You know they have this cool thing called the “home-run derby” that people love to watch, showcasing how well a guy can hit the ball. Basketball has this cool slam dunk contest they do, showcasing how far and high someone can dunk.

Open field fighting is that for GW2. It has nothing to do with bad and good… but sitting behind a wall and spamming 123 on an arrow cart is about as interesting as watching my cat lick itself. I fail to use how guarding a keep with siege shows even one iota of ability.

Ever noticed how often the home run derby and dunk contests take place? Once a year for MLB and the NBA.

The dunk contest nowadays mainly consists of players most people haven’t heard of because the superstars consider it a waste of time. The home run derby is a little better off in that area but you still get several players every year declining to participate.

last night in SOS BL, there Ark, VR, iLL and some guys from maguuma trying to roam but was out gunned by BG roamers and we decided to hang out in front of their spawn, so we got a good fight club going in front of their spawn, i think we were 5 at that time then they became 10, after 15mins what they decided was had 2 guys near to each us 5 and started to kill us while watching. oh well. there goes we love to duel eh.

actually the two BT guys started to attack everyone and it just turned into a brawl eventually leading to BG running back into their tower

yeah the BT norn war and the other one, and the iLL ele started the brawl, was having a good time watching that ark mes do her work.

Don’t get me wrong, its great to see guilds like Ark, Cern and Pyro come out to fight, its a breath of fresh air after fighting the turtle zergs on BG. But don’t don’t wipe then qq on the forums and post BS SS’s that of us 30-60 minutes after the fact.

We wiped you at south bay, not north east..with a lot less than that, along with a TC zerg. This is the zerg we pulled together after the pug commander DC’d, probably 30 minutes later.

You seemed to put in a lot of effort to make this though, so I’ll just give you gold star and a smile and hope you forget about it by morning.

A lot less than that is definitely 25 + 15 or more pugs. We peaked at like 16 all night, iirc.

It was 25 total about 19 Choo..if you had 16 people would would you push into us and then proceed to QQ about wiping via whispers and forums? Confused.

Switching to the newest FotM isn’t something to be proud of. Just shows that you have little creativity.

Plus, it’s far more impressive for someone to kill people as a non-FotM build than it is with an FotM build. Also shows that the person is actually good at their class.

My goal isn’t to be the most creative player I can be, it’s to be the most effective player I can be. Sometimes creative new builds outperform old builds and in that case they quickly become the meta. Sometimes people try new things and it underperforms and doesn’t make it into the meta at that time. If I discover a new build that I believe will outperform my old build I switch immediately. If a new build underperforms my old build it gets dropped.

My goal isn’t to impress my opponent but to beat them. I don’t care if they think I’m good or bad or anywhere in between that’s not my problem and it’s not something I can control.

I make a serious effort to never complain about enemy builds, tactics whatever. If someone beats me with something I just try to find a way to beat them. If I can’t figure it out that’s my failing not theirs.

Phantasm and condi mesmer are good in 1v1’s, in any other situation I’d rather have an excellent shatter mesmer.

AoN is an excellent group of players, when we used to scrimmage them when they were on FA the fights ended up being 50/50 between the both of us. ONI however did not use any “required” or “optimized” builds.

For you to use “optimization” to justify cheese for yourself or others is just strange to me. If it’s fun for you, do it and who gives a kitten what people think, but don’t try to justify it with a weak argument like that and expect us to gobble it up.

The rumors are true. Opp and Riot guild specially have some great solo and small group roamers. I don’t like to represent any guild when I roam but be careful of a bumblebee Asura Ele you might encounter.
