Yep, “fix” Incin which has everything a Legendary should have rather than focus on those that need it like Howler, Kraitkin, FSP and Kudzu.
At least Howler and Kudzu received their promised updates. The size of Kudzu’s footsteps are like mini puddles of plants. FSP has visuals that make it ba even from 5 screen lengths away. I mean come on, for an off-hand its effects are large enough to cover the character itself. But that’s besides the point. The point is that we didn’t receive something as promised.
Look, i’m holding a legendary. Really i am, my coat is just covering it. Pfft, some legendary.
Soo many posts about this. But yes, the incinerator was untouched even though it was promised an update.

This has been heavily discussed ever since the legendary update patch went live. However, anet has yet to make a response if this was intential or a mistake on their part. Judging by the fact that there has still been no response however, it’s safe to assume they don goofed and would rather not discuss it.
Guys, remember this thread is about fixing the legendaries that were supposed to be updated. Not updating the current legendaries.
Yeah, there have been quite a few posts about this actually. Pretty sure anet has seen it by now but perhaps there is something that is prohibiting them from commenting on this. We just have to be patient until the next patch hits.
I think this belongs in the Bug Report section rather than Game Discussion.
Maybe you guys should try sending an in-game bug report stating that some of the legendaries didn’t get the promised update. That should get some awareness.
Well, hopefully there will be some sort of announcement soon. I’m sure anet wouldn’t want to have the image of a company that gives out empty promises.
Can a dev respond and tell us what the so called change was?
I’ve sent in a bug report stating that Incinerator hasn’t been updated as it was promised. Just seeing if I can get a reply about it.
Perhaps we’ll get some kind of response soon.
Maybe they weren’t redy because they also wanted to give them a unique aura? =)
I’m all for it!
Haha, we can hope =b
Anyways, I’d be happy to just get some news on the intended changes that were supposed to happen to Incinerator.
so what are you looking for as far as changes to the incinerator?
-bigger longer lasting footfalls?
-some kind of fire aura?
-equipping it sets your whole character on fire (more funny than practical but would be cool fro some people)?
-some people like the effects incinerator has, some don’t; what would you change or do you like it as is?
Anything that would make it feel more like a legendary really. Maybe a small heat aura that emits from you while wielding it? Kinda like the aura that the greatswords emit (sorry to compare Incinerator to them again). Or the aura can be in the form of small sparks or tiny writhing flames floating about you. Or better footfalls. Maybe more flames coming out of the footprints so that it’s more prominent. It just feels sort of lacking, but that’s my opinion.
I would also like to add the following tid bits on the Incinerator:
While equipped in the off hand slot, you do not recieve the “firey swirls” upon wileding the weapon.
While playing as the Norn or Charr, if the width of your gloves/gauntlets exceed a certain threshold (fused gauntlets), then the arm “aura” of the incinerator is completely covered by the huge gloves/gauntlets.
Wow, I didn’t know that. That sounds really bad on character models that are bulkier then =S
They should just remove the swing effect, projectile effect and footsteps from twilight and sunrise, and leave the epic blade art. This way people would STOP COMPARING EVERYTHING TO THE GREATSWORDS. Leave the footsteps for eternity.
sheesh!
If only.
Heh, you know the funny thing is that even though I was comparing Incinerator to Twilight/Sunrise, I actually don’t like the greatswords. I love the effects, but the weapon itself is very…Meh.
Taking a blowtorch to your enemies…. yeah sure that’s not totally hardcore. /sarcasm
If you wanted twilight, why didn’t you make that instead? Leave incinerator as is.
I don’t understand why people make legendarys they don’t like? I made bolt, and I’ve almost finished howler. If I got ‘the legend’ to drop I’d sure as pie sell it like hotcakes because I think bifrost is stupid.
Make legendarys that appeal to you.
I never said I didn’t like Incinerator. I made it before because I liked it, but after the recent update, it has been really outshined by other legendaries. I don’t want to sound biased, since I also have Bolt which I feel is an amazing legendary that actually has a legendary feel. A lot of people complain about The Mintrel, but let’s not forget that it has gotten a major update itself. I just feel as though Incinerator has been left behind as a lesser legendary, if that makes sense, but to each his own of course. As many of the people here have stated, it’s just disappointing when you are promised an update and it doesn’t happen. Empty promises, y’know?
@Dresdan, thanks for that. I didn’t see that post. So how do we go about addressing this to anet?
Yeah I’m just a little surprised that there hasn’t been any announcements addressing the changes to Incinerator that were supposed to happen. I just wanna know if there was meant to be any changes and anet forgot about it or something.
@Forgeweld, i see your point. But the thing is that Flameseeker’s Prophecy looks absolutely stunning already, and The Minstrel did get an update and the new effects are also amazing. Incinerator, as cool as it is, feels lacking when wielded.
Yeah, but the burning hand doesn’t make up for the other beautiful effects that the other legendaries got =/
I’m glad that anet revamped many of the legendaries as some of them were just horrid before. I’m especially pleased with my Bolt, even though it was just a small upgrade on the footfalls, it’s much more prominent and it feels like a legendary with its effects. However, I feel as though Incinerator is falling behind. All of the revamped legendaries look amazing. Many new particle effects, texture upgrades, added animations, upgraded footfalls, and other cool things. When you compare Incinerator to everything else, it just feels very lacking. It doesn’t have any cool effects like the streaks twilight/sunrise leave behind or the electricity emitted by Bolt and it doesn’t have impactful footfalls. I can see it being tough to add animations or cool effects to a dagger since it’s a small weapon in nature, but if that’s the case, why not make its footfalls larger/cooler or add some sweet things like your character emitting some kind of heat aura or writhing flames around you. That would totally compensate for its size as a weapon. I also remember hearing the dev say during the livestream that there was supposed to be footfall upgrades for Incinerator, but nothing has changed =/ A couple of my friends and others in Lion’s Arch were disappointed by this. The change didn’t happen as indicated. The new revamped legendaries have set a standard for “legendaries”, and Incinerator just doesn’t quite have a place in the legendary line-up.

I was wondering if the settler’s armor and weapons are still available to purchase in southsun. I was told they still are but you just need control over the camps. Any confirmation?
Hi anet, I just wanted to inform you that you may have misleading information regarding the drop of Holographic Dragon Wing Cover. This has caused much confusion within the game. The Dragon Bash mini guide that is provided on the main site states that the Dragon Wings may be obtained by the Dragon Coffers, however, the patch notes in the forums does not include the Dragon Wings as one of its drops, nor does the Guild Wars 2 wiki. Both state that the Dragon Coffers do not yield Dragon Wing Covers.
I’ve read the guide that anet made for the Dragon Bash event and it said that Dragon Coffers do have a very rare chance to drop the dragon wings. However, on the wiki it says that it does not drop it. So I’m very confused and I was wondering if someone can confirm it really does drop from the Coffers or not.
