keybind WASD to the mouse and that way both fight by clicking the skillbar with my mouse, and move by using the keys on the side of the mouse.

I hope this helps and could remove some of the limits you may expirience.

hey just want to add a little thought to this thread.

many complain that Thrahearn steals the show, and in some way he does, but for me this really seems as part of the story, the PC has just left home and is finding itself in a whole new world. it has just meet destiney edge, and is only beginning to create its own legend. to me the living story is were the PC is meant to shine, we now know the world and all the people in it, and we are now forming our own story, to me the personel story is a story about destineys edge, Orr, and the ending of a story that startet before the game. the living story is our story which will forge our legend.
