2) World bosses are currently too easy
3) There are some bugged skills and traits
Yes.
Even as a heavy Linux user I don’t really see a market for GW 2 on Linux. I don’t think GW 2 is one of the desired games to come to Linux by Linux users, because I know that not a lot of Linux people play it, and if they do, they have a Windows box or KVM machine to play it on.
Is it inconvenient? Sure, it’s annoying for a few levels. You play for a few hours and it’s all gone, you’ll have more points, you’ll have unlocked different traits. It’s really a small inconvenience. It’s not a slap in the face.
Because it’s a transitional situation and not something most players have to deal with, there was zero reason to take the developer time to develop a system that would only be used once, during the transitional period.
Few levels is an understatement, and saying that you only play for a few hours to get the trait spec you want is a massive understatement. It’s a massive inconvenience for anyone with lower level characters that didn’t have enough hero points to get at least two trait lines.
I got stuck with the wilderness survival, while that wasn’t at all what I was going for. I felt really confused when I didn’t see my skills, skills I had carefully chosen that was just swapped out.
That kinda speaks against the whole idea of the RPG genre. You’re supposed to control your character, not the devs control it for you.
The way I see it this was a real slap in the face. I’m not happy at all, in fact I’m really angry about this.
You know what is worse than making the wrong choice yourself? Having someone make the wrong choice for you. And it’s infuriating.

Btw, ain’t you supposed to get hero point for every odd level after 11?
You wont get a reset, but leveling or getting hero challenges will allow you to unlock everything
You do realise that it will take a long time to get enough hero points to unlock the trait tree I wanted?
I got a full wilderness survival instead of marksmanship.
Wouldn’t be too hard to give people the choice of which trait line to pick after the patch.

There are some things I don’t like with the new system:
- If you don’t have maxed out points for skills you will lose some utility skills (meaning it messes with the builds you used, NOT COOL).
- Being forced into a certain kind of trait wheel (got wilderness survival but wanted markmanship, again NOT COOL).
- The higher traits and skills in the wheels aren’t necessarily better. Feels like some of it is just “thrown in there”.
- Horrible UI, very disorganized (at least the utility skills just slapped together on the left side).
I’m just wondering when people will get respec so they can take the utility skills they want while considering the new system and picking the trait spec line they actually want.
I lost some utility skills as well, which messes with my build planning, and I don’t feel in control of my character any more.
Also, my ranger didn’t get hero point for lvl 27 & 29.
I prefer Staff and Sword + Torch most of the time, though I sometimes switch the Sword + Torch with Sword + Sword.
I’ve played a warrior for quite a bit, it was pretty good and seemed pretty balanced, but I noticed that I was severely lacking in underwater combat compared to other professions. I don’t consider myself the most skilled player, but I know to dodge and use skills at the right time.
Does anyone else feel this way about underwater combat for warrior?
