Sooo…not that I approve of breaking up Duels…But I see no announcement anywhere except the one saying WM should bring their zerg killers. While I do get it as being a joke…the implication to most people(particularly non-native English speakers) is that there was a zerg preparing to attack. If you want duels…try announcing it in the Forums and asking us to post about it in Map Chat.

Good idea. What happened was a couple of DB and I chanced upon a duel between someone from Kaineng [RE] and someone from Maguuma [WaR], and discovered there were a bunch of Maguumans around, so we stuck around and hung out. Maybe half an hour later or so, a group of Kaineng, maybe 20~30 came and stomped all of us _ Hence, I was a bit annoyed. Then again, some people were doing the Spider Challenge so maybe they thought we were fighting?

I’m glad we have people like Preacher and Grit to be voices of reason. The drama phishers are starting to become kind of amusing, actually, making a wonderful impression of their respective servers/guilds.

Remember, Dragonbrand, the further we are ahead, the more humble we need to be. I hope we continue to be the mature and fun server we’ve been thus far.

To those of us on DB who are posting screen shots of completely green maps just to rub the loosing servers nose in it, please stop. I understand that not everyone who posted had that intent, but do we really need 3+ post showing that? DB has been where these servers are and understands the struggles that they are facing now, and those the are to come. let’s continue to be a server that honors our opponents in defeat, and victory. Show some class guys.

When beautiful Ascalon was Seared by the Charr and numerous battles later, Prince Rurik grit his teeth and decided to retreat to Kryta, bringing the battered refugees safely over the Shiverpeak Mountains. He was pretty much disowned by King Adelburn in the process, who stood firmly rooted in Ascalon, staunchly defending his homeland. Rurik saved his people, Adelburn held his beliefs, and neither were in the wrong — just different points of view.

I know there will be a lot of bitterness in the beginning, but I hope, one day, we can all let it go and not single out anyone for making the tough decision to move to a different realm. I’m sure it was hard enough to leave their beloved homeland, but we do not need to make it harder by calling them traitors and the such…

With that said, the WvW I know is filled with good sportsmanship. Let’s continue that and drain off the bad blood?

DH Last Stand

All maps are green but DH garrison has held on for more than 5 hours now. Thanks to Flint Iron Fist for insisting on upgrades, and the brilliant and charismatic Andrew Sinclaire for smart, decisive commanding!

Hopefully it’ll push through til the next shift arrives. The battle is still ongoing.
