If you’re trying to find out how to get in contact with us when math and cookie are offline you can visit us at http://mmagw2.com/recruitment and apply there.
You can also contact myself and if i’m on I’ll be more than happy to show you around the guild and how we work!
And it’s only the +5 that’s account bound.
Every other level is unbound.
Will not do fotm 49. Being FORCE into a full tank team is stupid when anet has been lecturing us about class balance and all that jazz.
Whoever implemented the pavilion idea needs to get kicked in the face. Seriously? You want us to coordinate with people we’ll never see again after this event. trying to explain to a map of random people that they need to split up into 6 groups and each do one boss is like herding cats. Anet gave us NO tools to do this except by commander tag. Commander tags are all neat and great but unless there’s 6 commanders on the map, the pubs will gravitate towards the dorito. that’s how they’re trained in WvW. What makes the dev who thought this up think they’d break habit?
It’s the start of summer and old and new people alike are playing the game again. So what does Anet do? They give us a gold/mat sink patch. We have to give up so much in order to do this patch that it’s just disheartening. I feel sympathy with all the new people who have to pay the waypoint fee over and over again due to falling dmg. All those mats people have been saving will try to go to supply boxes. whoopy.
If you’re going to try to entice people back into the game, don’t make the patch one dimensional. Give us something back (like actual loot from mobs?) if you’re gonna force us to do these tedius events for achievements.
I play the game for fun. How I achieve my fun is through interaction with people, kicking butt in dungeons, and making boat loads of money.
I learned how to run every dungeon in the game minus arah (not my fav place) with friends when I first started playing. I’ve made many friends from the game. Some have quit some still play and I make new friends all the time in game. As for money, the game gives you so many avenues of money I’m still surprised that most people who have been playing for over a year don’t have a stockpile of gold or a legendary.
Anet is very very very very very very very (is that enough?) predicable on how their patch cycles will work and how to make the most money from it. Even if you don’t realize anet is basically giving you free gold most every patch, the game content provides enough instances to make gold that you should never be short. From dungeons to world events to gathering to crafting, Anet opened up these avenues. All it takes to discover how to make money is to look beyond on the cover. What do people use all day? what do people like to buy? what don’t people ever want to do so they’ll be instead? etc. ask questions that you’d ask as a casual/hardcore player and the game will give you answers on how to make money.
there was a topic about something like this on reddit a while ago. Someone tried to figure out if there was money to be made from black lion chests. Spend like 5k gold on keys. didn’t even make back half of that.
Using money on black lion chests is not a viable way to get the items you want in the game. It’s as close to lottery system as it gets. You can spend money to get it but the chance for you to actually make that money back is slim to none.
Next time I suggest you farm gold and then buy the skin you want from it. Don’t blame Anet for your gambling addiction or your lack of common sense.
Hey all. As the title implies, I’m one of the old guard looking to get back into the game. I firmly believe that a positive guild experience helps people stay and enjoy the game even more. I have full level 80’s on everything except engineer. I have 2 toons that are fotm 50 (i think necro and guardian). I also have experience with my other toons but fotm forced me to play necro guard. I was previously in a major pvx guild in FA before I quit the game for personal reasons.
I want to get back in and explore what I’ve missed. Not really big into meta living story events except to make gold. More interested in dungeon exploration and world boss hunting. I’m in my later 20’s and am available to game most days and nights. I used to be pretty hard core but i’m passed that. I just want to have fun with people who are mature but not above poking fun at each other. Not interested in a guild where members joke about drugs, racism, and degrading topics.
If you’re interested in recruiting me, just mail me in game at lightdruid.7689 or contact me. I’ll be on for a few hours while I’m watching the league of legends playoffs today.
Are the dye packs perm or temporary?
If they’re temporary, do we know when they’ll be taken off the gem store?
I’ve been playing for over a year. I want a guild where I can do fotm 48 and below with people who know what they’re doing. I have 3 toons with 45 ar. I have all toons at 80 except engi and I do know how to play them all. My mains are my necro, guard, and ele atm.
I used to like WvW but my focus right now is just to have fun. I’m fine if it’s a new guild as long as membership is up to a point where 40-50 people are on a day. I dunno. I’m just tired of being treated like dirt. It takes a bit out of you, you know?
oops. this is why i can’t do this when i’m sleepy. it’s staff* not stakitten lol
Necros can live through 48 maw ar ticks with no help as long as they have FULL life force. I’ve had to do it before when some of my party members ended up killing us all at the maw.
Made them all die over and over to get their life force and then proceeded to eat all the ticks.
sell it. not worth toileting
This is what guild events are for. If you’re a member of a guild with enough people, ask your officers to set up a temple clearing event.
I use the Celestial set on my ele for all around pve. I’ve run it in form 48 with no problem so far.
For weapons I have 3 zerker daggers with force, bloodlust, and battle on them. I also use 2 stakitten (magi/pvt) with a renewal and battle sigil on both.
For armor I went celestial one set and zerker with the other. The zerker has scholar runes and the celestial has exuberance runes. Does decent all around and switching roles on the fly is hilarious fun
if you get all rares from this that’s around 106 rares. at a 90% ecto rate from rares, ur looking at around 95 or so ectos. 32s per ecto and ur looking at around 30 something gold.
As for exotics, not worth it. 3 exotics + mfs = 700 or so tokens per and unless you get a precursor, you’re not going no where.
Ummm crafting has always been a good way to make money. Lots of people who don’t understand the demand players have for certain items complain that they can’t craft for money. This is simple wrong. Sure there times where an item you could be making for cash goes poof because of a shift of demand but there are ALWAYS items people want. It’s the crafter’s job to find said items and find ways to get the mats to make them. It’s not hard if you know about item daily and weekly trends.
Not that I’ve seen. Yes, there are always items you can create to make money. But, the time it takes to make 1g compared to making 1g farming in the game elsewhere makes it pointless. There are times when some item can net you close to a gold, but it only takes one or two times having the market shift in the midst of production to eat up those profits. Having a single item with 20g invested in its construction not sell means you’ll either sell at a loss and eat a few g, or hold onto it and potentially lose that or more.
Now your crafting has to make up for that loss.
Killing/farming mobs will outpace crafting in income easily and reliably. It requires almost no homework, is something you can do with other people and has a small chance at huge gains (find a certain precursor and its worth weeks of crafting profits).
I really want crafting to be viable. In fact, there are some weeks where after long days I’d rather come home and make a little gold crafting than running out and beating down champs or running dungeons. Spidy makes it easy to look for opportunities, so long as you’re wise enough to avoid the obvious, but those opportunities provide too little gain compared to time spent.
This is where experience in the market and consumer demands comes into play. At the moment, there are a few dozen items that can be crafted to make a profit. A lot of people can’t seem to realize what items are in demand and what items no one wants. Every item made/sold has a cycle when mats become cheap and then be sold when the item sells for highest. It’s up to us to figure out when those cycles are and to take advantage of it. I hammer this to my guildies who want to make easy gold in the game and a few have gotten good enough at cycle prediction to make money doing nothing but crafting and flipping on the tp.
If I had one major complaint about the economy in GW2, it’s how useless crafting is as a revenue generator. Farming your own mats doesn’t make it any better, as you’d do just as well selling the mats you farm as combining them into an item and selling. There are items on which you can earn some revenue, but the amount of profit is so small for those that again, farming is faster and more reliable.
This isn’t a fault of the “economy”
Well…It partially is, but it’s a combination of the fact that crafting is so easy, the fact that crafting gives exp, and the market is so efficient in terms of buyers and sellers interacting. The combination of these factors make tasks with low bar of entry like crafting unprofitable.

I still have a huge stockpile of recipes that I got from the Zephyr Supply Boxes, and I jsut banked them in hopes that prices would rise. Seems like I will need to do some price checking when I log on later.
Same, just don’t know who would want these stats. They don’t fit in anywhere other than it looks cool to have a wall of stats lol. Guess i will make some gold when I get home if people are actually paying these prices.
There are 2 classes that can make use of celestial stats. outside of those 2, you lose so much dps it’s not worth it.
Celestial weapons though are very interesting.
A lot of people don’t seem to understand that there are many many factors that are involved in prices of items. You may have researched your item and seen the market trends for the past few days but you’re obviously missing other parts of the supply/demand/flip chain cuz you’re getting undercut like crazy.
The current economic situation is creating a lot of supply for certain mats/items due to the ease with which people can farm them (pavilion). The events have also created a beastly demand on certain consumables as well as other items as people make money and want to improve themselves.
If the item you’re listing is at all influenced by mats supply thanks to the new event, you’re going into a market that people will undercut like crazy in order to make profits Now. That’s just the nature of the economics of the game.
Don’t make assumptions about greed or the like because greed is something that drives EVERYONE who plays the game. Whether it’s items, gear, achievement points, # of lvl 80’s, etc; everyone is greedy about something.
Our guild is now in the process of making our first guild missions after only 3 weeks. We’re now up to 80 something members and our events have expanded to cover a majority of the week.
We’ve introduced dungeon master events, naked orr racing, guild lotteries, signature making, and many more things to come. Come check us out for more info and don’t be afraid to message any member on the site to find out more about us! We promise we don’t bite.
Ar for a guard means lots of work. I do more work in the AR last boss than I do in shaman 48 fotm.
Hello, my name is cyjake and i’m one of the officers of [HERO]. [HERO] is a new guild of a few days comprised of people who have been playing the game for months. We have people who are masters of dungeons and general pve. We also have awesome WvW commanders who know tactics very well.
What [HERO] is striving to do:
1. Create a tight knit community where people feel they can belong
2. Help people achieve dungeon achievements (including FOTM)
3. Have experienced members help new people be the best players in pve/wvw
4. Help people on their toon builds. We have awesome class builders.
5. Have Fun
Who does [HERO] want?
We’re looking for adults (18+) who are looking for a home in Fort Aspenwood.
PVE players who want people to run dungeons with.
WvW players who enjoy a casual day out in WvW kitten ing people off
Casual players who want to maximize the fun they can have in their limited time.
Hardcore players that just love the game and can help those in need.
People who can sing while intoxicated. Why? Why not?
As [HERO] is a community guild, 100% representation with alt guild bank exceptions is the current rule. If you are (become) a member of [HERO], you will be surrounded with people who want to get to know you as a person and not just what you can bring to the table class-wise in pvp/pve. That’s the biggest part of being in [HERO]. The core group of members have been gaming with each other for months and want to maintain that closeness as we continue to grow. We feel that if your home is [HERO] then we will do our best to earn the 100% representation. If the a person gives us their allegiance, the guild will give back to them as well.
Where can I sign up?
http://gw2hero.enjin.com/recruitment is our application link. We use our site extensively with communications, guild resources, and events so members MUST have an account on our website if they are to experience the guild the way it should be.
http://gw2hero.enjin.com/home is our homepage and it’s full of quirky stuff like all the links to all the Hero songs ever made.
If you need to contact an officer or leader of [HERO] for more information, they can be mailed at:
