I was swapping from to my ele when she was at LA and suddenly i got kicked by the server after swapping, It ended up losing and sometimes when my team is good i wins it. THis has to be fix ASAP. If a very noticable bug of faulty has been known for long time, why arent they fixing it……
Sometimes when i change classes from one to another before the game even start, it crashed for no reason. After i went back again to select the character that i should be changing into, it crashes again. Why is this?
Hmm yeah i think its worth alot of ur money rather than that subscription base
I’m glad you’ve found out how good this game’s music is! I never turn off game music in MMOs. As it happens I have been a classical music listener since the early 1980’s (had to pick something to put on the radio while driving and classical was the least distracting and the most calming, so I became a fan). And MMO music offers the orchestral beauty that I crave. It’s like it’s “acceptable” to those who scoff at classical, and it goes for music that’s fun to hear rather than meant for people with a mathematical appreciation of chord progression (1930’s-1960’s symphonic and chamber music, bleah).
GW2 in particular has quality music that really enhances the game. I’ve played a number of MMOs over the years (most in depth with WoW, GW2, and ESO) and the only one that’s had better music to my ear was the original sound track for Age of Conan. Though GW2 does better at developing the themes. The AoC music tends to state a theme, do one or two variations, then move on to the next.
As to the mistakes others have noted in this performance, yeah. It’s a phenomenal performance for a high school orchestra but no high school is going to match a professional philharmonic with decades of experience. You’re going to get a slightly tinny, strident sound.
Plus there is likely some bias in that we have previously only heard one version of the GW2 music. With established pieces that are constantly recorded we get used to enjoying the variations. I recall sitting in a car for 20 minutes after reaching my destination back in the 1980s just to finish listening to a particularly good Water Music recording by Christopher Hogwood with the Academy of Ancient Music. I’ve never heard it better rendered. But there aren’t a ton of recordings of HoT to pick from to find the most pleasing pacing and phrasing, so we tend to think of a “cover” as not doing it quite right rather than as an interesting interpretation.[/quote]
Nice, a true fan of classic. At first i wasnt even a fan of jazz but after hearing couple of jazz music from the 90s i became a fan of how energetic the songs are and unique. And yeah ive never listen to any MMO music coz some of them tend to play bad soundtrack, i only like to listen classics when i play Visual Novel. It got a really good classic.
Yup I noticed that, they were young. I hope they are happy for performancing a GW2 musics and would also play with us in game and make the game more populate as ever xD.
I wasn’t aware they made a festival – it’s an orchestra that the composers and Audio devs had links to and worked with them to use their music as part of a performance.
The music since LS1 has been exceptional from GW2’s sound studio, whether it’s Scarlet’s BreachMaker Theme, the Maguuma Wastes or the excellent tracks from Auric and Tarir. They are on par if not better than some of the stuff Jeremy Soule did specifically for GW2 (which aren’t as great as his GW1 tracks).
My only criticism is that it hasn’t entirely followed through into LS3, but that may be a resource factor. I have high hopes for the 2nd expansion of a return to form.
The orchestra was a bit off in places, but overall it was a cool and fun thing to listen to
Pardon me, it wasnt a music festival it was supposed to be an ochestra perfomance but because i forgot what the word was then i use music festival instead of that Really A pain, havent use orchestra or listening to orchestra words for a realllyyy long time so i had forgotten about it. And thank you for correcting me. Well there will be time when we can listen all the soundtrack of each maps in GW2
Not gonna lie, i am myself an introvert, why do i say that?? because i dont trust with anybody and only little trust with people that i dont know. years and years ive been playing games online and never speak with others, only in chat and not voice call. Whenever i speak in VC I always stuttered at that time. But now… i keep telling myself to change, so yeah . pretty good not i can talk to other people with VC but not as much tho, coz my anixity and only the people that i know of i can be free with myself People got to change ~
Hei guys, have you all watch the music festival Anet made ? If some of you havent seen the festival yet, go to this youtube link :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8nwiTNCcvE.
What are your thoughts about this ?
Okay me first :
First of all, im not really a fan of GW2 and never will be, but the game is good and making me coming back everytime without a care of falling far away from the content and really good for casual players also.
About the music now : For me personally I like all kind of music from classic jazz to EDM any genre and only a little of classical music that i liked but this one that they made were pretty good.
There are varity of mixes melodies like energetic, soothing melody, even the creepy one got inlist at there. Of course I listened from the beggining until the very end and ohhhh boyyy, that Attack on Tarrir at the beggining of playing was really energetic and the Lion’s Arch Lament was good also, from soothing melody and at the middle the note was going up. I had never even listen to GW2 music in game except SAB and at first time playing this game. Muted the game whenever i play, but after hearing all those music from HOT of how good the music were. I changed my mind and unmute it and play like any other gamers would.
It was a surprise for me , never seen a companies or publishers of any game online making things like this except Esport and movie like WoW did.
I wonder how much money they did spent to even care on making this music festival….
Some says there were mistakes while playing the instuments and not in tune with others. For myself , I couldnt hear any out of tune. But what can i say? im not really good at music and my ears almost deaf by using earphones everyday when gaming for 24hrs and i still think they made a great job of performancing the play. I salute you guys Anet.
Please try not to be rude like oh they are more care about music festival rather than balancing the game etc like that, just be positive.
Thank you for reading this.
P.S This is my first post after playing GW2 for 2 years. I just want you guys to know that Anet is still making great things for us and we need to support them.
