Yes you can’t throw them anymore, i thought this would ruin the set for me but i think that it has opened the door to a really fun playstyle of condi/survival/ trap bunker. Incidentally I’m finding this is working out really effective in solo queue games, with the exception of some guardians.
I would reccomend people give it the benefit of the doubt and try it out.
Just tested out one of my new pvp shatter builds and thought i would share:
Illusions: 3,1,2
Dueling: 1,2,3
Domination: 3,1,1
Thought i would try Imagined Burden instead of mental anguish along with shattered strength for a bit and found i was nearly always keeping 10/15+ might stacks, sometimes a lot higher.
Safe to say, i like the patch.
Could also add to some fun boonshare builds people have toyed with in the past.
First off ill just say i havent played competitively. But whilst i have only recently become more hardcore into PvP i hope to think i’m far from a poor spvp player.
I main a mesmer in pvp but also play thief and mesmer well. I’m familiar with rotations, core mechanics and the roles of my classes in game.
I have got tired of team queue hot joins with poor communication and a lack of regard for any kind of rotations so am thinking getting involved in a more structured team will both benefit me as a player and make my experience more enjoyable. However i was on the NA server JQ since launch and decided to get a new EU account for pvp
Most importantly i want some other people to have fun with in PvP
