Guardian of The Acolytes

How is everyone ignoring warhorn !!
The weapon combo for this type of play, without a doubt is Hammer/Sword+Warhorn
A warrior is never backline, you are initiation, you are the hammer to the guardians Anchor/Pre-bomb.
kitten good plays here, but I have to ask, why the clicking? I believe if you use your keys(shortcuts) you can reach another skill level my man.
Definitely zerker
8/10 Has a nice flow.
Scaar Mindclaw is my name. A noble Charr a Mesmer Charr.
Who doenst auto-attack LOL?
Knights+Soldier Runes, Berserker Accessories and never look back!
I will have to disagree with your gear choices. You are punishing your party by going this route as it sacrifices to much DPS.
I am a 100% backer for the full Knights armor + Soldier runes and Zerker trinkets. You still have high survivability and good sustained DPS output. Coupled with shouts you are good to go in the support department.
Obviously you switch skills around based on the encounter and situation. Merciful intervention, is not one I recommend in using.
Acolytes[Aco] complete Guild Jumping Puzzle!
FACTS:
- 30 Valor gives you very little to no direct group support.
- 30 Honor gives you great group support.
- 30 Virtues gives you great group support.
- You cannot be 0/0/30/30/30, because that equals 90 points.
- You cannot go 30 deep in both great support lines and still pick up AH.
- You don’t need any survivability traits in order to be effective in a pure support role.
- You don’t need any damage traits in order to be effective in a pure support role.
- Since 30 Valor has almost no direct support traits and no support attributes, it has no reason to be mentioned in an argument about MAXIMIZING a support role.
Is AH a great build? Yes. Does AH give more survivability in group content than any other build? Yes. Is AH a better group build for most content? Maybe.
Is AH the best pure support build? No.
BRAVO!
For CoF i would do. Knights armor + Soldier runes, Zerker Trinkets and a DPS build such as:
10/30/30/0/0 GS/Sword+focus
With this build, party buffs, my GS autoattacks are typically 3k-4k.
We can all agree that Altruistic Healing is a great trait. However, experiment with other builds, look at your group composition in your havoc group or camp roaming group and find ways to make your build meld with those of your teammates.
Once you realize that WvW is not about getting that loot bag, that kill, stomp things it will be so much better.
Do what you want, how you want, whatever , enjoy how you play.
All weapons. Am I the only one who carries 7 hammers?
No Longbow. Crossbow maybe.
To elaborate on my one liner. There are a lot of options for builds on a guardian, more so than other classes. From AOE Large Symbol Blind Builds, to Hammer/MaceShield zerg disruptors.
Quite a lot information on our Guardian section here and good pool of talented players. Some youtube channels to note:

A lot more around, search, ask!
If you stop relying on Altruistic Healing, a slew of new builds will open for you =].

Nope, no boss =/
Acolytes complete the first Guild Challenge, 38 minutes after reset!
huah?! Seriously!
What! I love dredge fractal! Delicious Heavy Miner Bags YES! Also doable in the normal way. Have a guardian circle around and grab all the mobs and “tank” them on the opposite side of the door been opened.
I recommend in using mace+focus + greatsword and energy sigil on one of those weapons. Renewed focus also helps.
The new changes to AC are welcomed, and does not make the dungeon hard at all. You all need to re-evaluate how you are playing and work as a team. This goes for boon stacking and using your combos.
Most of my group was inebriated and chatting it up and were able to do all 3 paths easily.
I just did it, so no its not nerfed
Stop complaining about the costs of Influence, this thread is not about that it is about the bugged mission panel.
The game crashes when you trigger a Guild Mission and attempt to view the mission tab.
Cannot see hints.
Anyone else having this?

I will leave this right here, this is really the best way to do Lupicus for any run regardless of class:
ICC i want to see a video of you burninating people in WvW. GO!
I have been playing a support dp/support guardian since launch and its growing stale. Time for change.
My main is a Ranger and we now have a perma 25% run buff, my other is a Necro and the same thing (both were leveled before that patch)….
It seems EVERY SINGLE CLASS has a way to stay at 25% – 33% 90-100% of the time EXCEPT Mesmer…
How do you all deal with that? As is you are FORCED to use a focus and use a worthless trait that has NO secondary passive or functional skill like so many other classes as well.
It is just so nice to be able to get from point A to point B & C fast and without having to gimp myself because I am FORCED to use a specific offhand.
I can only imagine what you all go through in WvW or Pvp being unable to get away or catch anyone who wants to leave.
So I ask again how do you all deal with being the slowest class in the game?
Second slowest.
Guardian has to take an awkwardly-built 2-handed weapon, a trait, and a utility slot just to get 66% swiftness uptime. They have no other movement speed increases, no viable non-melee attack options, and no reliable skills to teleport, self-launch, or otherwise get away from enemies. Mesmers at least have blink.
Yes yes Guardian can tank to an extent, but if everyone except you is running away and you can’t follow them, you’re gonna die.
This isn’t to say mesmers don’t have it rough in the movement department, but it could be worse.
What? Guardians have:
1. Retreat
2. Save yourselves
3. Staff 3 ability
4. Judgement Intervention ( Burn Teleport)
5. Sword 2 ability ( Teleport with blind)
6. Greatsword Leap
We are the most mobile melee class(Guardians) with exception to perhaps thieves.

Well, first there are no tanks =]. There is support and control. As for builds and gear I highly recommend reading the sticky on the top of the forum called:
“[Guide] Hammer and Altruistic Healing gameplay”
Also, Strife025 has made an excellent guide as well and theory craft on support Guardians:
http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/70142-after-100s-of-hours-my-final-guardian-build/
Anubis is in every path so that wont matter. However Path 4 Lupicus is more annoying because of kittening RANDALL.
@Ravenmoon PM me with how you prefer your play I can give you some tips.
Beat it.
Human Guardian
No Speed boosts.
Boots are from Heavy skin you get with gems.
That was my theory to. Only up to 3 charged lodestones lol.
@Dookies
How did you afford that set? Its over 100g…
