Alright commenting on this necro’d thread because I’m having the same problem and would just like to know if the commendations are in fact a very rare drop or has this thing been bugged for the entirety of the expansion. Haven’t received credit from Tarnished Traitor, either.

How is it possible that a completely story progress-blocking bug in the FIRST story instance is still not fixed? Get your kitten together, Anet.

Same problem, the screenshot quality seem to have been lowered significantly from before. Agreed with the -bmp command line, since the previous compression settings were giving out good quality screenshots after all.

Outfit: Daydreamer’s Finery
Gender: Female
Race: Only tested on Norn female (likely same deal with all races that use female version of the outfit?)

The outfit’s panties remain the default green that the outfit uses, no matter if you fill in all dye slots with other dyes. The panties show in obvious under-skirt pantyshots and as such wouldn’t be really a problem, but slivers of it also show past the skirt part. See screenshots for all filled dye channels and how the green shows even when not taking an obvious pantyshot. Please fix.

Please add the coat boxes to the Crests vendor. Every other part of the set can be unlocked by at least two different ways (LS chapters, the vendor, chests) and even the collections to unlock the Luminescent pieces leave very little to RNG especially now that all specific extractors can be bought from the vendor. It is unbelievably frustrating and demoralizing to leave the last part of the set to be obtained ONLY by RNG. Grinding Vinewrath feels just aggravating after countless of kills without seeing a coat box drop.

Excuse my ignorance of terminology, but are you referring to getting the 11 achievements for the big wintersday reward, title, and 40 achievement points? I’m pretty sure the wintersday dailies do not count toward that. There are 14-15 achievements to chose from 4-5 of them are repeatable, but only count for the first time you complete them. If the 5/5 is a part of it, it only counted the first day you did it. It was designed that way. There is more to chose from than must be completed. Again if that’s not what you’re talking about, I apologize.

The repeatable ones (like Toypocalypse Survivor) don’t count towards the meta even the first time you complete them, which leaves only 11 achievements in the category that DO count. You need to complete all those to get the meta with NO CHOICE in the matter whatsoever. Also completing the 5/5 Wintersday dailies for the first time didn’t count towards the meta either (neither do Grawnk Munch/Generous Harvest achievements although they appear under the A Very Merry Wintersday achievements once you complete them).

Also during previous festivals completing the festival-related dailies always counted towards the meta, so either it has been changed or it’s a bug. The thing is, we don’t know, and would be pretty cool if a dev could chime in whether or not this is intentional.

Played just fine half an hour ago, suddenly lag from hell, disconnect, and I’ve been unable to log into the game since. The website was also down for quite a while so that I couldn’t even log onto my account here and come whine in this thread. This is getting really unacceptable without any acknowledgment from ArenaNet.

This has been going on almost daily from the November 18 patch, during EU primetime. I have no other connection issues outside GW2. Some words of encouragement from the devs would already do wonders: is there any idea where these issues are coming from? Is anyone working on solving the issue? The lack of communication from the devs is infuriating and slowly ruining this game I love and enjoy quite a lot.

Constant lag, skills/dodges ect not working at all or not activating for a long period of time, people running into walls, interacting with items happening with a delay of a few seconds or even minutes. If using a teleport skill it doesn’t activate properly and after the lagspike is over I am teleported back and forth a few times until settling.

I get alot of freezing also, and after the lagspike is over everything happens fast at once until I freeze again in less than a minute and the same happens. I disconnect every now and then after a lagspike (usually at least 2-3 times a day), and logging back in might take several minutes or I cannot login at all.

Sometimes the lagging and disconnecting stops for an hour or so but then starts again.

I’m experiencing the exact same issues since the latest patch, especially on Silverwastes. Am also in Finland, but playing on Ring of Fire. Can’t even login as of now.

It’s been two weeks since you acknowledged the bug and said a fix is in the works, is anyone REALLY working on fixing it?? I don’t feel like even trying to do the achievements or try the story with another character to get the other shoulder skins before I know I won’t have to spend ages whittling down the annoying boss or restarting again and again.

Arenanet please, you already released the next chapter, how about trying to fix the previous one.

i have a theory about the golem, that if you already obtained one at any point in the account’s existance, you don’t get a free one. on the older account did you ever get a banker golem? i also currently have this possible issue, but i know for a fact i have obtained the golem before (digital deluxe thingy, so every toon gets one). entirely possible this could be what causes it

Nope, the golem isn’t free for me either and I have never had one before, so that’s not the case.

In the other thread someone discovered that disabling auto proxy detect solved the CoherentUI crash issue.

Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections > LAN Settings
Make sure “Automatically detect settings” is UNchecked

This has solved the issue for several of us on both Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.

Computer #1: Trying to run installer. No instances of Coherent are running regardless of installer state.

Computer #2: Game installed. Running the launcher causes 2 instances of Coherent to start and immediately disappear. No instances running when gw2 launcher is killed.

The second part is exactly what’s happening to me as well. Running on Win7 68bit.
